Bestia may be one of, if not the best restaurant in LA. They just understood food. And they really understand the full culinary experience. Everything about Bestia is perfect. Book whatever ressie is available, and follow your heart when you order, and you can’t go wrong. Peace and love.
Service was a little slower than expected but it was busy. This placed slowed down with popularity, used to be 3 months wait when first open- now it’s about 7 days for prime time.
They are more accommodating now with food menu alterations; like extra Parmesan cheese to salad or medium well with rib bye steak. Before the chiefs and waiters were pretty smug about alterations.
Value has decreased over the years, only one bone marrow now with order. Decreased portions without changes in price- but times are tough.
Want I never liked was the forced 4% tax for health care and the option to remove it. It’s kinda like extortion, who would ask to remove it?
Tip: plenty to street parking on side streets off 7th. Don’t need to pay $9 plus tip for valet parking. They messed my rims with curb rash before.
Best service in a hip LA restaurant
Incredible food and service! A must visit when in LA
The food quality and presentation was good but not exceptional. The reservation system is alright. Valet system is not good. Overall ambiance is ok.
Too noisy. 4 menue items were out by 10pm while the restaurant is completley full. Not worth the mony.
Impossibly good food in a very lively and hip atmosphere. We always look forward to going even though it’s hard to justify the cost. I guess that’s why we wait 6 months between visits- it gives us time to forget the sting of $260 for a dinner for two!
It's pretty good, but it's VERY rich. Got the gnocchi and my boyfriend got the lamb, both were good but I was sick for the rest of the evening.
A must dine! Every aspect was amazing!
I would not recommend Bestia is over Rated we had to wait 3 mo. then we waited 30 min then they seated us in a small table in a hallway . the staff kept passing by hitting our chair and the club music was so loud. I couldn't have a conversation with my husband and he was sitting across from me. The food was not worth going thru all this . then we got the bill and the said we had to pay 4% on top of our bill.
we left to go get our car from valet payed $9.00 and the valet guys locked our keys inside the car they said it was accidentally . so No we would NOT go back.
We had a late reservation and were sat right away and was able to sit in front of the kitchen, which I really enjoy. Ordered the gizzards, bone marrow, salumi, cavatelli, and crab crostini. The crab crostini was very unique and delicious. Overall everything was really good; the cavetelli wasn’t as unique as the other dishes but still tasty, would probably get something different next time. Great selection of Amaro!!
AMAZING! EVERYTHING is sooo good. I love how they are always changing up a few items on the menu so you don't get tired of things. Best pork chop ever!
Service left a lot to be desired. Shift change ten minutes before we were to pay our bill.
Service was good. Nice ambience. Great food. A little on the pricey side but an overall nice experience.
Amazing flavors and great service! Definitely recommend making reservations. Its a hidden gem!
The food was good, but one of the cooks had dirty nails and was not wearing gloves
Very loud- blaring music and everyone trying to shout over it. Interesting menu meant to be shared and no denying food was delicious, but very overpriced - $32 for a half cup of pasta??? Wait staff very friendly and helpful for the most part-one waiter pushed a wine $20 out of the price range we had just suggested and then gave me a disgusted look when I said I needed to think about it. Worth the scramble & wait for a reservation - I'd say no.
As always, a great experience!
Everything was amazing. Went for my 30th birthday with 7 friends and family. Tried almost everything and nothing was a disappointment. Waitress and service were amazing
Grilled Branzino and dry aged steak is a must. Bine marrow is delicious too
Our server Melanie made our dinner such a pleasant experience. She would drop by to give us tips on how to eat our dishes so it’ll taste at its best. The food spoke for itself on the quality and taste but Melanie made our 4 year anniversary that much better! If you see this, you rock!
As for dishes, the winner of the night was the Roasted Marrow Bone.
Padrísima con el amor de mi vida!!
My best friend and I had a wonderful time dining at Bestia. We made our reservations two months in advance, and it was well worth the wait! Of course, the food was amazing however I found that the defining points in the night were served up by such an amazing crew and staff. From our drinks made by Austin, to our lovely server Mel, to being bid goodbye by Noel... every individual working at Bestia solidified our decision regarding coming back. Thank you again and see you soon!
We loved all of the food. Gwen provided excellent service!
Drinks are a tad expensive and the dining room is way too loud we were barely able to speak at times.
From the bartenders to the wait staff everybody was knowledgeable and friendly. That alone makes Bestia exceptional. Oh yeah, the food was fantastic too.
We ordered pâté, gnocchi, bone marrow and lamb neck. All were tasty without trying too hard. Highly recommend the restaurant and everything we ordered.
Loud music but great food and service
I absolutely LOVE Bestia. It is one of the best meals in LA and I recommend everyone to go there. I love it every single time.
We loved everything we tried! Each dish was a conversation starter and the server was an excellent guide through our choices.
I’ve been wanting to go to Bestia for awhile now, while the food was good unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype for me. Definitely wasn’t wow’d but overall it’s really good food. Worth trying
Lovely experience as usual and great way to celebrate my birthday.
One of our top 3 places in LA, whenever we are in town, we make sure we visit Bestia. Fantastic food.
One of my favorite restaurants by far. You must have the chicken liver pâtée. It’s always amazing.
Highlight was the Pate and the beef tartare on a crostini! Drinks were delicious ( I recommend getting the negroni) and the service was very friendly and quick! I would love to come back again!
Been here several times and the experience is always out of this world
Our server Christine Olive was the best!!! Give the guy a much needed raise!!!
Our family loves this place. Worth the hour and a half drive it takes us to get here. Probably our favorite place to eat.
It's a really cool spot, hype vibe/music/setting, service is super friendly on the starting block, the food was good (and in european portion size) but not up to the very high pricing... On the down side, the music was much too loud, and I did feel the pressure of eating fast to let our spot to people in the line... Maybe it's a good spot for a first date - loud, bustling, gustatory pleasing, quick!
Best cocktail I have ever had in my life. It’s called “In them jeans” I am still dreaming about it. The chestnut mushroom ravioli was also one of the best things I’ve ever had. The pizza was super good, it’s more of a chewy doughy kind with lots of flavor. They do not accommodate any of their dishes to suit dietary needs. I only eat fish and not meat and they wouldn’t make any of the pasta dishes without meat. We had the squid ink Ceaser salad that was super tasty and not white gross and creamy. Was very light and garlicky. The only bummer is that it’s pricey and the
portions are not that big. But I will definitely be back next time I can get a reservation!
This is the fourth time we have come to eat here and try and order the lamb neck and like usual it’s always out of stock. We have tried coming at different times each time trying to see if we could order it and every time it is not available. Then to add insult to injury half of the anti-pastas were unavailable and all of the pizzas were unavailable. The waitress said they ran out of pizza dough. Like really who is ordering your food for you that you always run out of everything. For how long they have been open and how much they charge you would think they would have figured out how to support the menu they supposedly have available. Just so disappointing paying so much for food you don’t want because they can’t figure out how to order enough of the food they have on their menu.
Small portions for a price but great food
