I made reservations. Waited fifteen minutes to be seated. Waited another fifteen to get a server. I went for my birthday which has been a tradition for years and we were no longer offered a picture. We ordered food we never received. Had to have the bill fixed twice. Service seriously lacking. The cook was great. I agree with other reviews that the food has gotten expensive and the experience isn’t meeting the price point. Hibachi dinners include dessert on the menu but only one was offered (because I told them it was my birthday). Seems like I need a new restaurant for my tradition.

The food was good. The chef was excellent. The server was a bit slow, perhaps due to the number of customers at the time. The worst part was how smokey the restaurant was due to a number of tables not turning on the vents while cooking. The noise level was almost unbearable. It was very difficult to hear what the server was saying or asking. I also wish she would have slowed her speech a little. Her accent and rapid speech pattern made it very challenging to understand, especially with the noise level. But, all the employees were very cordial and tried to make the dining experience enjoy.
Seems like the portions have gotten smaller but the prices are higher. Service was attentive. Wasn't offered a birthday picture.
We love coming here. Yesterday was very bad service, food was just ok…. & we spent over $300…
The food and staff was great. A tad bit smoky as the hood was malfunctioning but not horrible. Overall a fun time.
Sitting very close to people. And they factor in gratuity in your bill at 20% .
Dinner was great, but it seems they cut the food portions down and had to ask about the complimentary photo when we never did in years past.

We celebrated a birthday with 7 people and had a fabulous time. Our chef was fantastic and I think that makes all the difference! Food was delicious!

We ordered the beef julienne which according to their menu contained this: BEEF JULIENNE
Teriyaki beef* with green onions and mushrooms grilled in a homemade teriyaki sauce.
We only received the beef, also soup was supposed to be included which we didn’t receive and no one asked us how our food was once we received it.
Too expensive and you have to pay for noodles or fried rice. That should be part of the meal. Choice of white rice, fried rice (no chicken) or noddles. We weren’t advised that noodles was an up charge. Noodles weren’t very good. The chicken was just seasoned with salt and pepper. The shrimp wasn’t cleaned very good. The chef didn’t have much of a personality.

Fair at best, low value. Only reason for visiting was to take advantage of a gift card we received. Restuarant had a cold ambiance, felt and looked dirty. Food OK - but way overpriced. Same with drinks. Much better choices to be had in MKE

We arrived very early for our reservation and they were very accommodating. Lots of fun and a great meal.
Great food and no wait
While the food was very good, the ambiance was very cold. The hibachi area is a very tight fit and too brightly lit. Art in the walls looked as if it came from target. It did not feel authentic at all. Food was far too expensive for the overall experience.
Only thing I did not like was that they automatically charged me a 20% gratuity. It wasn’t that I wouldn’t have done it anyway, our server was a delight, but auto charging I don’t agree with.
Our chef was amazing and funny. However, the food was not that great.. the teriyaki beef was amazing, but the rest of the "5 courses" was average. Our waitress was not good at all: she took 20min just to bring drinks, and both times she said she would come back, she did not. She had to be flagged down by the chef even tho we could see her at the counter for most of our show. The bathrooms were also not well kept. I was really excited to go here from everything I had heard and this was supposed to be a real treat, but besides the chef, it was a let down and not worth how expensive they are.

I chose this restaurant because we could make a reservation before a show and other restaurants were not open on a Tuesday night. The food was good and prepared well. We had steak, chicken, scallops and shrimp with our hibachi. However the restaurant was not clean. I found crusty old rice bits on my napkin and at the bar where we were asked to wait for our table. The floors and carpet were also dirty. All of the shades were closed in the restaurant, even after the sun set, preventing any views of downtown Milwaukee and essentially killing the ambiance.
Our chef was awesome and service was top knotch! Food was delicious.
My double Jack and Pepsi was watered down and prob a single, at a premium price…
Had a reservation at 5:00PM. Was not seated until 5:30PM. No food until 6:15PM. They make you sit in a dining area before actually seating you. Food was ok. Too expensive for what you actually receive.

First off this was our first visit here ever. The hype is all a LIE!!!! My daughters 20th birthday was reserved the cook at our table was boring and did no tricks or anything. Not sure because he wasn’t Asian but the other Asian cooks were doing tricks n being interactive at other tables. The seating is extremely close to people behind you. The ladies behind us were talking about their breast sizes smh. The waitress was social talking while our table waited minutes for her to turn around as we were ready to get our bills and go. The food was horrible omg first the portion size for the price is ridiculous the plate wasn’t filled he cut shrimps in half I had maybe 2 pieces of zucchini so no veggies really the rice portion extremely small it was not seasoned well. I got sick off this food when I got home for 2 days on toilet. We stated at the table while he was cooking we would never come here or recommended it to anyone especially celebrating something special n if it’s your first time definitely not worth it. Over priced no good portions non seasoned no excitement except the loud conversations around you from other guest. I highly recommend Fujuimi on Oklahoma. Great service food tastes good more seasoned definitely bigger portion sizes and price reasonable for what you’re paying for. We’ll never eat at Benihanas again.
