The floor was so sticky that shoes made a noise with each step, not cleaned properly. Table sticky as well.
Great place to try! Will definitely go back!
Had a great meal! The prices were a little on the high side but damned if that burger and spicey green beans weren't some of the best I ever had!
Varied menu, some items value-priced, some not so much. Quality of food was excellent. Large and varied selection of beer on tap. Very accommodating with special orders; service was excellent. Parking not great, as the lot in the back is small. Overall a great time!
It was loud couldn’t even hear my beautiful girlfriend
Just had a overall disappointing experience here. We made a reservation and went for breakfast and had about a 20 minute wait to see our waitress. She was really nice and apologetic, and we ordered breakfast (pancakes and French toast) and waited 45 mins. Our waitress checked on us multiple times while we waited but never mentioned the wait once. When we got our food, our waitress didn’t bring it out, and then didn’t check on our table at all but was talking to other staff in the room. All three of our meals were missing toppings, and one of the meals was completely burnt and when asking the waitress who brought out the food a question about the missing toppings for our meals she told us to ask our waitress. Our waitress didn’t check on us so we asked to see a manager and he took the two meals off the bill and discounted the other, which was appreciated. The waitress came up to us after and was really nice and apologetic. For the wait and the quality of the service and our meals I wouldn’t recommend this place. All of us are very understanding and have worked as servers, but the restaurant was not busy, there were only 4 other tables, and if there was an issue we would’ve appreciated communication. We’ve been here a few times before this and had similar experiences but this by far was the worst one. I would like to come back here in hopes that it was just an off day, because it’s a really cute modern restaurant in town, but I’m not sure I’d be interested in going back.
Overall it was a very nice experience. The staff was very courteous and attentive. The food was decent, not fantastic. The restaurant is clean and has nice ambiance. I’d definitely go again.
Saw a mouse run across the bar floor. Never going to return. Management paying no attention to staff or customers.
The ambiance was fine. There were at least 5 items on the food menu they were “out of”. In addition I went through 3 different wines before they had one in stock. I ordered fish and chips and they were out of tartar sauce. When we left there was an employee outside is screaming and crying. Clearly management is an issue. Food was pretty good.
My only complaint is that I was still eating my soup when the entree’s were brought out.
Food was good, service was very good. Second time dining at Bernie's, would come back again and would recommend to friends.
We waited 30 mins for cocktails we ordered once seated; one of them came without half ingredients listed on menu. We waited nearly an hour for our food, had to beg for it after 45 mins. Not enough Wait staff and they were not well trained. Others there same night said half menu had run out. Very disappointing as the place looked promising
I’ve been to Bernie’s many times and have had a great experience EVERY time there. I will absolutely go back and don’t expect tonight to happen again but........they were out of half their food. They didn’t have CO2 so their sodas were all flat. Our server spent more time chatting in the kitchen than checking on us. My medium rare burger had no pink and was medium well to well. Maybe I was just annoyed by the whole experience tonight but again, I love it here and don’t expect this type of service or slim pickings on the food again.
There for Father’s Day. Ambiance is great. They were out of a lot of the meals which was disappointing. One of our meals wasn’t ready and didn’t come out for like 15 min. Menu online vs what was offered was a little different. Seems like they are trying to work out the kinks. Would try again in the future, but a little hesitant. The space is beautiful though. Could be great!
My brother, sister, and I just took our dad to your restaurant for father’s day and were incredible disappointed in the service. Our waitress was great and super friendly, but the food took so long to just get to us. My dad, sister, and I received our food but nothing came for my brother. He ordered mac&cheese which the waitress put in, but they never let her know that that wasn’t an option right now so he had no lunch. They gave him a dessert for free that then had paper in it, I’ll attach the photo. Almost every family around us who had gotten there after us, had their food plenty of time before we got ours. My sister had to ask for honey mustard multiple times and finally when it was brought to us, it wasn’t even honey mustard and she was almost finished her food. Bernie’s looks like a super nice restaurant, so I was excited to try the food but was just overall so disappointed. It felt silly even paying a bill when we felt like we weren’t even satisfied. Definitely disappointing. Bernie’s will unfortunately no longer be an option for our family.
We had a reservation on Father's Day and were seated immediately. However, we then waited 20 minutes to order drinks, waited another 20 for them to arrive, another 10 minutes wait to place our food order, and then the food finally arrived an hour later (no exaggeration). The food itself was good, but the seriously slow service was a problem. However, without asking they did give our table a steep discount on the bill for the slow service (seemed to do this with every table), and because of this we would maybe consider dining again to see if it was a one-off problem being short-staffed, inexperienced, etc. During such slow service though, it may be helpful to train your servers to try to compensate with a positive attitude and a little more attentiveness - just going the extra step to try to acknowledge the diner's wait and patience goes a long way.
My father, brother and I went to Bernie’s for father’s day brunch today and our food took one hour and fifteen minutes to arrive. Not sure what happened as we have had good experiences there in the past and it was not very crowded, but today was awful. We asked to see the manager and was told that she was too busy in the kitchen to come see us. The food was good once we got it, but we saw others so frustrated that they left before their food even got there. Our meal was free because of the wait, but we never saw the manager. The worst part is that they inexplicably kept seating new guests without warning them about the issues they were having. Not sure what hell they were thinking, but they obviously did not care about putting out their customers. It was a complete disaster and only one waitress (not our own, who was pretty poor herself) seemed to actually care. They cost themselves a lot of future customers today.
Came here for Fathers Day brunch, it took over an hour for our food to come out and when it finally did everything was cold. The place was empty with only 3-4 tables with people at them and none with food. Thank goodness for the pleasant server she took great care of us making sure our drinks were filled while checking with the kitchen every few minutes to see what was going on. I can easily say I will not be back.
Our experience at Bernie’s was excellent! We were accommodated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress Alexis was awesome, she continued to check on us and made us feel welcomed. She continue to refill our beverages an gave a great recommendation on our food! We we’ll definitely come again!
Our first time there, it was pretty good food, service slow but I wouldn’t let it hold us back from trying it again
Found out after we were se
Service was good. Chicken marsala was horrible the sauce tasted like heated up vanilla almond milk. Presentation was a slop. Seemed as though half the menu wasn’t available. Most likely won’t return.
Server was wonderful
Excellent late lunch with great service. We definitely be back!
This visit was mostly a bust. We decided to stop in again for dinner after having an absolutely phenomenal time on our first visit. This time the staff in general seemed very apathetic about the issues we encountered. First, the appetizer we ordered didn't come out until our entrees were served. When I spoke to the food runner about the issue, he mumbled something at us, and left the app and our entrees on the table in spite of our protests. When we mentioned the issue to our server, she said that the kitchen had messed up and not sent out the appetizer first. That still doesn't solve the problem however. I will admit, having an appetizer flubbed and sent out with the entrees is one of my "dining out" pet peeves, and it's only made worse when staff seemingly don't care and don't do anything to fix the situation. Why eat an app while our entrees are getting cold, or vice versa? I didn't start eating my entree right away because I was waiting for salad dressing to be brought by our server. Once she delivered that, I was looking at my crab cake entree, and the crab cakes looked a little soggy. I took the edge of my knife and peeked underneath to see if the other side was a little more crisp looking. Underneath the crab cake was the cilantro aioli that I had asked to be put on the side...so-they messed up the "sauce on the side" and rather than address the issue appropriately, decided to flip the crabcake over and hope I didn't notice, or, they sauce the bottom of their crab cakes (which is an unusual practice), and totally missed that I wanted the sauce on the side. I happen to skeeve cilantro, and just a little bit of its flavor will ruin a dish for me. It is a REALLY good thing that I wasn't allergic to it, because if a kitchen or the staff is going to pull shenanigans like that (trying to hide mistakes rather than acknowledge and fix them) it could have very serious consequences.
We have been to Bernie's several times and this last visit left us both hungry and in no rush to return.
Shrimp and pasta dish was extremely small in size and not filling, crab cakes were subpar as well.
Great meal and great space.
We’ve been here 3 or 4 times since it opened for breakfast or dinner. Every time they forget something or mess up the order. This time they got a drink order wrong (asked for Black Russians, got white), I asked for my burger well done, it was pink, and my brother asked for a grilled chicken Caesar salad, and they forgot the chicken. I sent my burger back, and I got my replacement over half an hour later, at which point I got it to go since everyone else was done eating. We asked for my brothers grilled chicken, that took about 15-20 minutes to come out. My moms pasta was warm, not hot. They did take my burger off the bill, but the waiter did not seem apologetic at all, and when my husband inquired as to what was taking so long for my replacement, the waiter seemed very annoyed. I would not come back here anytime soon. Their only saving grace is that they are the only ‘nice’ restaurant in this small town.
Delicious food.....kitchen needs help.....75 minutes and still no main course😕
Great food and nice outdoor space!
Shame they went to a buffet. It was overpriced.
Delicious food and amazing service! Dave was our server and he was wonderful with suggestions and advice on food selections, and continued to check on us throughout our meal.
A little pricey for what you get.
Desserts came in take out containers because they ran out of plates
This was our second visit to Bernie's, and first time for dinner. Everything was really really good. We started off with some teriyaki wings and their pub board (which was a great value by the way-easily enough for 4 to share). Our son devoured the wings, while the hubs and I tackled the pub board and our drinks. Our dinner was equally excellent. Our son had the Margarita Flatbread, Hubs had the crispy beef bowl (which was HUGE), and I had a wedge and the ahi tuna app. The food was delicious. The topper on the meal was definitely the creme brulee. We're a bit picky about brulee, and most places serve a wimpy sugar crust on theirs. At Bernie's, they do it right...a nice thick crust that requires you use a bit of effort to pierce...enough sugar that you actually taste the slightly burnt sugar flavor. Since we were celebrating hubby's birthday that night, he was very happy with his choice in restaurants. It's nice to have something new(ish) in the neighborhood!
Food was great, drinks were fantastic, and ambiance was awesome. The only negative was that the service was a little bit slow. They did however have two large private parties that day during prim time brunch so its understandable.
We went to Bernies for Brunch last Saturday. We had never been but were pleasantly surprised! The brunch menu had a lot of great options and a fair price. We loved the look and feel of Bernie's as well. I'd like to come back soon!
I would recommend because the food was delicious and the atmosphere was delightful. However, 3 out of our orders came incorrect. We had no silverware or napkins on our table,we had to ask for them. We did like our waitress so we didn't complain, just want with it.
Beautiful inside, plenty of seating, open floor plan provides lots of space. The food is exceptional, not exactly inexpensive, but well worth the price ! The server was attentive and pleasant. They even have a pool table, if one were so inclined. A marvelous meal I will be repeating semi regularly. :-)
Food was good and had a good beer selection but service not very good. Went on Sunday evening. Not that busy but took forever to get food and our wings came out with the dinner. Comfortable chairs but too big for the small tables for 4 people. Also, tables are too close together. Felt like our neighbors on either side were joining us for dinner.
Our food and service were good. after our meal two of us wanted coffee and our server said that they were out of coffee. They only had decaf. How can a restaurant run out of coffee? our reservation was at 1;15 on a Sunday, which meant there was no coffee for the rest of the day. There were two private parties going on. Maybe they used all the coffee. Anyway..... I can't think of a reason to run out of coffee. Send someone to the store to buy some.
