Bernies is such a great place to dine. The menu offers nice choices with the prime rib and the the seafoods my favorites. The best martinis in the area poured right at your table. A very nice well trained staff.
Nice desserts too.
Great menu and excellent food at very fair prices. Generous cocktail puts too! A regular choice offer us
Charming server, overcooked salmon, vinaigrette dressing so vinegary it couldn’t be eaten, nondescript side dish, delicious ice cream
I loved the music, food and vibe of this place. I will be back.
The rack of lamb was amazing. Caesar salad presentation was unexpected and tasty. Jason was a terrific waiter. Great evening.
We loved the environment - great ambience with the right amount of light to read the menu and background music from the lounge. But it's the food and the service (with a capital S) that guarantees our return.
Sunday nights entertainment singer was outstanding. I apologize for not remembering her name. Her range was fabulous as was her selection of songs. She’s GREAT. Usually here on Sunday but has a performance tonight (Wed). We will be there for the music, dancing and wine!
Ernesto and team were awesome! We had a fabulous evening.
Loud karaoke piped into intimate dining area. Not a nice evening compared to other visits. Multiple complaints from dining section and patrons. Nothing improved throughout meal.
The lounge is campy and fun but the restaurant is outdated. It’s like walking into the 90’s. The food is boring and tasteless. They cover up their food with sugary sauces and buttery veggies. Go for a drink in the bar if you want to have a good laugh and let your hair down. Skip the restaurant .... Time for a major makeover!
First visit. We got seated and handed drink Menus and waited 18 mins when I saw the host seat another guests and ask her where our waiter is. She went looking for someone. A young lady came and introduced herself and took our drink order and left. Waited another 10 mins. I asked the busboy for water and the menu and he brought them. Another 5 mins and another waiter a man comes by and ask us what we like for drinks. We told him we ordered a Manhattan and a vodka martini already. He went and came back 5 mins later with the drinks. The wrong vodka was used on one drink. My guest who ordered it told him to cancel the order and take the drink away. We ordered our food I ordered the short ribs and he ordered the rib eye steak. Mine came dry and root veggies were burnt. My guest steak was smothered with gravy. And very fatty. They called it a tomohok Rib eye Not so. And charged $45. The bus boy was serving bread to every table and passed by us without offering. I had to flag him down to get bread. I was the saddest evening I have even spent at a restaurant. Bad service and bad food. We arrived for a 530pm reservation. I shutter to think how it is later.
My lemon drop martini was the best I’ve had in many months!
The scallops were outstanding and the service was wonderful!
Our lovely waitress from N Dakota was so caring and warm in her approach! I’ll be back!
My sea bass was overcooked and very dry. My husband’s meatloaf was just ok. Service was fantastic.
It was a great experience. Next time we’re going to hit the bar area.
Most of our group of four enjoyed our dinners. My recommendation is to stick with the more traditional dishes on the menu. Service was very good.
The food was good but the portion size especially for the lobster bisque was not worth $12. The large
bowl had probably less than 4 oz.
It was our first time dining here and everything was great! The service and food were wonderful. We will definitely go back.
I was not impressed . I ordered one glass of wine, because my fiance does not drink.
About 15 minutes later or so a couple arrived and was sat next to us. Whithin their 10 minutes of them sitting, they were acknowledged by maybe a cook a dishwasher and another gentleman in a black suit, and we're giving two glasses of champagne. Now it's been about 20 minutes into my drink, I had to say something to one of the waiters and ask him about my glass of wine. When it was brought back, no apologies for the wait. Our food was ordered with our drinks. My fiance had the strawberry salad, I ordered the filet mignon with the lobster tail. The next surprised we got was when the couple that came in 15 minutes after we did were being served their food, before us.. (Wow) ..
When my food did arrive my carrots and asparagus we're fresh. My mashed potatoes there were a little cold too. For the high price we paid, I was not impressed with the cold food service.
I did not say anything but did mention it to the waitress the carrots and asparagus were a little cold which I know it was not her fault but we paid our bill and left.
But definitely me and my finance said that same night we will not be coming back.. Our very first time there, and a special occasion day, Valentine's day, not so perfect. I guess that's what happens for trying something new..
Ordered cocktails for 2 people. Waited and waited. Our 1st course came to us, still no drinks. Finally the waiter arrived. My drink was Belevedere lemon drop with chambord, husbands was Grey goose martin straight up with blue cheese olives. Somehow I got Vodka and Chambord and husband got A lemondrop with Blue cheese olives. Yuk!
Took awhile to get waiters attention. Poor table to our left waited 20 minutes to give the bill with credit card to waiter and other couple were served there soups with no spoons. We all just waited and waited.
Finally dinner was served and lobster tail came with filet. I asked 2 people for drawn butter. One guy brought me butter from the bread! By the time we flagged the waiter down for butter my lobster was cold. We just ordered our desserts to go. My husbands prime rib was excellent and my filet was perfectly cooked. It was just apparent the waiter wasnt attentive to our tables. The people who were waiting to settle the bill were told Happy Thanksgiving!! It was Valentines Day!!
Jason was the kind of waiter we needed for our romantic dinner.
A very comfortable, intimate dinner with my wife on Valentine's Day. We had a short wait for our cocktails but then the service was immediate and the food was hot and delicious. The prime rib at Bernie's is always good but the dish that stood out the most to me that night was the appy of dates in bacon on a hint of orange cream cheese and a balsamic/honey reduction. It was outstanding! Everything else was very good. All around, for atmosphere, quality and price, I don't think Bernie's can be beat.
My and my daughter loved it here. The food was amazing and the restaurant was so nice. We will go back.
Great service and very good food. Ambiance added to our experience.
Food was cold on arrival and steak undercooked
Bernie’s has always on its menu roast beef, a favorite of mine. On the three occasions I’ve dined there, the meat has been of excellent quality and cooked just as I specified. Beyond that, the restaurant has a muted, club-like feel, and the service is wonderfully attentive.
The only thing that marred an otherwise outstanding experience was that my wife's prime rib was seriouslyover cooked. Our excellent server (Christine) replaced it immediately with a perfectly prepared piece of beef. Our friends had never dined at Bernie's before and were very pleased with their experience.
Best salmon I’ve ever had. I’ll be back! The waitress was very kind and helpful. Drove from Redlands just to have dinner at Bernies.
Pretty bad for the dinning room. Did not go to the bar, which looked to be a bit better. The crowed was mostly 65+. Food in the dining room was not great. Had the short rib the the fixed prix menu at the waiters recommended. Short rib was untrimmed and vegetables were raw sitting in a flavorless liquid. Service was slow and inattentive.
If you want “ Faulty Towers “ in the desert , go to Bernies . Had to laugh otherwise would have cried.
Everything was beyond perfect. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff made it an incredible evening, and three cheers to the Chef as I had the best prime rib I have ever had. After dinner we stepped into the lounge and continued our wonderful evening with martinis and live music. We will be back soon, thank you Bernie’s
We got a private room for our party of 8 which was excellent since we had 2 small children. Excellent service and food. Excellent evening!!!!
Our disappointment was: we had allowed 1hr 45minutes to eat and we immediately gave our time restraints to the waiter, we had to leave before our preordered dessert arrived to make our deadline. The bill certainly came on time, and I was definitely left with a bad impression in my mind
One great place. Service top notch - and the food was awesome!!!
The entire staff was incredible and the food was so delicious. But I must whole heartedly apologize for the for what happened. My date, and I did not realize it at first, had too much to drink. This is not to put her in a bad light (no joke), but I truly thank the staff for helping her and myself. Everyone was very cordial and I at no time felt more badly than I already did. Sometimes even the best of us can be having a good time and not keep track of the drinking. The staff was simply professional and I appreciate that. On behalf of myself and my date, our sincerest apologies.
Always a great spot, whether it is in the lounge or the restaurant. Excellent and professional service, and a solid menu that does a great job, as well.
A fantastic dining experience from the moment we entered the door. Top notch service, delicious food, reasonable prices and the best drinks in the Desert
Our very first time to Bernies and we will be going again and again for sure. We absolutely loved the food, service and entertainment in the bar. One of the best Caesar salads around and the rest of the meal was delicious as well.
Nice place, great staff, food was good although inconsistent quality between two meals that are the same. Preset menu was a good value. Prime Rib delicious but expensive.
Great place for dinner, generous drinks and meals are tasty, well present and wait staff attentive, good value, quiet atomosphere.
First time here. At in the bar, I ordered from the bar menu my wife from the dinner menu. Bartender very knowledgeable with both menus. Food came out quickly and was very good. Will go here again
