This restaurant is permanently closed. Restaurateur and celebrated chef John Berryhill presents his energetic and Slightly Southern Dining in the heart of downtown Boise. The menu is an infusion of southern style that flows from Bacon Hush Puppy Croquetas, and Grilled Cheese Dipper through to Bacon Wrapped Kurobuta Etouffee, Pan Roasted Catfish & Grits, SRF's American Wagyu Filet of Ribeye, and a scrumptious list of pies, cakes, cobblers and puddings.
Dine on historic family wood tables or on the beautiful patio with Outdoor Lounge. The full bar inside includes a Leather Lounge and fireplace. The wine list boasts 28 by the glass selections, several local Snake River Valley wines, and a wonderful variety of Champagnes and Sparklings.

Berryhill's has been a personal favorite of mine for a long time. I'm never disappointed. The food is great.

This was my first time here and as we walked in, I was surprised. It was a Saturday at 7:00pm and the restaurant was empty. What brought us here was the Bacon/Sirloin Burger and so we ordered them and some drinks. Our group got martinis and bloody marys and it was unanimous, they were good but not great. For the price, there are better to be had just a few blocks away. The food, like the drinks was good but not great. Everything was bacon based and very rich. My burger was tasty but the major flavor I got was the cheese... The bacon felt like a side note when it was supposed to be the star. I will try to come back for brunch but I will wait a bit.

I ordered the froed chicken. The food was bland. Really lacked seasoning. The server was actually quite rude. I won't be returning. The only good thing was the bacon cheese dip.

Berryhill's food is very good and creative but though service is very good, it's SLOW. No dining should take this long. Speed of service is why I quit having lunch here and why I'm reluctant to have dinner here if I have movie plans after.

We were nearly the only diners at 6:30 on a night when all the other restaurants in town were packed. Made us worry. The waiter seemed distracted. The food was excellent, however, and the chef made an appearance at our table to say thanks which was appreciated. The space is beautiful and the ambiance would be top if there were more people to fill out the tables.

We started with Berryhill's meatball appetizer and they were great. I ordered the scallops with "ear" pasta in cilantro sauce and it was fabulous! Everyone ordered something different and we all immensely enjoyed our dinners.....and desert (creme brûlée, and peach pie)!

Hostess was not very professional (chewing gum while talking) and not very friendly. Server didn't know special and slow to serve water. Server grabbed drink by the rim and didn't use a napkin to bring a straw. I had the Three Herb chicken and was very greasy and looked thrown together. Used to be good but not planning on going back.
