I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful restaurant. The food was incredible (the best gnochi I've ever had), the service, from the minute we walked in the door until we finished our meal, was supreme, and everything else about our dining experience was exceptional. The desserts are homemade and you must save room for the out of this world carrot cake.

Awesome restaurant, amazing Food, every dish came out flavorful with presentation. From minestrone soup to pasta, to salmon and steak. All were great. Icing on the cake was the home made tiramisu. Simply fantastic!

Explorer - My husband and I love this place. We've eaten here several times. The food is excellent - hot, unique, and very tasty. We split the Angela salad, my husband also had a bowl of minestrone, I had the salmon, he had a pasta dish. If you are going for dinner we recommend reservations and go early. Our reservations were for 6:00 and by 6:30 the restaurant was completely full on a Sat. night. It does get noisy and I wasn't that impressed with our female waitress but we will still go back. As I said, the food was well worth it.

We’re former Salvatore’s regulars and hadn’t been to the new Benvenuti. Ambiance is very similar, menu is close to Sal’s and the food was just as delicious as ever. Our group had the pesto gnocchi, petrale sole, and Fettuccine Pescatora. Everyone liked their meal and we’ll return soon. Our party of four adults had shared appetizers, entree’s, a reasonably priced wine and our check was $170. Great deal for the quality of cuisine.

This was our first visit since this restaurant reopened after many occasions of dining at Salvatore’s.
We had one of the best Italian meals ever! Everything was very fresh, prepared perfectly, & beyond delicious! My salmon was so tasty, just the right amount of a light sauce on it, and the leek/chard side dish was unique & scrumptious! Fabulous Manhattan, too! We’ll definitely be back & we highly recommend this place!

Ben Venu tri is one of our go to places in Walnut Creek. It is reasonable and good quality. the gnocchi is exceptional. Dragona is a terrific waitress. We have followed her from Prima to Teleferic to Momo to Benvenuti. She always makes it a special experience.

Angela and her son Giuseppe provide service that is simply over the top. Angela makes you feel like family coming home. She greets her returning customers with open arms. Giuseppe serves the tables with infectious enthusiasm. Somehow, great service can make an ordinary meal extraordinary. Benvenuti (formerly Salvatore’s) is a local favorite. If you are looking for an economical cocktail try their happy hour. A selection of cocktails are offered at $7.00 each.

Our server Giuseppe was great! He made wonderful recommendations and I think it’s great when a waiter knows his food, has an opinion and enjoys sharing it with his customers. I hope he’s our waiter again next time!

The food was excellent, however Open Table did not make it clear, and neither did the venue, that there would be a prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day (although I should have expected it). The price was $75 per person, which was very expensive for what we ate -- lasagna and rib eye steak. The food was delicious, but overpriced. I will definitely go there again, just not on a holiday where there is a prix fixe menu. I was expecting to spend $100 (not including cocktails), and I ended up spending $165, almost double.

My wife and I had an excellent dinner , the food is amazing and our waitress was attentive without being pushy. Homemade seafood pasta and sauce.
Pork chop was cooked perfectly.
The roasted Cauliflower was over the top.
Highly recommend this gem

Very friendly staff that was accommodating when I had to change the number in our party at the last minute. Our waitress was very informed about the menu and had suggestions for our gluten free friend. Fantastic crab ravioli special with butter sauce and citrus segments. It was a wonderful meal and a nice way to celebrate a birthday. The lemon chiffon cake was incredible.

This restaurant re-opened with one of the original owners and a new chef. We think this new chef is better than the previous one when it was Guiseppe's. The home made pastas are awesome. The bread is delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - but give me butter for my bread!! The veal scallopini was lemony (but not overpowering) and light. The cauliflower side was delicious and perfectly cooked. I hate mushy vegetables. Excellent Meal!!

We were unfortunately disappointed with our food though our waitress was attentive. The minestrone soup came out cold and my eggplant was stuffed with cubed, dried vegetables on top of curly pasta and a flavorless marinara sauce. I wish I could give high marks for the caesar salad but it was just lettuce tossed with a creamy dressing. The food lacked the comforts I remember from Salvatore but perhaps Benvenuti is still developing their menu. We might be back but it will be a long time...
