   This location used to be Red Robin. Fantastic location with plenty of parking. The place was completely packed. Unfortunately, the food quality was not that good compared to Burlingame location. The soup was cold, mushroom was not whole pieces, just bits, salad no thousand island sauce, my party said food quality not good. I'm sure its just starting to vamp up so will give it a shot again later.

   First time to this new location and will be my last. Services was horrible and the food did not meet expectations compared to other Benihana locations that I’ve been to. The servings were skimpy and the waitress was very slow and kept forgetting to bring the drinks ordered and the appetizer never arrived which I then had to cancel since we already started eating our meal. Overall, I rate this location at 5/10 stars. The only plus to this location was the ample free parking.

   ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY! THE ONLY THINGS GOOD WERE SOUP & SALAD. THE "KID" CHEF WAS NICE, BUT LACKED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO COOK! DIDN'T MAKE ENOUGH FRIED RICE HAD THE NON-ENGLISH-SPEAKING HELPER GET A PLAIN RICE BOWL W/ 3 TINY CHICKEN PIECES ON TOP., BTW, IT'S $7.50 XTRA PER BOWL. THE RICE WAS FLYING ALL OVER, INC CHICK LEFT UNDER PLATES. ORDERED A SIDE OF SHRIMP W/ STEAK, HE MIXED IT WITH EVERYONE ELSES SHRIMP. I GOT 20 DICED UP PIECES FOR $13.50 XTRA! WE ASKED FOR THE STEAMED RICE WHICH "COMES" WITH THE MEAL, NEVER BROUGHT IT. HE HAD PROBLEM WITH THE GRILL, ORDERED 3 MED-RARE STEAKS GOT GRAY SHOE LEATHER INSTEAD, HAD TO GET 3 NEW STEAK & SAME W/ LADY NEXT TO US. I HAD TO TELL HIM HOW TO COOK IT. NO UPPER STAFF SUPERVISOR, NOBODY QUESTIONED "WHY" A TABLE NEEDS 4 NEW STEAKS!? ASKED THE LADY HELPER TO GET MORE DRINKS, RESPONSE NO INGLES. WHERE'S THE QUALITY CONTROL, MANAGEMENT NEVER WALKED AROUND TO CHECK TO SEE HOW THINGS ARE GOING& FIX A ISSUE THEN. ONLY OPEN 1 MONTH!! CHECK YELP REVIEWS THEY'RE LOUSY ALREADY. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY, ONLY OFFERED ME 1 MEAL WE WERE 3. THE BAR MANAGER JOSH, SAID IF I COME BACK MINE WOULD BE FREE. I ASKED FOR 2 SO NOT TO COME ALONE AND GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT, TOLD NO. THEY THINK I'M GOING TO COME BACK TO "{PAY FOR ANOTHER DINNER", THEIR CRAZY! YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT, GET ANOTHER CHANCE BUT THEY AREN'T WILLING TO KEEP A CUSTOMER HAPPY. btw, NO SHOW, NO ONION VOLCANO, NOTHING. DON'T WASTE YOU'RE HARD-EARNED MONEY THERE, TRY ANOTHER HIBACHI STYLE RESTAURANT, MOST LIKELY BETTER!

   Our server and chef were great. The food was also delicious. My main complaint is that we waited over an hour to get our food started. Our reservation was at 8 PM but food didn’t start cooking until around 9:10 PM. The restaurant wasn’t packed and I did see others waiting, but I did notice that there were not many chefs available. Our chef was very nice and skillful and put on a great show. I think Benihana should hire more chefs so they can provide better service and decrease the overall wait time.

   We had an amazing time at dinner!! It’s been a while since our group of friends have been to Benihana - we all grew up here in the Bay Area so this was a nostalgic treat! Our waiter Tony was amazing, very attentive and assisted us with all our needs. Our chef Dixon put on a great show! We had such a great time we can’t thank everyone enough!!

   This was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had at Benihana. Our reservation was at 6:30. We weren’t seated until 7:00 and the chef didn’t arrive at our table until past 8:00! The staff was not very friendly nor were they entertaining as you would expect for Benihana, especially since we were celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. My daughter was disappointed and upset. I complained to the manager and he offered us free pictures that were just as bad as their service.

    The staff was young and clueless. Bartender was cold. Couldn't even make a basic martini. The manager and chef were really good, but the place is not that great for what you pay.
