This was the worst experience I ever had from Benihana the food was cold so was the soup and the waiter didn’t give our table any water we waited longer than expected for our food to arrive at our table the taste was bland

I had an exceptional meal and experience when I visited Benihana Chicago in March when I took family (two adults, two children), but this recent visit was a very different experience. While the food was good, the chef and the waitress seemed to just be going through the motions and appeared generally disinterested in our party of seven (three children and four adults). While the "volcano" was well done, the traditional train display was very short and uninspired. The knife work was good and exciting, but there was no additional "show" that in the past made this a great experience, such as flipping food into the chef's hat, pocket, or at the guests, and making an "I heart you" display at the end. The chef didn't really engage with us as customers, as I had experienced before. While I don't expect that every visit will be exactly the same, I value consistency in quality and this experience was lacking in the energy and caring that I experienced on my visit during March. The food was good but the overall experience was disappointing. I will not return.

Service was good bit the food is outrageously expensive. While our chef was good, we were expecting the chefs to engage us more with flipping food at us etc but left underwhelmed

Ana and Roman were absolutely amazing to us and gave us the best time! All around every single staff member was so incredibly kind and made sure we had the best experience from the moment we walked in. And not even just us I heard them talking to other tables with nothing but kindness and care. Food was excellent and we all left extremely full and happy! Can’t wait to be back this place is the best for birthdays, corporate dinners, family get togethers or even just a normal dinner! Could not recommend more!

Cruise ship food served in the high street. Expected high jinx at the table that felt tired, over manufactured and stale, it felt like going through the motions rather than really enjoying what you do because you love it. Food was bland and the cocktails were terrible. Our “chef” seemed more intent on trying to impress 2 ladies at the table than entertain or engage with the rest of his guests. Prices are far too high for the lack of quality. We gave it a second chance and again we were left feeling nothing short of disappointed.
