Ben Venu tri is one of our go to places in Walnut Creek. It is reasonable and good quality. the gnocchi is exceptional. Dragona is a terrific waitress. We have followed her from Prima to Teleferic to Momo to Benvenuti. She always makes it a special experience.
The food was wonderful! The service was great! The owner (didn’t catch her name) was very sweet and sincerely concerned we had a good time. Highly recommend!
Angela and her son Giuseppe provide service that is simply over the top. Angela makes you feel like family coming home. She greets her returning customers with open arms. Giuseppe serves the tables with infectious enthusiasm. Somehow, great service can make an ordinary meal extraordinary. Benvenuti (formerly Salvatore’s) is a local favorite. If you are looking for an economical cocktail try their happy hour. A selection of cocktails are offered at $7.00 each.
Our server Giuseppe was great! He made wonderful recommendations and I think it’s great when a waiter knows his food, has an opinion and enjoys sharing it with his customers. I hope he’s our waiter again next time!
This was our second time here and it was just as good as the first time. Came to celebrate my mother’s 69th birthday.
We would go there when it was Salvatore’s.
They were closed for remodeling for quite some time, so glad they have reopened.
Great people with Sicilian roots, family atmosphere, delicious foods.
Arrived early, so the place was a little slow. Service was prompt, food was delicious.
Third time here. It’s now my favorite dining spot in Walnut Creek. Great food, outstanding service, modern ambience, reasonable prices.
Our favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek. Always great food and good service. Ciaoi
Will definitely return. Pleasant atmosphere and great fresh quality food.
Staff friendly, food delicious... clams appetizer was outstanding.
We loved our dinner. 6 for 6 delicious dinners. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful time and absolutely amazing service! Loved our waiter and the food was great
The food was excellent, however Open Table did not make it clear, and neither did the venue, that there would be a prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day (although I should have expected it). The price was $75 per person, which was very expensive for what we ate -- lasagna and rib eye steak. The food was delicious, but overpriced. I will definitely go there again, just not on a holiday where there is a prix fixe menu. I was expecting to spend $100 (not including cocktails), and I ended up spending $165, almost double.
It was a really nice experience, our waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious.
Engagement anniversary and valentine’s day
We loved it again. We have been coming here for years. The quality of the food is great and the
ambiance is wonderful. It is, and has been, one of our favorites.
Limited menu on Valentines Day was disappointing! Food was okay not great
Perfect Valentines Day Dinner. We will come back soon
My wife and I had an excellent dinner , the food is amazing and our waitress was attentive without being pushy. Homemade seafood pasta and sauce.
Pork chop was cooked perfectly.
The roasted Cauliflower was over the top.
Highly recommend this gem
We had outstanding service. Food was superb. A tad noisy, but that might have been us.
Very friendly staff that was accommodating when I had to change the number in our party at the last minute. Our waitress was very informed about the menu and had suggestions for our gluten free friend. Fantastic crab ravioli special with butter sauce and citrus segments. It was a wonderful meal and a nice way to celebrate a birthday. The lemon chiffon cake was incredible.
Evrything was yummy and the we tried all the specials. The octopus was the best!
This restaurant re-opened with one of the original owners and a new chef. We think this new chef is better than the previous one when it was Guiseppe's. The home made pastas are awesome. The bread is delicious, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - but give me butter for my bread!! The veal scallopini was lemony (but not overpowering) and light. The cauliflower side was delicious and perfectly cooked. I hate mushy vegetables. Excellent Meal!!
Wonderful! Food exceptional and the service was even better!!!
We were unfortunately disappointed with our food though our waitress was attentive. The minestrone soup came out cold and my eggplant was stuffed with cubed, dried vegetables on top of curly pasta and a flavorless marinara sauce. I wish I could give high marks for the caesar salad but it was just lettuce tossed with a creamy dressing. The food lacked the comforts I remember from Salvatore but perhaps Benvenuti is still developing their menu. We might be back but it will be a long time...
Absolutely amazing experience from appetizer to dessert!
Once again Benvenuti did not disappoint. Started off at the bar with Vincenzo who makes the best drinks! Giuseppe was our server and he made our experience GREAT and served us delicious food! Great neighborhood gem!
After noticing this place driving by we came in and had the most delicious pastas and appetizers, along with outstanding service. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want quality authentic Italian food that will leave you full with perfect sized portions. Also the wines by the glass and suggestions were perfect!
Food was delicious and a great selection Service was fantastic
Always enjoy the food. Get the same thing most of the time because I love it
We had a nice dinner with another couple sharing birthdays. We were in the separate room off to the side. It was great as we were the only ones, so it was very quiet and conducive to good conversation. It can be kind of noisy, but it was midweek so there was no problem. Our server was very helpful with answering questions about the menu and she was friendly and
Delicious food, casual and friendly atmosphere, excellent service.
We were late to the party, that is this was our first time back since they re-opened many months ago. We had a very good meal and were able to let Angela know, too. We started with cocktails, lavender lemon drop for her and a Bombay martini for me. Both were well mixed with the lemon drop not being too sweet. We split the arancine appetizer that come two to the plate with a tasty marinara sauce for dipping - excellent! We split a Cesare salad that was dressed properly and had a rich flavor. Mains were some beautiful sautéed scallops dish and a linguini with clams. Both were flavorful and well portioned. Crusty bread with a garlic/olive oil/tomato dipping sauce was served. as well. Service was friendly and prompt. The remodeled interior is bright and airy, but can get a bit noisy at times. Overall, the new restaurant is a hit with us and we will be looking forward to dining there again.
The entire staff there is warm and welcoming and the food is the best in Walnut Creek.
Good reasonably priced restaurant with difficult parking
Fabulous and consistent and wonderfully delicious
Fantastic food! Just keep in mind the inside is very noisy when it’s a packed house.
Everything we tried was delicious. The owner, Angela, is a doll and makes you feel like an old friend. We will definitely be going back, can't wait to try out more items from the menu.
I was sad when Salvatore Ristorante closed at this location, however Benvenuti Ristorante is everything that Salvatore was and more. I was happy to see some familiar faces when greeted by the hostess, and I was not disappointed in the quality of the food, drinks and service! This restaurant is on my "A" list of places to eat in Walnut Creek.
