   I came with my daughter today to celebrate my birthday and we had a perfect afternoon tea. The waitress was very attentive and polite and the cakes etc were superb. We will certtailny come again.

   Very nice afternoon spent at Bettys, a lovely waitress called Karen J served us and was very accommodating. The pianist was great and he created a super atmosphere, we had a window seat which overlooked the local park. Great experience.

   Our group of five were really looking forward to this special treat in the Imperial Room. Lots of positives but some negatives. We arrived about 6-7 minutes early and were shown our table but we all just sat there until our booking in time, 6-7 minutes later. We really wanted to order, especially a cup of tea. We were able to change some of the fillings of our sandwiches, most of the group did not want salami, this was changed to egg. Not much of a choice of fillings, we were disappointed in those. Also, the sandwiches obviously had been made a little while as the bread was a little crusty not soft. It was very busy the whole time we were there, our main server was great but he was covering too many tables and each time we wanted something, like extra milk for the tea, sugar or fresh tea, it took several attempts and time to gain his attention. No issues of getting the items we wanted but just getting his attention took time. The checking in Manager, was a little sharp, she didn't smile and at one time, took or more like snatched some used plates from the table as though she was doing us a favour of clearing the table. Our table was next to the kitchen and near the checking in desk. Only got extra tea and sandwiches, no extras offered for the savouries, scones or small cakes. Not sure if I would rush back.

   A fabulous afternoon tea celebrating two birthdays in a glorious setting the lad serving us was outstanding the right amount of humour very attentive. The food was devine.

   I had been looking for an opportunity to dine here for many years. After attending a wedding in Ripon the previous day gave me the chance to book us in for Afternoon Tea. We arrived promptly on time and greeted kindly by the Team and taken to our table. There was a lovely hum and everything worked effortlessly. Our waiter (Ben’s) was very congenial and made it a lovely experience. The sandwiches, scones, and cakes were superb, as well as the choice of teas. Unfortunately I was driving so could not upgrade to champagne or Prosecco. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone.

   Thoroughly pleasant and enjoyable experience. Food quality was excellent. The ambience was a not above other restaurants. Relaxing, soothing background music by a live pianist. Service as always incredibly polite. Only query I came away with was that I probably wouldn’t return until they seasonally changed the menu as we are non-meat eaters. Portion sizes were great.

   Delicious food, would have liked vegetables included in the mince meal and then it would have got a higher score for food. Nice ambience with the pianist playing. Coffee too expensive for a cup. Glass of wine very expensive.

   Delighted that Betty’s has brought back evening dining . It’s perfect - food, surroundings , service - all of it . Great that the piano is back . As my husband out it , ‘ just so civilised ‘ .
