Our server/bartender was great! We planned to shop across the street at BG Women's Store and this was the perfect place to have a casual lunch beforehand. We will definitely be back!

Unsurpassed quality food and service. The beef taquitos continue to impress along with the highly talented bar staff. A little gem of a restaurant that beats the big name "wanna be great" restaurants in NYC! It's worth the Amtrak ride from DC to NYC to eat (and shop with the affable Omar) at BG.

The very best Little Gem salad ever! The dressing and the herbs are perfect. The best part are the Madelines, light as clouds and exquisite. Never had better ones in any top French restaurant. Worth stopping for a nice coffee and those!

Nice cozy little lunch bar. The server was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable! The Parker Rolls are a must have, blt lobster roll as well as the shrimp. Oh and dessert, delicious little cups of a chocolate mousse like pudding with sea salt.

Absolutely love this little hidden bar and restaurant in Bergdorf Goodman. We came all the way from San Diego to enjoy the Pear Thyme drink! The bartenders, Asa and Eric, are so welcoming and two of the finest gentlemen we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Looking forward to the next time we are in the city and spending some time at this special bar.

BG’s barbacoa taquitos (previously reviewed) are reminiscently familiar to the Mexico City street tacos that I enjoyed as a university student in that city. Intrigued by their uniqueness, on my most recent visit I queried Chef Adolfo about their palate addictive origins (meat, sauce, ingredients, tortillas, etc.). Well, Chef Adolfo has Panamanian origins, a father with considerable culinary experience, is very familiar with the diversity of Mexican cuisine (not Tex-Mex), has apprenticed in Paris for a well-known restaurant, another establishment in NYC – all before finding his base at BG. His culinary skills, uncommon for his young age, are gastronomic alchemy, i.e., he takes the common and transforms it into the uncommon. With his taquitos, he serves “street fare with flare” (but then again – it is BG!). Want another taste treat? Try the chef’s Madeleines – a wispy lemon taste of an experience, sit back and sigh! Mine were fresh out of the oven! While waiting for your food order, look around. You’ll discover that BG men’s restaurant is a montage of intriguing characters. While other stores have mere customers, BG has “urbane patrons” interacting with attentive BG team members. Eric, at the bar, handles multiple beverage requests with aplomb. Then, there is the Pied Piper (Omar Chandler) of BG men’s clothing who has the rare gift of anticipation when it comes to knowing what a male client requires without being pushy! The affable Omar is known to suggest to clients that they enjoy the Chef’s creations while he collects clothing items for them to peruse and purchase. I witnessed one gentleman enjoying lunch and wine while trying on different shoes and examining a collection of shirts! This is “white glove” team service at its best and only at BG! Final word - enjoy the taquitos while you can because some enterprise will come along and snatch Adolfo away!

Barbacoa tacos at BG? You can bet your last peso on this terrific dish at BG's men's restaurant. Confession - I enjoyed 4 orders of these palate pleasing taquitos on my last visit to BG. The place is a "guy place" and is reminiscent of a private men's club bar. The bartenders are mixologist wonders. A big shout out to Omar Chandler - personal shopper par excellence - for bringing this must go to spot at the men's store. I loved the previous space, pre-pandemic. When I made the reservation, I didn't know there was a new space. It's quite wonderful! Though very, very crowded, the service was excellent. My salad was average. The Parker Rolls were spectacular. The gnocchi looked great. It's quite price-y, but I can't wait to return.
