I am sorry to give a negative review for this restaurant since I have been here last year and it was great. Not this time! Since we had such a good experiences before, I arranged for our friends to join us there for dinner. They had never been there. The restaurant is very small. We were seated next to a table for 8. These people were so loud that we could not hear ourselves speaking. It was horrible!!!! Finally a group of 4 on the outside balcony asked to have their table changed since there were very cold. They asked us to trade tables which we gladly did even though we had to sit on the balcony wrapped in blankets provided by the restaurant in order to be somewhat comfortable. The food was ok but it was very, very overpriced given the quality. Since I'm gluten free, I asked if they had gluten free options. The server basically said that they are very limited in that area. She suggested that I have the burger which they could wrap in lettuce. The had no gf buns or pasta. I was very disappointed that all I could eat was a burger. The restaurant had steaks but they were soooooo expensive that I decided to just take the burger however I don't go to a restaurant that purports to be high end and just have a burger. The others in our party said the burgers were ok. My husband had pasta and he found it ok but nothing so good that he would return to this restaurant. The one thing that we found was good was our server. But her being nice could not make up for a poor meal and poor ambiance. What a disappointment since last year we had a great lamb dinner here and we loved it. Not this time.

While we're always open to constructive criticism, we feel it's important to clarify a few points from your recent visit. Your server—who is herself celiac—did inform you that nearly our entire menu is gluten free, with the exceptions of our burger buns and pasta. You responded “it’s ridiculous you do not have a gluten free bun.” To be clear, you ultimately chose the burger because, as you mentioned at the time, it came with fries. We were fully booked with no open seating. When you expressed discomfort being near a lively table (in our small, intimate space), we kindly asked another party to move so we could relocate you to the patio. We provided blankets to keep you warm and as comfortable as possible. Our team truly went above and beyond to respond to your concerns in the moment.

Food was delicious. Portions were unusually small. We weren’t expecting total a la carte. It would be nice to have one regular vegetable portion with the main course considering the price. Very pleasant evening out on the upper verandah.
