I’m vegetarian, and they didn’t have any vegetarian main course in the menu. When I asked the waitress she very kindly invented one plate for me, however it was really poor in taste. If you’re not vegetarian, I recommend the restaurant, the service was great, as the ambience. The food (even not vegetarian) seemed ok, but nothing to die for.
The best was the salmon and the pistachio ice cream
My husband and I were surprisingly delighted by this restaurant. We usually enjoy French fine dining, but needed something quicker for our date night to Carnegie Hall. We walked into a charming, Paris-style bistro. The food was delicious! Wine was well chosen for us. We were a little pinched for time trying to get out for our show, but still made it (8:00 show, 6:00 reservation). Overall going to become a go to for when we come into the city for activities in that area. We were already picking what we will try from the menu next time Thanks!

Our drinks never came so we had to flag someone down. Then they finally came when the dinner was delivered. So much for a cocktail before dinner. Waitress said no one was helping her so it wasn't her fault. Chicken was dry. French fries cool and not crispy. Bummer all around. Won't be back.
Excellent place for everything -- great food, service, and ambiance. All my friends enjoyed our monthly get together. Every request we made was well accommodated and delivered.
Not convinced it's worth the expense
Yes, it's beautiful, quiet, and the food is scrumptious - but my duck a l'orange consisted of one long slice of duck breast. One slice, approximately 6 or 7 inches long, an inch tall, and 1/4 inch wide. This is a tiny portion, in my opinion. The duck came with some highly forgettable leeks/parsnip circles. There went $36. I wouldn't call that a "breast of duck." I'd say it was a nice sample of a breast of duck. In contrast, my husband's onion soup was incredibly large and filling. One could have fed four with all the melted cheese. He also enjoyed a huge portion of steak tartare, coarse ground, very tasty.
This was my third visit after the change.
First time steak tartar was to chewy. Uneatable.
Second time was New Year's Eve. Fabulous food.
Third visit, the main ingredient in onion soup was salt. And cassoulet pot was left on the stove unattended for too long before it was served. It had hardly and liquid.
All it all the service has improved but the food is too inconsistent to go there on a regular basis. You'll be taking a chance. The only thing that's consistent is the fabulous price.

I used to come here a decade ago. It’s about the same which is a good thing. What’s to be expected of a Alain Ducasse Restaurant. Standouts are: onion soup, pate, and especially the Tarte Tatin.
