Benihana - Las Vegas Strip
The new 7,600 square-foot-restaurant is located inside one of Las Vegas’ premier shopping destinations, the Fashion Show Mall. Guests looking for the world-famous Benihana experience can dine at one of 18 teppanyaki tables. The restaurant’s sushi bar offers a more casual atmosphere. Those who want to keep an eye on the bustling Las Vegas Strip can enjoy a colorful cocktail on the patio, or at the bar, which is open to the Strip. Fashion Show offers complimentary valet parking at six key locations. Perfect for special events or parties, the restaurant can also seat guests in two semi-private dining rooms.
Lunch: Daily: 11:00am - 3:00pm; Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 3:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday & Saturday: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Had reservations at 8:30, didn’t sit down at the table until 9:00. We were told that a chef had called in. We sat at the table fir 45 minutes until the chef arrived at the table. I complained to the manager who told me that they were understaffed by 1 chef but I was told by the hostess that there was actually 4 out. The manager said, your chef is here now, enjoy your show. She didn’t offer any type of comp or anything. When the chef arrived, he apologized for the wait and that the manager was new and had no idea what she was doing. That was obvious. The chef also stated that she was all about getting numbers in but not customer service, also apparent. The food and chef were awesome but I don’t think I will be returning here.
Avoid Benihana in the Fashion Show mall. We arrived 5 minutes early for our 8pm reservation but had to wait until 9:15pm to be seated. The restaurant was extremely hot inside. Also, the waitress forgot to serve one of the courses of our meal (the salad). The food was good but overall this was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
this was the worst dining experience that I have ever had. We were an hour late to be seated, it took another hour to get our food, we had the rudest server I have ever had. We ended up missing the show that we had planned. The manager told us she would come talk to us and blew us off 3 times. Oh, and all of the birthdays at our table were completely forgotten.
Food was great! Chef Edwin was awesome! I would definitely be back.
Server and Chef were wonderful. Hostest was not pleasant, welcoming or attentive. No check in or status update after 25 mins when quoted 10-15. Asked if we needed a kids menu, we said yes. She never brought one, and when we asked 10 mins later she said they were out. Bring back lunch on weekends!

Went to celebrate my sons & my moms birthday. Man next to us ended up paying for all 4 of us plus his costing $160+! Beyond thankful!
Absolutely horrible facility, we cancelled as soon as we walked through the door. No Air Conditioning, with the temperature being 100 degrees outside. It was at least 90 degrees inside!
We love Benihana. Food was terrific. Service was great. A bit disappointed in decor / ambiance. For being on the strip, I expected a view or some fun decorating, like the old Hilton used to have - water fall, bridge, the old tiki bird show. Or something. It was just a plain old room which was disappointing.
I made a reservation on OpenTable and we were seated at our appointment time. All of the staff we encountered were awesome. One member of our party had a food allergy and they were very accommodating. All in all we had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone looking for that classic Japanese Grill experience.
Great app to make reservations
We had a1030 pm reservation didn't get the main food until almost midnight. Very slow plus behind the cooking tables it was very dirty with food that people had dropped. They need to sweep up
Hot inside and the server forgot to turn on our grill other then that great tasting food
24th Wedding Anniversary. It was very loud and difficult to hear. It also took to long for our chef to begin our meal. The waitress attending our table had too many table assignments. Yum Yum sauce should not be charged if you have purchased an entree.
Overall experience was much improvement compared to our previous experience a few days ago. The ventilation at this location must be improved. This is a potential health hazard!!
Waitress was not friendly at all and seemed annoyed at any request. She moved slowly and talked to other staff rather then pay attention to her job and customers.
Soup was warm not hot. Salad bowl was half full and lettuce was warm not cold. Had to request more dressing as I think she forgot entirely.
Chef and teppan portion was great.

Our dinners were very good and service was great. Our chef was very nice but his English was pretty bad. Chef used too much butter on the fried rice. Our clothes were covered in grease after dinner from the oil splattering off of cooking surface. The whole experience could have been better but we will definately be back.
I usually go to benihana once per month. This time was my worst experience. The service was not to my expectations, for example excessive waiting to get drinks refilled, empty dishes not being cleared from the table and excessive time to get a fork to eat. The food was also not prepared as usual. Soy sauce was not added to the fried rice which made it very dry. Several of the shrimp were obviously not deveined properly. The mens restroom was extremely filthy and there were no paper towels. A secret shopper desperately needs to be scheduled for this restaurant in order to get the listed problems addressed and corrected.
I did not like the chick that gave us the silverware because as im eating everytime she brought something she would reach over my food instead of the side😡😡😡😡! My kids didn't want me to give her a tip at all..the only reason why i did is because my job i receive tips! The cook was awesome tho!!!
Benihana is one of my favorite restaurants and this was my second time at this one. We had two chefs for our large party. Everything was great but half of the group didn’t love their rice. Every Benihana experience is different in my opinion so it’s still my fave.
Had reservations for 9:30, got there around 9 and still waited about 2 hrs before we sere served. Our cook finally came after we advised the mgr that we wanted to cancel the reservation at that point. Food was only ok, my last time going.

I last ate here in January, and it was so good I went back in June. Again my food was delicious; I love their chicken fried rice (although it is $6, I think) and I had the shrimp dinner. I loved it, and our chef was very funny! Will definitely go back the next time I'm in Las Vegas.
We were visiting Vegas for my sisters birthday and came in to celebrate. I would have to say Adam was awesome!!! He added his own twist to the classic and kept us laughing the whole time!

The waiter did not tell me there was no Restaurant Week lunch special that was inserted in the menu. Then when he charged us extra for sauce, didn’t charge us $20 for the restaurant week special, I asked him about it and he said no lunch on Saturday. But he never said that when we ordered. He said the Restaurant Week dinner was $50, so he was saving us money.
Our reservation was at 7:30, however, we did not get a chef to our table after 8:30. Plus it was my husband’s birthday and they did not celebrate it as other Benihana’s usually do. If you are in Vegas I would recommend going to the Benihana’s at Westgate Hotel, formerly the Hilton.

My boyfriend and i visited Vegas and i had to take him to Benihana for the first time. Waiter was extremely nice and attentive. He was very patient with us, being that it was my boyfriend’s first time in Vegas. We enjoyed the chef. He showed us plenty of magic tricks and before we left another waitress took a free photo of us. We will be back!
Service SLOW to begin waited 20 min for our drink order. We order appetizers and waited 30 min before they arrived. We only had our appetizers for less then two minutes and the chef arrived at the table, from then on it was rush, rush, rush. Made it hard to enjoy the food. I had my scallops for 15 minutes before the rest of our party got their entrée. Chef started out well but then became very quiet. Not as entertaining as in the past. Will try the Westgate location next time.

Our first time there and it was "So Fun"!!! Our waiter was nice but the cook Kyle was so Fun!! He was so entertaining and funny and very experienced with the grill and cooked the food so well. I give Benihanas 10 thumbs up!! Definitely will be returning.

Awful allergic reaction ! when I informed the waitress & chef that they reinforced that they would make sure my food was cooked properly. instead i ended in the ER.
Omg we loce coming to this Benihanas, its sad but true that all the cooks at Sll benihanas have lost there spunk. There boring dont like to entertain or do tricks for the family and thats what your paying for.
However, The Benihanas on the strip by fashion plaza we found a Chef by the name of Zachary he went above and beyond with the entertainment. Friendly, energetic and so funny. I finally found my Benihanas with my favorite Chef. Woooowhoooo thanks for a wonderful time.

After visiting Benihana in California we were excited to come back and even more to celebrate our engagement.
From the moment we entered our eyes were burning, it was stinky and could barely breath. The ventilation was so bad, you cant run a restaurant like that with no good ventilation system! The cook wasn't very awesome as well, and chose to speak Spanish to the other half of the table without considering the fact we don't speak the language (other guests and cook spoke English too).
The waiter served us the bill, totally forgetting about our desert which was including in our dinner order.
Then, at the end, he gave us the wrong check on double the amount we were suppose to pay. It was one entrée with 6 courses, the fillet mignon was very good but the order of how the food got to our plates was not awesome at all. Overall I never wrote negative reviwes in my life but we suffered the entire time!!!
Even if I get a free meal there, I will never set a foot once again in this place.
