Our progressive American cuisine coupled with our unrivaled service will leave you wanting more.
Rather you're looking for lunch, happy hour or dinner, BESA is where you'll want to be.
The service is second to none. They were outstanding. I liked the food a lot but there were a couple of dishes that didn’t do it for me. Stand outs: Brussels sprouts, asparagus. Not as great: dessert and the scallops were ok but not earth shattering. Restaurant and lounge are super cool.
The food was delicious, everything we ate was very good and beautifully plated. It is a bit on the pricey side and dinner did take a long time., almost 2 hours. We went before the theater which we told them, service was a tad slow getting dessert and the check. But, we made it to the show with just a few minutes to spare.
Dinner and service was great! Thank you very much!
Wonderful service especially with the selection on wines, they have a large digital list but we were able to speak with the sommelier who selected a stellar Italian white to pair with some oysters. All in all a lovely and fun places that I certainly am looking forward to going back too!
Fabulous meal and service. First class. A bit pricey but worth it. Highly recommend.
BESA is the most outstanding restaurant I’ve ever been to in the city. The waitstaff are attentive and knowledgeable. The owners are rounding frequently. The food is amazing. Great specialty cocktails.
Food was unique
Service was great
Servers one and only job was to upsell. Not bring you food or fill your drinks. Just upsell. Food came out cold. Definitely can tell the steak was sitting there for a while. It was COLD. The Beet salad smells like fish but the brussel sprout app was really good. After $100+ meal we went out to eat real food.
Excellent service and a delicious meal! Everything was perfect!
I went to Besa to have lunch. Decor is exceptional and noise level is very quiet. Portions were large and the cuisine was excellent. I have already recommended Besa to a number of people. Service was impeccable.
Food was amazing. Server was excellent. My only complaint was a smell of exhaust fumes from the many trucks surrounding the building.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we were both absolutely thrilled with our dining experience. Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service, and exquisite food - some of the best we have both had. The folks at BESA certainly knew how to make two native Detroiters feel lux and right at home. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who’d like a unique, elegant, and delectable dining experience.
The best service I have had in Detroit by far
James our server was really knowledgeable on the dishes and really nice attitude.
We always use Detroit Restaurant Week as a way of trying new restaurants that we'll patronize in the future if the experience is good. BESA is *definitely* one of those restaurants! We've passed there many times and the beauty of the restaurant through the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows certainly was enticing. BESA is an upscale establishment, but not stuffy at all. The food was excellent (the chicken was a *little* dry around the edges, but the rest of it was juicy and flavorful) and the service was A-MAZING. Initially the ambient music was a little loud, but it must have been noticed because it was turned down about half-way during our stay. BESA is a welcome addition to the many new restaurants in our city! Highly recommended.
Service is over the top!!!!
Dinner with a co-worker from Brazil, first time in Detroit. Excellent experience! Perfect view...food and service great! Owner very accommodating - gave us tour and history.
Enjoy the service and atmosphere. Went during restaurant week and had a lovely time. Didn't like the pepper macarons at all. The flavor combination did not work well for anyone at the table. Brussel sprouts were very good!
Ray our waitress was as phenomenal! Can’t wait to go back.
Much attention to detail is evident from the interior decor, table layout, mix of tables and booths, as well as service and the menu. Dishes are creative with new twists on some favorites (don’t skip the brussel sprouts!), inventive ways to add to dishes (tapioca crackle on top of crispy dug leg salad, amazing!), and a service team intent on making your visit a true dining experience. Leave room for dessert - and try the orange crush!
Wonderful service, excellent cuisine, beautiful atmosphere! We will definitely be back soon!
Loved the ambiance. White tables but not stuffy. Ordered something different to try something new but didn't like it. Was prepared correctly and everything, just didn't like the flavor. Waitress insisted that she take it back and let me order something else. That's top notch service!
Delicious meal! Went with another couple and shared all plates so we tried 7 or 8 different flavors. Creative kitchen. Service very good.
Sprouts were fantastic with just enough kick.
Will return to try other dishes!
Fantastic service and delicious food! This is a must go!
Highly recommend, it was truly outstanding! The entire meal was excellent as well as the service and atmosphere!
Reservation made 30 days in advance and we were still put in the basement. We probably should have asked to be moved, but didn't. Our dinners were served about 5 minutes apart from each other. This was our second time there. First time was much better. Probably won't go back. Too many other new options to try. Main floor has a spectacular view.
This is a must try in Detroit. Had quite an enjoyable dining experience, with amazing reccomendations from our waitress. Quite possibly the best brussel sprouts we’ve ever had! Great cocktail and wine options, and their craft cocktails did not disappoint. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Amazing plating. You do not always receive what you think you ordered in a good way. Very imaginative. Tastebuds experience.
Outstanding food and service. Chef Kyle Schutte and his staff really do an impeccable job. I highly recommend it!
The service was top notch, the presentation of the food was beautiful, and the evening was just the night out we needed. Highly recommend
We were celebrating a birthday and our waiter did not bring out any dessert. I was surprised that we didn’t get dessert especially since the reservations were specific to a bday.
Overall, the service and food was good. I would recommend this restaurant.
Nothing disappointed. Everything was amazing. Joseph our server was more than happy to help with his recommendations/suggestions. It was out first time trying wagyu & we loved it. Would definitely come back. Thank you BESA!
Ali is the best. He was super attentive and was V friendly. Don’t skip out on dining here.
The space is gorgeous. The food was amazing. The service was incredible. I can’t wait to go baby!!
Food was excellent but waiter didn’t space the dishes - brought 3 of the 5 dishes at the same time.
Had Ron as our waiter! Very knowledgeable and made the dinning Experience that much better. Food was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back.
First time, won't be last. Loved the decor, geat location.
The food was terrific and the service was as well!
the atmosphere and drinks were great, although i was very disappointed when it came down to the food. Presentation was very nice but when we placed our order (party of 4) my husband and his friend ordered two steaks( $28 ea.) after the waiter took our order of oysters and a few appetizers he came back out to notify the fellas that they had ran out of that steak they had requested originally so they went forward with the alternative options and ordered the Yugo steak instead ($60). The stakes were way under-cooked and not worth the almost triple the price, my friend ordered the Service and was not pleased with it also..the oysters were good but i have def had better, i hate to admit that dinner was roughly 450 dollars for 4 pple and being that we have all been waiters/waitresses in the past we dint want to cause a scene or send back the food.. so my husband and his friend simply dint eat more then a few bites just called it a night. We heard good rivews form our other friends who had visited Besa prior to us and being that we are Albanian were always cheering for one of our own to be successful...it could have been an off night for the place and i hope that was exactly the case but it would have to take some begging for me to return there for dinner...dirty martinis were great tho. i think every place is worth a try and that every chef has a gift so take my review as you please but still try things for your self always
