Bertucci's - North Andover

We had a reservation through open table but evidently the hostess doesn’t actually reserve a table for you. She seemed to be clueless. It was more like first come first served. The chicken piccata was very watery and had no flavor. The sausage soup had no sausage in it. The waiter was not attentive.

The hostess did not have our table ready, we had to wait for it to be cleared. The whole experience was not good. We waited over 45 minutes for food once our order was placed & our waitress basically disappeared. We didn’t have silverware (had to ask) food was delivered at different times so food got cold. Food was over cooked & really was not good. Not the Bertucci’s experience we have previously had. Would never return to this location.
We are so sorry to hear you had such and unsatisfactory experience. Our service should have been much better than what you received. Please know that we will address this with our team and will do our best to make this an isolated experience. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback!
Salad was supposed to be romaine lettuce but was iceberg. No utensils at our table - had to get my own. No plate for me to put pizza slices on, bad experience
We are sorry to hear you had an unsatisfactory experience and value your feedback. We will be sure to share this experience with our staff in an effort to improve future guest experiences.
We go here often after sports practice and like the consistency. For some reason, things were off for this visit. It was quiet and no wait. The server was good, but didn’t check on us after we got our meals. We ordered chicken piccata, pasta with meatballs, macaroni and cheese, & small pizza. The pizza was excellent, but the pasta dishes were disappointing. The pasta for all three dishes were over cooked. The sauce on the chicken piccata reminded me of a butter spread, because it congealed. I am not sure I would ordered it again.

I have learned that the weekends especially are a very bad time to go to Bertucci's, North Andover. The number of cooks and servers are way below the number of people who have come to eat. For example, I was with two friends. The two friends received their food about 45 minutes after placing their orders. I ordered a small La salata lobster pizza. It took over an hour before I received it and, although it had plenty of lobster meat, it was sitting on a cheese covered crust without the rest of the topping. Thankfully, the manager took the pizza off the bill.
I have always loved Bertuccis.. We had recently made a reservation for Easter.. My only complaint was we were seated right next to another couple who were very loud with there discussions . The restaraunt was fairly empty.. While i understand they probably seated us that way to make it easier for the waitress, it just made discussions a bit uncomfortable. The waitress was very nice and food good i just wished we had better seating from the hostess.
Cleanliness is a problem. Hostess was not very friendly and service was sub standard.
We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated despite having a 6:45 pm reservation on open table. The hostess was grumpy and controlling to not only patrons but to other staff members. We could see several available tables and inquired if we could be seated multiple times, the hostess was insistent that these tables were for "other reservations," and that we would have to wait. After 45 minutes, we took matters into our own hands, and merely just walked over to an available table and seated ourselves. A table that had been open for 30+ minutes (6 top near the bar area but we had four people in our party). The hostess had no understanding of how to properly manage the reservation system or the available tables at the restaurant. Once we seated ourselves, we were greeted by a nice waitress, and she served us without issue for the rest of the evening. The dinner, food, and rolls were tasty, and the service was quick.
We made a reservation but still needed to wait an additional 30 mins. The food took a long time to come and all we got were 4 small pizzas. Otherwise, it was good.
The service was exceptionally slow; it took an hour for our lunch orders to be served on a day when the restaurant was half-empty.
When the food arrived, the order was incorrect. We had not ordered the large margherita pizza, but that's what we received rather than the spinach & shrimp salad.
Our wine order was messed up, too, after it took an unacceptably long time for it to arrive at our table.
Finally, when our bill was presented, we were charged for the pizza, not the salad (which we corrected).
We won't be going back.
Food was good. The sever was courteous and provided good service.
Food was great... I enjoy eating at Bertucci’s ... I enjoy a variety of entrees and I love the pizza
I got the sausage and pepper pasta dish and every single piece of sausage was hard as hockey pucks and tasted like charcoal. I was not happy at all with that dish.
We had a lovely meal and the food was very good.
As always, very happy with Bertuccis in North Andover. Dine there often as it’s local to us. Never had any problems until our visit Sunday evening. Worst service we’ve ever had at Bertuccis and probably anywhere. We never saw our waitress unless she was bringing food to our table, or taking our order. When we did see her and ask for things that hadn’t been delivered to the table she disappeared for 10 minutes. She handed the plates to each person and waited for them to take the plates from her, which is a big pet peeve of mine. She never asked if we need refills on drinks and we had a birthday to celebrate and the birthday person‘s dessert took 20 minutes to come out. I’m hoping that she’s new and still in the process of training. If she’s not,Bertuccis she needs to go! Other than the poor service our visit was great as always!
Server was very good. Took a little long to get food.
Very slow service considering the place was about 85% full. Waiter wasn’t around much and had to ask for refills, boxes, check, etc.
Poor service, had to wait for drinks and food. Food was poor quality
We enjoy going to Bert's from time to time for a change of pace; the food is predictably good, and the North Andover location is pleasant and convenient.
There were 7 of us old fiends for 25 years. Space was perfect waitress was patient ,attentive when required and overall very accomadating
Loved the salad and we ordered large pizza and a flatbread entree
One guest was concerned we did not have a big enough order for the waitress but we made sure she was taken care of
A good time 3 guests had travelled up from Chatham on the Cape
3 hours to get home leaving andover at 2:30
Stopped in for a quick bite before get together. Atmosphere was cherry and quiet and perfect for quiet conversation . Food and drinks were served quickly and was very good. Bread on table
Server was nice, but overall service was spotty. We bused our own tables, had to track someone down for plates - and couldn’t reach our pizzas which were positioned behind us. Very odd. Food was good though
Noisy, none too clean, spotty service but good for casual family visit.
Didn’t have a good meal at Bertucci’s North Andover. Our waitress didn’t listen to what we ordered so two meals arrived incorrect. The host didn’t know where to put people. And the meal really wasn’t any good. Will not be returning. It’s too bad, the restaurant was very nice inside.
Service was a little slow and food arrived less than hot. Long wait for drink orders to arrive.
Service was a bit slow. We had to ask for everything rather than be offered it.
The hostess needs some help in customer service. She seemed overwhelmed and never cracked a smile.
The server was friendly and great with our kids. He forgot our waters, but was on top of everything else.
The food we order was okay. The pizzas came out perfect, as always. My friend's mom ordered lobster ravioli and she ordered chicken piccata, both were very dry. I think the chef forgot to put sauce on both. The dishes were very disappointing!!!
I am not sure why they are on Open Table. I made a reservation for 7:30, but when we arrived 5 minutes early the hostess said they had a bunch of people come in and we would have a 20 minute wait even though they didn't make reservations. They just walked in before us.
