Great dinner in a comfortable space.
We had two different pasta dishes and both were excellent.
Service was very good and tables were far enough apart to ensure conversation.
We will return!
I can't wait to go back! Their options were fresh and seasonal. Started with a great cocktail, homemade pasta for dinner, and amazing dessert.
The excellent service by staff who knew the menu made our dinner extraordinary.
excellent service and atmosphere- pricy, but we knew that coming in
Potions were too small for the pastas
My son had 6 ravioli and was still hungry
Clams in pasta and veggie pasta too small as well
Tagliatelle was a fine size as were the appetizers
Great service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. We our dinner immensely.
Was extremely loud but we were at a table close to the bar and the restaurant is large so farther away may have been ok. There just happened to be an extremely raucous group at the bar that night. Food is excellent.
Our party included an elderly woman who is very debilitated. The staff treated her and us with great
care and impeccable courtesy. It was her birthday and inscribed in chocolate on her dessert plate was
Happy Birthday and her name. She loves lamb and chocolate; her superb dinner included both. The
other two in our party enjoyed pasta dishes excellently prepared. We sat in the bar area which was
quiet with warm, low lighting. This ambiance invited conversation and relaxed dining. For special events
Benedetto is highly recommended.
Superb attention to every detail of our meal. A great culinary experience.
Excellent food and service, I highly recommend it, Guli
Great meal and experience; Christine made it even better!
This was our first time here. It’s in the old Rialto space in true Charles Hotel. Quite good we had a couple of the pastas and they were delicious. They have gluten free pasta available. Very nice space and service. Can be a bit loud when setting next to larger parties. Very deep Italian wine list. One of the very good restaurant options for Italian and for the area. Nice.
I was extremely disappointed with my Benedetto dining experience. Having had a wonderful dinner at its sister restaurant, Julia, and many fond memories of Rialto, I was looking forward to celebrating my friend's birthday here. The timing of our drink and first course was reasonable but the entrees never came. From time to time the server came by to apologize and at one point brought an appetizer of raw fish, which neither of us ate. At the end of the meal (which took 3 hours in total), she gave us some cookies to go and another apology. There are plenty of other great restaurants in Boston/Cambridge and I will opt for one of them next time.
We had a nice relaxing time with great cocktails and wine. The bolognaise was delicious and the strawberry berry gelato dessert was an excellent way to end the meal. Our server was delightful and atmosphere contributed to a great birthday celebration.
The food was fantastic- my boyfriend and I both happened to order vegetarian dishes and they were absolutely packed with flavor. The burrata appetizer, fusilli, and mushroom entree are all delicious. The desserts were beautiful and tasted amazing as well. I’ve been to Benedetto twice now and it’s a well-kept secret (for now at least!)
Best overall restaurant in the Boston area. Great quality and preparation and suitable for those seeking excellent and interesting food, not the usual salted, pickled and sweetened fare so many places are offering to avoid having to work at providing good dishes.
It was a lovely Easter dinner and our first time there! Thank you for the wonderful service!
The ambiance was nice and the wait staff was good, BUT the food was ordinary, the portions were extremely small and nothing special. One appetizer had 2 half dollar bill sized brushetta with a non-descript topping. The four of us ordered pasta, tasted ok, but portions again were very small (and we are not big eaters). Decided to cut our losses and skip dessert, get it elsewhere.
A very enjoyable evening, food varied and creative, and service professional and warm.
We could hear restraint getting louder, but it was happy sounding.
All five of us enjoyed our dinners and coffees.
A wonderful meal all around.
Family coming in from west coast
One of my favorite restaurants. The dishes are always fresh, interesting well prepared. Wine list is awesome. The owners, Michael and Pam are delightful and always make time to mingle with the guests. Can't go wrong here!
Food and service were exquisite. Great wine selection. It's a large space so not quaint but very quiet with lot's of space between tables. Couldn't have been happier with the entire experience.
Good food good environment as usual
Food was great. Our server was very attentive and outstanding. We'll be back.
Food was good, except the prosciutto appetizer, which had a weird off taste. Service was excellent. Not the best value for the money.
How can one do better than this?
The food is without parallel in Boston. The menu highlights so many different regions of Italy that it would take a month's grand tour of that country to find such diversity. Chef Michael is a wonder.
Simply the best Italian food in Boston. A real Italian cuisine, not Italo-American or 'Italian style'
Excellent wine list, wonderful pasta, appetizers and main courses and desserts.
Christine was terrific
A surprise and delight. Welcoming, attractive space, interesting menu and unique & delicious preparation. Excellent, attentive service. All was good.
Superb in every way. All of our meals- Branzino, pasta chicken and lamb all superb!
Food was perfect. Service excellent. Highly reccomend
We were out to eat with our inlaws for the first time.
Positives: The noise level was good for a pleasant conversation. The way that they wine by the glass was served was well done. One dessert was served very nicely.
Issues: The waitress (or bartender) did not follow instructions on my drink resulting in a delayed replacement. None of the entrees was particularly strong (though not bad either).
We think this is the best restaurant in Cambridge and Boston.
This was a celebratory occasion of 6. We had a relatively quiet table. Service, food and ambiance were all excellent.
The only issue we had relates to your policy concerning not allowing a glass of wine from the bar at Henrietta’s table being brought into Benedetto. Was very awkward to have a party guest not be able to bring wine from 30 ft away into your restaurant within the hotel. It was embarrassing to my guest. Left a negative impression for all in our party.
Inventive, delicious food, fantastic wine list, and friendly, helpful service. A favorite place to celebrate special occasions!
Ordinary, overpriced food served by a newbie. Main saving grace was the lovely decor.
Excellent food and service
