Drinks were the highlight. Rockfish was very chewy. The highly recommended dumplings were very garlic heavy.
Service was confusing as there were 2 servers always coming to the table asking the same things, clearly not communicating with one another.
Also felt a bit rushed to order.
Would return for the cocktails.

Service was pleasant, as were the cocktails, although the wine was terribly over priced. The food items we had were very mediocre at best, save for the rock fish which was great.

My wife and I went to Berkeley North for the first time tonight for a date night! It will definitely NOT be our last time. We had an outstanding time and would recommend! The restaurant accommodated our request for a more private table without even blinking an eyes. The food, drinks, ambience and service was amazing. Our server checked on us throughout the evening, explained the menu and answered any questions we had. We were promptly greeted and seated when we arrived and when we left we were thanked by multiple staff members for coming and all said goodnight! The prices fairly reflected the service and meal we had.

Food was not worth the price. Small quantities. They ran out of the pasta at 7 pm, which doesn’t make sense.

Nice little restaurant with a variety on menu for both food and drink.
I had the feature dish (which was seafood pasta) and got there in a nick of time as it was the last one available for the night. I didn't think the portion size matched the price but it was tasty.
I ordered a beer on tap which had run out and had to choose something else. I didn't really like it and I think a better description of what was replacing my choice would have helped.
My husband had the lamb spring rolls and Hamilton hot chicken which he enjoyed and the restaurant was chosen mainly for him so it was a success.
On a whole, we love supporting local and would definitely recommend to family and friends!

I've had the privilege of living in Toronto, New York and Hamilton over the past few years and without question, BN is one of (if not) the best, most consistently excellent restaurant I've come across.

First time and will not be our last time when visiting downtown Hamilton.

Amazing food, amazing service. Easily one of our favourite restaurants in Hamilton. This is not a place for portions, it's definitely a quality over quantity situation, but even then, it's pretty good value for what you're getting. There's something for everyone, that's for sure!

Wonderful experience. The service was well informed, attentive and very kind. The food was exceptional. Great, nuanced flavours, expertly cooked. The wine selection offers a fun variety and is well chosen to compliment the menu items. The decor, ambiance and music were all elegant and beautifully understated. This was a birthday lunch for a good friend, and we could not have asked for a better dining experience. Many thanks! Oh! And the profiteroles and gourmet tea served in a French press was excellent :)

first time visitors to hamilton, trip advisor helped us pick this closest to venue/hotel quality. food was fab, as was the service and entire experience. too bad the wine is overpriced and unremarkable. thats the only negative observation.

Food& drinks were amazing . First time there after a friend of mine couldn’t stop recommending it. Boyfriend & shared 4 plates, each came out 1 by 1, we loved everything- especially the fresh cheese & sour dough & the lamb spring rolls. I would recommend! :)

Best restaurant in Hamilton. Great food, exceptional service. Small menu to keep the quality of the food at such a high level. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Absolutely delicious! We chose to do tapas which worked well for our party of four. They spaced out delivery of the tapas so we could enjoy each dish while warm. The meatballs flavour was incredible…a definite must. Tempura shrimp was so good we ordered a second one! Their made in house cheese and sourdough was wonderful and also a must order. Try the specialty drink. We had the ooh la la which was great. The service was outstanding. We will be back!

We recognize the challenges with COVID but we do miss the former more extensive and creative menu available pre COVID. Also now less options for coeliac dietaryrestrictions. Unfortunately nothing special to bring us back. Sorry.

This was my first time dinning at Berkley North and the experience was so amazing!! I can't wait to be back.

Great bar menu and service was top notch.
Would recommend to all.
