Berts Jazz Bar encapsulates the sleek elegance of the art deco era, complimented by the very best in live jazz, fabulous cocktails and mouth-watering food.

Transport yourself back to the Art Deco glamour of 1930’s New York and the Jazz Age in Belfast’s only dedicated Jazz bar and restaurant: Berts Bar at The Merchant Hotel. Soak up the sophisticated atmosphere and let the cool jazz melodies wash over you. A handpicked list of cocktails completes the extensive drinks selection. A French bistro style menu is complemented by an extensive wine list and, of course, exemplary service. Berts offers live jazz seven nights a week.

All table reservations are for dining purposes only, unfortunately we do not take drinks only bookings.

Please Note Live Jazz Performances for Friday & Saturday evenings are from 9pm-12pm

The setting, atmosphere and music are a must visit in Belfast ! Initially on arrival was not too busy so staff was attentive however once it got busy I felt the service really tapered off and could have been a bit more attentive, like had to ask to have our wine topped up etc. The sharing camembert was amazing but the main was very average. Mussels were extremely small although portion was very big. Felt the food was expensive for what it was. The sticky toffee baked Alaska was fab ! The music though really is amazing and would say if in the area stop for a drink and dessert !

Great evening out for my birthday. The music was very good and the food was yummy. Would definitely go again when I’m in Belfast.

Loved everything about Berts ! Loved the ambiance , service , food , the setting and just the most fantastic and memorable night that we will remember for a very long time . Easy listening music , the musicians were incredible , not too loud and very easy listening . Service was great ! Loved our special evening .

Amazing night at Bert’s Jazz bar. The service and music was 10/10. We both ordered the linguine which had no problems. Will be sure to visit again when in Belfast next!!

Another great evening spent here for our Anniversary. The food was amazing as always, the service was outstanding and the music finished the night off perfectly. Would highly recommend Berts Jazz Bar for that extra special night out.
