Have always liked Bennett’s - I loved Bandaras and I didn’t think another restaurant could come close but Bennett’s did it.
Bennett's has become a Sacramento favorite. Why? The menu is broad, offering something for most anyone's taste. Starting with a glass of wine and shared Caesar salads. My wife enjoyed 'brick' chicken which I agree was flavorful. I ordered a filet with french fries (a sub for mashed potatoes). The fries are very good and arrived hot! Wine is available by the glass & bottle at reasonable price point. We have dined here several times and the depth of menu selections insures you can return without burning out. We enjoyed the professional service provided by 'Jen'. I recommend Bennett's.
Excellent service from Christian and Stephanie!!! Great patio setting for a girls afternoon where we enjoyed drinks and appetizers. We then moved to the bar area for dinner and watched the playoffs. Go Niners!!!
Stephanie was wonderful. Attentive service and great personality. Definitely will be back.
My wife and I have been to Bennett's approximately 15 times in the last six months. This is a great test of consistency and I will say that Bennett's has been consistently excellent. This ranges from the quality of the food to the quality and graciousness of the staff. Bennett's also offers outstanding outdoor dining in this location. Totally safe from a pandemic perspective, but also quite comfortable with very good outdoor heating. Could not be more positive about this place.
Only restaurant I visit without salt and pepper shakers/grinders
Thank you for making our birthday dinner so special. Was very impressed our host, server and manager acknowledged the birthday and comp’d our cocktails and dessert. The food and service was absolutely outstanding. Thank you for making the dinner special and memorable.
Good Food, serves , and clean look ,plus prominent location .
Beautiful place to dine in. Great atmosphere for one person or a group of friends. Andrea was my partner not my server, we had a partnership I ask she answered in truth, everything she suggested was SPOT ON. Best and I mean best spinach dip I've ever had in Sacramento. Fish was moist I tried the cauliflower dish, still can't believe how good it was. Everything was delicious. Worth every penny spent. This will definitely be my new hangout.
Was looking forward to trying the rest at the replace Banderas. The ambience was nice and We were seated promptly. Our server was at our table within a few minutes after we ordered our drinks it took almost 15 minutes to get them. We then ordered the trio of dips hoping the pimento cheese dip was the Bandera’s recipe which it was not but it was still good. We also ordered the salt and pepper prawns which are always excellent. We had ran out of chips for the dip and our server asked if we would like more and we said yes please. After almost 10 minutes we asked our server again for the chips and she said she had put the order in now 15 minutes later they arrive with our dinner and then the chips at this point we are no longer are going to have chips and dip because our porterhouse steak had arrived. We also ordered the mia salad to share which was supposed to come with avocado, grape tomatoes, and cornbread croutons Which it did not and it only had one or two pieces of dates. When our server came back we asked her about the salad and she agreed it was missing items so she took it back.
When I went to use the restroom the toilet had overflowed and a gentleman was trying to clean it however the bathroom smelled the rest of the night. I love Paul Martin’s and Bennett’s kitchen I had a little bit more expectations of Bennett’s American cooking. Hopefully they wrinkle out the kinks.
Service was above average…food was below average.
Wonderful place. Food consistently good. Servers are professionals and friendly. Comfortable, stylish and welcoming.
Very good Covid protocols, including safety glass between booths. Food was very good and delivered promptly with excellent service. We were tempted by items both on the regular menu and on their evening specials. When this location used to house Bandera, we liked it but found it dark and noisy. Freshly updated and much nicer lighting creates a better feel. Will definitely be back again soon.
It was nice that we had a separate room for a family brunch for a party of 10. Excellent service by Jen!
We had a large group in the back room and had great service!
Had a superb dinner - and every element was perfect. The prime rib was the best I have ever tasted - well prepared, tender, tasty. All of the accompaniments were delicious. My husband had a hot sandwich which he adored. And the drinks were sublime. My Negroni was the best I ever had prepared at a restaurant. It was clear that there was no scrimping on ingredients. My husband's wine was a very generous pour and clearly high quality. Applause. Outstanding experience. We will be back!!
Lots of gluten free options and large portions. Plenty of parking
Food was great 👍 service also was 👍
New Year’s Eve was really nice. With plexiglass between booths no one should feel uncomfortable eating here.
Very nice place, n the food was very good but the portions were average especially the size of the stake n only three pieces of asparagus?? charge extra for bread? Service was very good! N no wait, overall pretty good ,
The waitress was excellent. Had to wait to be sitted. Food was good. Had to send back the sauteed spinach because it was too under cooked.
Very nice ambiance
Kevin was an outstanding server! He was very responsive, attentive and clear. He was extremely cautious when it came to my daughter’s peanut allergy. He had high-end server professionalism that made everyone in our party feel special.
Excellent! Prime Rib and Bone in Rib Eye were perfect. Will recommend dinning at Bennett's to everyone we know.
We love Bennett’s and have eaten there several times enjoying different selections from the menu with each visit. And it is such a great menu! However, this last occasion I found myself wishing for the first time that I’d ordered something different. I’d chosen the Asian Noodle Salad with an addition of Thai chicken. The description and presentation were mouth-watering, but the dish fell quite flat with over-cooked mushy noodles and dry chicken. Not much in the way of peanuts or mangos in the offering either. I didn’t send it back, but should have as the staff didn’t look overly busy. My bad, I suppose, but I won’t order that selection again.
Also- on another note (no pun intended), I found the in-house music selection mystifying and somewhat irritating. Not an overly young or old crowd there, so why not some classy choice to match the ambiance, such as Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra instead of whatever loud smashy trash was playing. A clear case of ‘know your audience’.
Treated myself to a nice Birthday Dinner! Delish 🥳
First time visit, seated quickly, and our server showed up soon after we sat down. We ordered drinks and an appetizer off the happy hour menu. Food came quickly and was very good as were the drinks. Dinner order also came quickly and was very good, only complaint if you can call it that is there was a lot of food, next visit we may split a dinner item. Our server was excellent, he checked in often but was not intrusive.
Food and service were exceptional. Will definitely be back.
We love this place the food and staff is always at its best. It was a great experience,
We had the dip trio - it was pretty good. The spinach dip with fresh chips was good. All of our entrees were overpriced and just OK.
We were there on a busy Christmas Eve. Eager to return.
My reservation was for Christmas Eve night I was a little nervous about that however I was blown away it was beyond a 10 beyond five stars just amazing
The service was wonderful. My family spent Christmas Eve at Bennett’s and had a great experience. We will be back soon.
This was the third time I’ve been to Bennett’s and they were having a little off night. The clam chowder was one of the best I have ever had; however, it was cool. I ordered the filet mignon and let the server Kevin know that I like it medium and asked if the cooks are spot on with how they prepare their meats. Kevin said, if you order in it medium, then it’s medium. It was a short response. Therefore, I ordered it medium well and my filet came well done. Not to mention the mashed potatoes were cold as well. Apparently, Kevin let the manager know and the manager came up immediately to our table. I know most folks are looking for something free; however, we were not. We were just voicing our opinions as there might be a training issue. It wasn’t that crowded when we got there at 5 o’clock and there was still plenty of room when we left at 7 PM. Let me say the manager was quite Accommodating and I want to give a kudos to Christian at the door. Both very excellent customer service…. Thank you all for your service! I will be back…
I love this restaurant…the menu has a little bit of everything. Service is excellent. Food is excellent! No complaints at all!
Manger was amazing. She checked on and greeted all.
The service was so-so. When it came to paying the bill, the server screwed up and billed us for 2 of the $60 Monday Special when only one couple had ordered it. When we inquired about $20 for a bowl of soup, the server said "yes, that's right". (The soup IS good but not for $20 when the menu states it's only $15). She sent the manager over, who proceeded to wheel and deal over how she could make an adjustment . "Why don't you just choose a bottle of wine to take with you?" When we agreed, she said, "Oh wait, I can't do that," I felt like I was at a car dealership trying to buy a car.
I wasn't going to write a review but when I got my credit card bill for $200, I thought I should share.
