   Eating at Benihana is a good, but expensive experience. the best part was the food and the valet for parking. The Milwaukee location has not been updated for quite some time and looks a bit run down. The food is delicious and the quality of food is great. The chef was fun. The noise level is a little out of control with all the banging the chef does and all the conversations going on at the same time. The waitstaff is right on top of things, and conscious of your needs. Since the tables seat about 8 and we had a party of 4, we sat with another family. It worked out nicely.

   I was very disappointed! I became gluten free about one year ago. I made the restaurant aware and even questioned everything I received. I was assured everything I ate was gluten free however right after dinner began displaying symptoms I only experience when I eat gluten. I was very sick for the next day and do not plan on returning.

   We were seated with a family with 2 young children and we all enjoyed our dining experience. The specialty drinks, appetizers, and entrees were very good. Our chef was entertaining and prepared our mails to perfection!

    We had a very nice time, our waiter was very attentive, Our chief was quiet but entertaining. We loved the plumb wine, and our meal was very very good, we had scallops and added the noodles, Noodles are very hard to eat with chop sticks, But they did taste great. Wish that I had got chicken fried rice, It looked really good, even the tofu looked good. We sat with 6 young people, whom were polite but kept to themselves. Next time we're bringing our own party and doing the guest chief, Cant wait.

    Usually my experience is nice! This time my cook was non entertaining and seemed to either have an attitude or was just ready to go! There were two other parties at my table and this was their first time! I told them to revisit because they didn’t get the full experience! We also didn’t get our desserts (minor but we paid for it and 20% gratuity)!

    We really were surprised to find this place was so bland in both appearance & food. The look was very commercial & sterile, the only decor being some Asian pictures on the walls in cheap wood frames, attached by screws that were simply drilled thru the frames themselves. When we went to order our drinks, I was surprised they didn't have coffee, so I ordered green tea. It came at room temperature in a small glass condiment type cup, no honey or anything was offered. My husband wanted a mojito, but was told they had no mint, which was ridiculous as half their drink menu showcased different mojitos. The soup was nothing more than a small bowl of plain broth w/ just a few bits of green onion & about 4 thin slices of mushroom in each bowl. Tasty, but watery & weak. The salad was very basic. Lettuce w/ shredded carrots & purple cabbage, 2 grape tomatoes, & a spoonful of citrus ground ginger. We were told it came w/ white rice, or we could upgrade to chicken fried rice for another $6 each, which we opted for the white rice. The meat & vegetables off the grill were very basic but tasted great. We were not offered any kind of sauces, or even salt & pepper, which was odd, as we thought it was supposed to come with 2 sauces. Our rice never came, so when we asked for a box we asked for our rice to-go. They offered desserts as a scoop of ice cream or sherbet, so I got vanilla & my husband got the sherbet. They both were literally just a small scoop of the most basic, cheap, kind of fake tasting vanilla ice cream & syrupy lime sherbet. Even with the $30 coupon, our 2 meals, green tea, a mule drink, & tip came to about $90. This was absolutely the most disappointing dining experience we've had. We really expected something more put together & authentic, flavorful at that price point, not the hospital cafeteria quality we got. We don't plan on ever coming back, even w/ any future discount birthday coupons, as everything except the meat quality was very cheap, Not an experience.

    The team really struggled to manage the allergies on the table. We had a celiac in our party and the other party had a mushroom and shellfish allergy. They did not manage the food presentation in a manner that would care for the group. It was very disappointing.

    Waitress wasn’t able to explain all the menu options. Mediocre service. Hibachi experience could’ve been better. We had a seafood allergy in the group. Food was cooked downstairs . Very small portion compared to others. Not very accommodating overall. Disappointed

    The cooker was very boring. We spent over 1000$ to see live excitement experience and everyone was very upset. They cook and left they was in a hurry. We had 4 birthdays in this was a disappointment experience. We will never come to this location at all. In will be posting how bad the cooker are and boring. The other table was more exciting everyone was looking over there and wanted to leave them a tip. We usually leave good tops but not one family member thought they needed it. So we give the cooks the thumb down👎🏾👎🏾

    We had a GREAT time! The place has been updated and the service was great, food tasted great! Only issue was value was a little sketchy- we didn’t feel comfortable using it because there was no true identification on the person, and it didn’t seem legitimate. It was, but- it should be more obvious. We will definitely be back!

    Disappointed in the milwaukee Benihana Steak and shrimp were under cooked and salmon was overcooked. They forgot to include the veggies with my dish and I had to ask for the rice, which is supposed to come with every meal. I was also surprised that for a party of 2, they included a 20% gratuity. I know that is typical for a party over six, though the service was not what it used to be and I didnt get half my meal, and the rest was not edible. The point of Benihana is to go for the experience, though both meals ordered were not edible. If you order pizza after a meal, you know it wasnt up to par.

    The manager here was extremely rude and short with me when I expressed my confusion about using a coupon. You also do not get big portions, considering how much money you pay. Definitely felt like we were being cheated out of a meal.

    Service and food overall was great, however, I brought a group of friends from out of town that were all interested in ordering sushi with the hibachi meals. We were told by the server that the "sushi chef" was off and they were unable to make sushi. On a Saturday night. Bummer.

    A lot more expensive then it use to be and they tack on the tip automatically. So if you get poor service who cares. For what it cost to go there I get better service and better tasting food and entertainment at other places. I use to go there a least once a month before COVID. I will not ever go back again.

    The restaurant was old and in desperate need up updating. The service was lacking, with slow refills and service. The cook seemed to be in a hurry to end his shift and didn’t do anything that you expect from this type of Japanese steakhouse (the other cooks were doing the “entertaining” cooking, such as the chopping, utensil flipping, fire tricks you’d expect). We would have had the same experience if we’d just sat in the kitchen of a hibachi restaurant, except for less money, with better food and service.

    It was my birthday dinner with my fiancé and although there were allot of Birthday diners going on we enjoyed the energy without the Birthday singing or dessert, the entertainment of the chef cooking in front of us and serving us, the food was absolutely amazing. The only issue was the server offered poor and slow service. Maybe she needs more time off or less tables but she seemed irritated with us asking for drinks or our dessert that was ordered with our food. But it was my birthday and I refuse to not enjoy a day dedicated to my creation so I still enjoyed it!
