Great ambiance and friendly service. Got the ridiculously delicious mac and cheese with bacon and Schnitzel everything is highly recommend. Chef Playing Piano, you can’t find anywhere else in the city.
Always a pleasure to dine here! The food is wonderful and affordable. Only German - Italian restaurant in the city. The service is friendly top - class.
As a German, I can recommend this place! It’s about as close as you can get to good German food outside of Europe.
Consistently delicious food, excellent service. Absolutely perfect. My go to place in the neighborhood. I have tried German dishes which are outstanding. Pizza and pasta like from Italy. Thank you Bettola.
Amazing Food from their German Italian menu, We were sharing PIZZA which is the best on UWS. Hungarian Goulash is delicious. The service and live music was out of this world. Finally found our favorite place.
The worst chicken parm i have ever had ,the worst brick oven pizza i have ever had. will never go back
The food was incredible and the service was impeccable! We will return!
The best food I ever tried in NYC. Amazing German, Italian Dishes. I would recommend anyone who is from Upper West Side, NYC…to stop by and dine here. It was delicious! Love the live music also! 😊
It’s a little weird to have a full German menu, then things eggplant parm and pizzas - but I had the German platter and everything was delicious. I’d go back.
Chef / Lead Singer is a pretty lethal combo.
German dishes seem to overtake the italian that we came for. The Mama Mia salad was a marinated salad swimming in too much dressing. I always used to love this restaurant,
Nice place, good schnitzel.
Amazing German Food, finally i can have a great schnitzel and wurst on UWS . Lots of Live Music with lovely and Friendly waiters and owners. Thank you, we will be back !
Great German food but a bit pricey for what you get. While the schnitzel was huge, it was paper thin. The waitress really didn’t have a clue and couldn’t answer any question, without having to ask.
Love the entertainment the 2 singers where great it was soft rock in Spanish
Great live music performances, great energy!! Loved the place!
Delicious meal! I had the veggie frittata with potatoes and a salad. My partner had the mushroom fettuccine. Reasonably priced for the area and so is is a good value. The owners are very nice people.
such a great spot❤️
we stumbled upon this place by accident & we already have reservations booked in the future!!! sooo yumms!!!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
I enjoyed my experience as did my brunch/luncheon companions.
I guess it's been a while since I was there because I was startled by the addition of all the "wursts" and German menu items. Ditto the guitars and other musical instruments hanging from the ceiling.
My husband had the German Breakfast - he enjoyed it. I had the Salad Romano - the fennel was in chunks rather than the thin shavings I have enjoyed before. the dressing wasn't as lemony as I would have liked. I then had Eggplant Parmigiana and it turned out to be Eggplant Involtini instead. That's an ok dish, prepared in a health-conscious way (which pleased my waistline) but not what I had anticipated.
Our guest had the Caesar Salad - she liked it - I missed the addition of either croutons or anchovies. She followed with Baked Eggs w/ tomato sauce & cheese - and found it delightful especially the red sauce.
The Tiramisu was very good. The Chocolate Hazelnut Cake was ok but not great. The Cafe Americano was a bit watery - just ok.
We enjoyed talking with the new (to me) owner and hearing him play the piano. There was a delightful impromptu presentation of a song from Mama Mia by our (pleasant and responsive) waitress who is looking forward to a theater career once the theater re-opens! We wish her the best!
Led to a second date :)
Wonderful food interesting menu excellent service
Very tasty. Friendly service. nice sized portions. Good pizzas.
Great place for good food in the neighborhood. Also music that night!!
Friendly owners, best pizza, good pasta. Excellent value.
Enjoyed having dinner. Great service and nice people. All together very worthwhile. Also having some great music!
Bettola is a neighborhood gem. Delicious food at a very reasonable cost and the people there are always very welcoming. It's like eating at home without having to clean up! :)
JUst a great time with nice food and music. Will go again!!
We LOVE this restaurant, and we're so glad they're surviving the pandemic. Can't wait until they're FULLY open again.
Great spot! Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Food was amazing! I had eggplant parmesan for appetizer and main course chicken milanese and tiramisu for dessert everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend. Will be back soon!
Amazing, high quality, and tasteful food. Great environment. Patio outdoor seating both have heaters and are enclosed which is great for outdoor dining. Highly recommend.
Funky interior, great food. Homey feel, excellent background music and when the chef came out and played the piano everything went up a notch. Love it
GREAT FAMILY, neighborhood Restaurant. Stuff and Owners are very Friendly. Lots of music, Amazing home cooking ! We will keep coming back.
We love Bettola! Amazing pastas, great service, a real neighborhood place!
nice place, but staff yelling at kids just enjoying themselves is not cool. Pasta a bit overcooked, pizza better.
Overall, we had a very good experience. Prompt service, good food and reasonable prices. We will go back.
Awasame Food, Fantastic Service and friendly owners made my birthday special. Live music by the owner/ chef ! Can’t wait to come back.
Great place for a nice Sunday night dinner with the family
Went to this restaurant before going to the Beacon theatre on Feb 7th. Small, restaurant with tables extremely close to each other. I ordered the chicken in lemon and wine sauce with mashed potatoes. My huband ordered the lasagna. His food came out piping hot. I have a pet peeve about the temperature of my dinner and my dinner came out luke warm. The chicken was not hot at all which leads me to believe it was premade and not made to order. I sent the meal back and when it returned, it was the same temperature as when I sent it back. I did not want to make a big deal out of this, so I ate it. Won't be back.
Very cute looking restaurant & the food was good. We didn't order a pizza, however, someone else did & It looked very nice. I look forward to going back to Bettola one day soon.
