Signature cocktails were very fun. All food was delicious.
Their Cobb salad is delicious....bacon pieces were substantial but this salad could have used far more chicken. Delicious dressing.
Food came quickly which made for an easy midweek lunch date.
Consistent delicious food. Everything came out fast. Portions are shareable and generous for the large plates. Service was on point and the ambiance is so charming. Highly recommend.
Great spot! Great menu..
Food was super average not worth the trip. We were super rushed throughout our meal
Excellent in all ways; our server Devon was attentive and funny, the food was exquisite and the ambience convivial. Thank you for a lovely dinner out.
Lovely wine choices too!
Very nice restaurant. Ambiance was good. A bit noisy because its all opened but service was good. A large drink menu is a bit overwhelming but lots to choose from. I liked they had some small plates. I did not try any of the larger ones. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Had read a few "best in Seattle" articles that mentioned Ben Paris so I was eager to try it out. The happy hour menu was limited and underwhelming. The hush puppies and fries were just plain boring and the accompanying sauces were the only saving grace. Probably won't bother going back.
I liked the restaurant very much but the noise level was too high. I would only recommend it if conversation wasn't important to the guest.
Such a nice location, ambience and overall great restaurant. We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch and were treated to the behind the scenes of the bar staff creating gorgeous masterpieces. Taylor in particular was incredibly engaging, just the right amount of banter, friendliness and master cocktail mixer. We will be back!
Delicious food, great ambiance, excellent service. We will be returning.
Excellent and creative salmon dish with corn, delicious fried chicken and wonderful service. Burger-was "okay" which is why it may not be officially on the menu.
After waiting over 45 minutes my drink order never came. I told the server to cancel it and when the bill came was told she took it off the bill. I had high expectations for this restaurant based on other reviews but the service was beyond disappointing. To say nothing of the fact that my boyfriends Bloody Mary arrived in a lipstick stained glass.
I ordered a ribeye and egg, with potatoes. The ribeye was all fat, at least 45 of the steak was just fat. The egg came on top of the steak, which made sense because it covered all the fat that was not pleasant to eat. Service was great, friendly server, the bathrooms are a trek to get to. Ambiance was nice decor and comfort wise.
Lively dynamic cafe with a killer fried chicken sandwich.
We had a great meal on a last minute trip into Seattle! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Great location near Pike Place Market. Overall a great experience.
Service and ambience were awesome, but the food and cocktails were incredible. The chef said “bring it on,” when we asked for a vegetarian, pescatarian and omnivore prix fixe “food tour” for three. And the dishes did not disappoint! So much food, so many flavors, all well orchestrated in terms of cadence and balance.
Better burger at Macdonald’s ... with more meat. Dinner had good flavor but was seriously over salted. Drinks came “no vermouth” with vermouth ... when we mentioned it, we were told it was not possible because “our bartenders are really good” .. but our server still checked with the bartender and came back to inform us that our vermouth infused drinks did NOT have vermouth ... I offered to let her smell it ... lol nope
We made reservations for our anniversary and noted that on our reservation... when the server noticed the cards on the table she asked “ is it a birthday ..? I have walked by this restaurant since it opened and was looking forward to a great experience. We could not have been more disappointed. Solid 1 star
The food was terrific and the staff was kind but they were either understaffed or inefficient. We ordered a bottle of wine and it took SO long to get there. It just shouldn't take that long....especially for an easy bottle of wine. I would recommend it because I loved the food and drinks but would warn people about how long it takes.
Thank you so much for dining with us and thank you for the feedback. I'm so sorry for the speedbump in service. We hope to see you back in soon.
We visited Ben Paris because we were so impressed with the food that the chef served at a special event at the zoo. We were there at Happy Hour since we were going to a concert afterwards. We each had a single burger (doubles are available), and salad (the bitter salad made of frisee with beets and the wedge salad), and my partner had a beer. Everything was tasty. The burgers were made with excellent ingredients and were slightly smoky in taste, apparently due to the smoky aioli and bacon jam. I did, however, miss having a slice of tomato. Salads were also made of good quality ingredients. The place was less than half full, so I marked the noise level as moderate. If it's full, I expect it would be a lot louder. Total cost was about $39 plus tip.
Loved the ambience, cocktails, food and service at Ben Paris. Bartender Jeremy is awesome and made some great seasonal cocktails. In our group we had the risotto and the steak which were delicious, as was the wedge salad and the French fries with oyster aioli.
Our server was really nice. The food was average, but the desserts are good. It is a bit noisy.
Great food. Tiffany was a great waitress! The steak was fabulous. The fried egg was a great touch!
Thank you for the awesome review! We're a big fan of Tiffany as well. We'll let her know you said so! Come back and see us soon!
Food was great my first time and went back and not sure what happened but not good. Will not recommend any longer
Ben Paris is hands down my favorite spot in downtown Seattle - never disappoints. Have been there for brunch, happy hour and dinner. It's a popular spot, so making a reservation is key to getting in during hot hours. That said, staff always try to make it work - they're incredibly attentive, welcoming and fun folks too, no snobs here... Making efforts to remember regulars, sometimes even dropping off 'surprise and delight' treats to the table. 10 / 10 - we need more spots like this downtown.
This makes our hearts sing! Thank you so much for your kind review and we look forward to serving you again soon!
Got a notice we were’ no shows’. SO not true. Rude email. That said, service was amazing. Stephanie especially. ❤️. This email insult 😒
Very good food. Salmon piece was small but quite tasty. Grilled carrots also wonderful, as was the corn & mushrooms appetizer, which my daughter rated about. Mussels were very good and the broth great for dipping bread. Our waiter was a delightful young man with funky black glasses and lots of personality. Never got his name. The only real negative was a very high noise level, something a lot of places deal with.
Thank you for the kind review, Joseph! We'll send your regards to your server, too! We hope to see you in again soon.
Great find for neighborhood folk as well as travellers. [FANTASTIC fries and golden yukons... crispy on the outside, fluffy and dry on the inside... perfection]!
High marks all around. Also, a very reasonable Happy Hour from 4 PM until 5:30 PM.
We're so glad you enjoyed everything! Come see us again soon!
Grade: A-/B+. Solid as brunch gets in Seattle. Not as extensive of a menu (and not organic/vegan/farm-to-table hippy, granola Seattle), but similar to Portage Bay Cafe, but better and with a NYC/East Coast brunch feel. Had the 1.) ricotta pancakes, 2.) steak and eggs 3.) cinnamon roll and 4.) the burger. The burger and ricotta pancakes hit the spot and would recommend!
Thank you for the great review! Come back and see us again soon!
Fantastic, thoughtful service. Lovely, bright space.
We're glad you enjoyed it, Lisa! Come back and see us again soon!
Superb food! Energetic waiter!
We're glad you enjoyed everything!
It’s fine. The food is actually the best part. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, hush puppies and cauliflower Caesar. The risotto had good intentions, but the rice wasn’t properly cooked, so it was dry instead of creamy. Most lacking, the ambiance. We entered at 8pm (earliest we could get a rez) to a half full and overly bright dining room. Our waitress was attentive, but possibly too attentive as she admitted we were her last table. Still not sure why we couldn’t get a rez until 8 considering it was only about 1/2 full. So overall, I’m not sure why it’s getting so much attention. It’s good enough, but there are so many better restaurants in Seattle. Maybe I’ll try it again as a lunch spot where it might be better suited.
Dear ak18, Thanks for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your meal and the service. As for the half full space, we typically get a very busy happy hour and first seating in dinner and a handful of tables must have gotten up earlier than OpenTable anticipated. That can happen occasionally on weekday nights as opposed to weekends when people tend to linger a little longer. Hopefully, we see you in again soon!
We live in downtown and generally avoid the hotel-based restaurants for fear that they only cater to tourists with mediocre food and service. Boy were we surprised by Ben Paris! The service we experienced was amazing thanks to our server Angela and the other woman who filled our water glasses and got us started on some cocktails (forgot her name but she was awesome!). They were both attentive throughout our meal without being overbearing. We started with the cauliflower caesar and grilled octopus--both delicious! Best grill octopus that we have had in quite some time! For entrees we had the steak and crab cake special and king salmon, both cooked perfectly. Lots of tables around us ordered the fried chicken and it looked really good. We will definitely try that next time. We decided to stroll through the small, adjacent hotel lobby on our way out and learned that you could sit in the lobby and order drinks and even dinner from the bar/restaurant. We will definitely do this the next time we want a little more quiet and cozy atmosphere for a change. All in all, a great overall dining experience!
We are so thrilled you enjoyed everything! Thanks for the kind words and see us again soon!
The food is just OK. Kind of like bar food.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. I'm wondering what time of day your were in as we do indeed offer a bar menu during our transition periods. Come on back and enjoy our dinner menu soon!
Loved the French toast it was just what I expected
We're glad you enjoyed it!
Food and service was very good. Noise level very high, hard to have a conversation.
We're glad you enjoyed the food and service, but yes, occationally during peak periods, our little space can get a little rowdy. We hope to see you in again soon!
Great spot with awesome ambiance. The food and drinks are great, plus awesome bar and wall mural.
We're glad you enjoyed it!
The water was hot, the coffee was cold, the food was unremarkable, and the valet took over 20 minutes to park my car. Cocktails were the best part of the evening.
Great timing for lunch - food came out fast and tasty! Service has room for improvement - server missed our fry order and never followed up to see how our meal was or if anything was missing.
