What Insiders Are Saying
For Italian in Los Angeles, it doesn't get any better than the Arts District's Bestia, This isn't dinner, it's an experience.
We sat right by where they prepared salads. It was fun watching them preparing food. Overall, food was great. It could be a bit noisy.
It's like a tapas place, you order a lot of little plates for your fulfilling meal. It was delicious and we didn't hold back, if we wanted it, we ordered it. And it was so worth it!
Date with my hubby. Bestia never disappoints! The food was over the top delicious this time. Service is always great. Love that they remember us.
This was my second visit and it was as great as my first. Food and drinks were both amazing.
In a nutshell—AMAZING. Already made my next reservation for January.
Excellent service. Server was knowledgeable about menu and was very attentive. Food was fantastic and came out fast.
What can I say... great ambiance, staff, and food!
Bestia is the best, most consistent restaurant in Los Angeles - and I’m not sure it’s close. Dish after dish raises the game.
The LA dining scene has been raised to another level - and Bestia is leading the way.
Amazing food. Got there an hour earlier since we all left right after work. We were starving so we agreed to sit at the bar to be seated sooner. It was freezing right next to the door but what can you do. The bartender/waiter that helped was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Will definitely come back again and maybe this time we can sit in the actually dinning area.
The noise level was way too loud. The food great. I’ll ask for outside table from now on to avoid such a noisy dinner.
We ate outside by choice on a cooler night.Blankets and heaters were great. Our waiter patiently explained multiple dishes to us and answered our questions. We enjoyed all of our dishes..calamari,radicchio salad, tagliatelle with pork sausage and oxtail agnolotti. Chocolate budino was amazing.
Food was great. Service was a bit slow and the restaurant was extremely busy up until it closed. Tables seemed to be crammed very close to each other and could’ve used more space in-between.
Took my gf out to dinner here, her first time but I’ve been here several times before. She was skeptical at first... where’s the sign? We’re sitting at the bar??? Once we settled in all of the questions faded away. Loved the place. Say right in front of food prep, salads, pâté and meat plate. The attention for detail on each dish was exquisite to watch. She had the oxtail and I ordered the bone marrow and pizza shared our meal finished it off with doughnuts and coffee. 5 Stars. Again!
Everything was delicious but the mussels and bone marrow were excellent
Always incredible in all aspects.
Superb as always. A true enduring legacy that keeps Los Angeles gastronomy on the map.
Amazing food and service
Great industrial location. Cocktails were excellent. We shared 2 of each course. Pizzas and pastas were all great. Desserts were delicious.
I love the food at Bestia! Solid service, loved that the somm just came up to us to ask if we needed help. The table we were put at should not have been a table for customers though. It was in the corner of the outer area facing the parking lot and it was right next to to the ledge where plates, napkins, utensils, menus and bottled tap water so was constantly having service staff reach over and behind me for these items to service the other tables near us. It’s a lesser experience than everyone else around me and I’m paying the same exact prices.
One of my fav dining spots in LA! Every time I’m in town, I’ll def make a trip here!
A M A Z I N G experience.
food is off the charts,...here’s what we ordered....
We tried the bone marrow with spinach....delicious.
The lamb neck is to die for
Desert....didn’t stay behind. Apple cider donuts with maple ice cream and good cup of coffee.
We are set to come back!
Great service but the food definitely was underwhelming. Was expecting way better with the hype this place gets. The spaghetti we could not even finish it tasted like a whole lime and sea water.
Amazing food and service!! Great music but it was loud...so just be prepared! Don’t miss the bone marrow pasta!
Birthday dinner date. It was good! Best was bone marrow and the dessert. Least favorite was lamb neck, but still very delicious! Small portions but amazing quality and great for sharing. Amazing staff!!!!!!!!
It was Nice but we miss old menu like pork chop with potatoes
It was my birthday and yet no reference was made even though I mentioned it on my open table reservation. The food was mediocre, especially for the price. I would definitely not get my pasta dish again. The marrow bone was the only thing I would recommend. The wait staff seemed bored and not fussed about their job at all. Really a waste and a let down for my 30th birthday.
amazing!! food was delicious, the ambiance was amazing.
Bestia is excellent all around. The atmosphere is quite loud and energetic in the main room but also romantic in the patio! I was a little hesitant about counter seating but I loved being up-close to the action! The employees are great and the food is outstanding! Although the price is higher for the average person, for any foodie or anyone who enjoys splurging on quality food and presentation, this is the place to go! Wonderful dining experience! I can’t wait to go back!
I love this place! The food was amazing!
What was to be a fun dining experience turned into a disaster from the get go. There were about 20 people waiting for the restaurant to open its doors, opening 15 minutes late is arrogant. The service was chaotic, rushed the kitchen staff were loud the food was okay not great & expensive. Our server told us that the pasta is "extra al dente" !?! We had never heard of that, doesn't that mean it's uncooked ? There was no finesse to the service but rush harried & awkward. The owners are militant dictators about their food where the customer is wrong. If you prefer communist dictatorships where the portions are skimpy & overpriced then this is the place for you !
This was our first time at Bestia and we had a great time. Even though there was a line we were sat promptly. The ambiance is fun, very energetic. We ordered the mussels and clams, lamb neck, guanciale pizza and the cavatelli alla norcina. Everything was delicious! My favorite dish was the mussels and clams, the flavors were amazing! We were celebrating our anniversary and the waiter brought us a nice little dessert. It was a nice touch. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely return.
A real gem and a forever favorite
Food took a while to get to our table. Our table placement could have been better, we were seated right in front of the kitchen/where food was being picked up.
Perfect execution of dishes, as always!
Excellent service. We never felt rushed to finish our meal, the waitress gave us plenty of time between dishes. But the food is the best, you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Great experience. Thank you.
