if you want the best dinner in the area come here and avoid the one which has all the publicity. the Brussel sprouts appetizer was outstanding and large enough to share. The hummus appetizer, which seems to be a deconstructed version of hummus, is slightly disappointing, but the sauces that come on the dish were delicious. We had the sesame crusted tuna which came with fried rice with edamames. The sesame crust was cooked to perfection on the perfect sushi grade tuna. The tuna portion was equivalent to what would be 3 - 4 main portions in NYC or NJ.
The owner carries on a conversation with you to make sure everything meets or exceeds your expectations, unlike many high end restaurants where the waiter or maitre asks if everything is OK in a 10 second appearance.
Make this a don't miss restaurant.
There food is amazing the calamari is the best in the area the steaks and scallops are outstanding, it is also great to see the owners out on the floor running there show and conversating with there customers extremely nice people
Food was outstanding, every part of the meal was great, Large portions and great value for the price.
We went to another restaurant the night before and the price was twice as much and the food was not as good.

Incredibly overpriced restaurant in a now (after Columbus Day) deserted area. No marinara sauce available for the Calamari and, despite it being about 30% occupied, we were greeted very aggressively with, "do you have a reservation?". And, yes, we had an Open Table reseravation. The open kitchen looked like a warn diner kitchen, and our food sat under the heater waiting to be served for 10 min. Need we say more?
The food was great. Apps came out quick and water was refilled at an amazing rate. Drink oders slowed down a bit after the first and the entrée was slow to come out.
Very good food and a diverse menu offering something for everyone. (Unless you are a vegan)
Would go back!
I have a seasonal house nearby and have dined here a 2-3 times year since it opened. I made an online reservation the afternoon of 10/10 and was happy to get one because Bolton was so mobbed the night before. A short time later, I received a call from the owner David. He said that they were short staffed and that the service may be slow, and wanted to let me know as a courtesy. As it turned out, the service was great (thanks Matt) and the food awesome as usual.
I don't generally write reviews, but the fact that David took the time to reach out to me about the possibility of a not-perfect dining experience demonstrates great pride in product and ownership. Kudos!
Food was very good, creative, fresh and well prepared. Scallop and sea bass entrees were excellent. Service was friendly. Would return.
Had a great, we all loved what we ordered, be prepared to spend your money!! But well worth it!!! 😊
We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Beyond the Sea. The salads and meals, my wife had the salmon and I had a fantastic NY strip steak, were perfect. Our only disappointment was that the dessert menu was poor for a Saturday night dinner. It was 3 different cheesecake choices that was it. But we had no complaints, service and seating was exceptional. And we enjoyed our experience and look forward to another meal here when we return to this area again.
Beyond the Sea is a great restaurant, the food was excellent, service staff were very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.
The food was absolutely amazing. They had a clam chowder special that was probably the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back for sure.
Service needs improvement - we were seated and got water right away, but our server did not even know we were there. 10 minutes sitting there watching other diners who came in after us already get their drink orders. Finally a server came over and asked us if anyone had helped us which to me says no one even knew we were there. After that things went well. Food is good and portions are generous but extremely pricey.
Coming from NYC, this could have been on my top ten.
Sitting at the bar was a good move. Sam the bartender was so attentive and gave great recommendations. If you are a cab drinker, highly recommend “the calling.” Do not fill up on appetizers even though they are amazing. Entree portions was very large, we are so happy we saved room.
Ahi tuna was out of this world. My girlfriend had the sea bass and I thought she was going to eat the plate glass and all.
Highly recommend if you are in the area.

As first timers visiting Lake George we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem in Bolton Landing! Food was super fresh and the presentation was incredible! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal!

I would actually give this restaurant 4.5 stars. Food was excellent, a bit expensive like over $50 for any steak entree. Ambiance and service were very good. The room was little on the loud side but our server was attentive. They also did a lovely job serving a birthday cake that we bought into the restaurant. I would definitely go again.

Always amazing and consistent food! The owners are incredibly hospitable and care about every guest dining with them. There hasn’t been one time that one of them hasn’t come to the table to check in and thank us for coming. I’m fortunate to be in Bolton Landing frequently and dinner at Beyond the Sea is always something my friends, family and I eagerly look forward to.
The restaurant was full of energy, good conversation and cheer. My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was moist, flavorful and a nice portion. I ordered the Diver Scallops and they were full of flavor! The corn purée underneath was smooth and seasoned just right. Our waiter Winston was attentive, charming with a good sense of humor. The owner Dave came by and introduced himself. He is a great host and clearly loves what he is doing. He runs the restaurant along with his wife. His wife has an eagle eye for details offers a warm smile to all patrons and monitors the room to make sure everything is harmonious. In summary excellent food, welcoming environment, great value, chef driven restaurant! Definitely would come back.
Ordered the swordfish special and it tasted like it was thawed out and put in a microwave. All the dinner options are wildly priced. I won’t return
Got the Chilean sea bass and it was just ok for the price. The sides were very basic the risotto tasted like something you could get out of a package in the frozen section of the grocery store. Very unimpressed with the food despite the good reviews

We dined the year before when we were staying at the Sagamore and came back this year to celebrate my birthday. We dined on the porch and the food and service was excellent. A very enjoyable mea.
Food was some of the best I have had in a long time!! Don't let the name fool you, they have great steaks and seafood. The chef is very creative and for the quality of the food we felt it was a very good value. Remember you get what you pay for so better food will have a higher price but it was well worth it.
Drink list was also very creative, I had the Pear Martini and it was delicious !!

Wanted to like this place as we have cottage near Bolton. Some aspects were solid (service) but meal was very average and prices were unreasonably high. Sat outside and got a full view of rowdy, drunk townies that spoiled the ambiance... would suggest sitting inside. Salmon appetizer was great, salads good but Opa entree was really bad - had to return the fish and got a piece of Sea Bass. As it is touted as a seafood restaurant, I expected more.
Would suggest going to the the Chateau over Beyond the Sea ...

My husband and I went there for a night away from the kids. The service at the bar was awesome! Food was amazing. My steak was cooker perfectly and the lobster was so well seasoned! One of the best meals we have ever had out and can't wait to go back for another meal!.

The tuna was simply perfect, enjoyed the appetizers and rest of our meal too, but the sauces are so rich (and yummy) that it makes it hard to finish
