Beyond the Sea
Good food. A bit expensive.
Great filets and delicious desserts for our anniversary dinner.
Fabulous food and service. We were a party of 5 each had different appetizers and meals. Everything was excellent. Yes pricey but we knew that going in .
The food was amazing, but the experience was ruined by a large group who were seated at several tables and were being extremely loud. They were getting up and standing talking to people in their group who were seated at other tables. The waiter apologized for the noise but said management wouldn't do anything. It was so unpleasant that we didn't even stay for desert. We asked to speak to the Manager, and while he did apologize, he basically said he couldn't do anything. It was one of the worst dining experiences we've had and it was extremely expensive.
Dined there before, this year not so good. Very loud and food not up to the price, had the veal chop $85.00 and so not worth it . We’ll never dine there again and we definitely won’t recommend it
Friendly knowledgeable staff, nice setting in a quaint downtown. Full bar with good beer menu and a nice cocktail list. We sat on the porch and it was really nice. Chilean sea bass over risotto was cooked nicely and tasted good. Poppy crusted seared tuna tasted really good and was served over a really delicious “Thai” rice but the fish was sliced awkwardly which took away from the dish. Stay for dessert instead of going to Ben and Jerry’s. Really enjoyable overall.
Great spot. Small inside and with si her/guitarist it was difficult to converse.
We were waited on immediately by the lovely and efficient Julia. Good food, our only complaint stemmed from the loud, poor quality live music. We couldn’t carry on a conversation! We will return when the music leaves.
Really nice find in Bolton Landing. Excellent food, service was perfect, prices a bit high for the area.
Preface: I’ve eaten all over the world, from 1 star street food to 3 Michelin star restaurants, multiple times. I’ll try to keep this review short.
We had two appetizers, the calamari and “crispy” pork belly.
Calamari was great, a little expensive for what you get but still worth it. The pork belly tasted great but it wasn’t crispy… doesn’t make sense why the menu would say crispy but you receive non crispy… anyways wasn’t too big of a deal.
The scallops entree was the only amazing thing of the night. But it was served cold. We saw it sitting on the counter for a few minutes, and the waitress said there’s a heating lamp and don’t worry… there was no heating lamp. Like come on. Lying in front of our faces? Sorry that’s not cool.
The special Thai spiced halibut was subpar. Dry and overcooked, easily done at home much better than paying $50 for a small plate of fish. The Beijing duck was okay, but the cold noodles just ruined the dish. Chinese restaurants can make a better half duck for half the price. We wrapped up the meal nicely with the limoncello marscapone cake, which was actually very very good, but it wasn’t made in house so I’m not crediting the restaurant for the cake. I say the food is 4 stars, but we ordered the wrong items on the menu for sure. Cannot recommend this place…
Excellent food, husband said best filet mignon he ever had
Probablly the best restaurant in Bolton Landing. There's not much of a choice in that town and Beyond the Sea does a great job. The food was delicious, excellent service and they accept reservations. No standing around waiting for a table as you do in most every other restaurant in town. Prices are not cheap, but they're not insane as they are at Chateau!
This restaurant never disappoints. Great food and service.
Amazing dinner on the porch, we both had the sea bass which was incredible. Pricey but very highly recommend. Chase was our server and was friendly and professional.
Skylar is a delightful server! Cocktails and food were delicious!
Lovely little gem in Bolton. Excellent variety, and something for everyone. Portions were very substantial and everything we ordered was delicious. Really enjoyable.
Great service from Winston. Nice drink selection. Simple but well rounded menu with options.
Try the pork belly appetizer!
family vacation dinner
Food was good but not the best. We are expected more.
Great meal. Wonderful server. Noisy and guitar player was not the best. Acoustic music would have been more appropriate.
Delicious entrees - beautiful presentation, great energy!
Clean, neat. Courteous staff. Beautiful presentation. Excellent food! A definite must go back there again! Thank you!
My meal was delicious (the salmon) My husband ordered the rib eye which was sub par at best.
Restaurant is very noisy, service ok.
Pricey for what you get.
Food was good but expensive. Few entrees were under $45.
The food is the best we have ever had in the lake george region, and even better than many high end NYC restaurants. They are high priced, so be ready, but worth it.
Amazing food and service! Perfection! Would highly recommend
Excellent seafood in Bolton. Delicious seafood risotto, yummy scallops and a perfectly prepared ahi tuna blew us away. Our server was was outstanding. Attentive and friendly. The owner stopped by several times to check in on us. We’ll be back.
We had a wonderful meal!! Food is always exceptional! Service warm and friendly. Love it here!
Meal that Did not include appetizes Or dessert should not have taken over 2 hours
Solid food, friendly wait staff
Wonderful service. Winston was great. Food was excellent, will definitely return.
Food was good but nothing exceptional for price. Very overpriced.
Our waiter was great! Brought our drinks to the table in no time. The food was excellent, portions are substantial so bring your appetite!
We had a very strange experience last night.
We arrived at 6.30 with our toddler and ordered cocktails and two mains. ( we can't do drawn out dinners these days) The cocktails arrived but weren't v good. One was my fav; cocktail expresso martini, it had none of that lovely coffee froth on top, I wondered if it was expresso at all or just strong coffee. After 30 minutes we started to wonder what was happening, then bread appeared without explanation. At 40 minutes we asked a young lady what was happening and she said she would follow up with our waiter and then nothing happened for 15 more minutes so we decided to abandon paying $40 a dish (or more) and leave. When we told our waiter we were gong to leave he said he understood and gave our cocktails for free but still no explanation. That was our experience.
BTS is our new go to spot in Bolton Landing! Great food, interesting (but somewhat limited) wine list and friendly service. Every bit as good as the “celebrity” spot across the street!
Truly a special place to dine. Probably some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. Everything from the appetizers to the entrees was amazing.
Excellent food and service.
great cocktail menu and wine list
oner and staff went out of their way to ensure we were happy.
Great dinner. Food was delicious and our server Mary was the best.
Beyond the Sea is a great place for dinner at Lake George. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The prices are high even for Lake George ($45 entres / $15 mixed drinks), however the food was really good.
Excellent food! New appetizer- bay scallop crudo excellent as were the poppy seed crusted tuna and sea bass!
