My second time in and brought friends for first visit. Everyone loved it! Food and cocktails exceptional. Devin fantastic, darling server, he took great care of us. There were some timing issues to start but understandably.. you were very busy and all was more than made up for. Will be back soon:)
Excellent food and cocktails - I love this place! We went for the $60 chef-choose-for-us option and that did not disappoint. A bunch of apps, couple mains, and dessert. The cocktails were great as well - inventive, interesting and different.
The service was excellent! The servers were so friendly and welcoming. They even exchanged one of the drinks we ordered because we did not quite like it.
The French toast is mandatory when you visit here. The mimosas and ginger beer drink too!
Wonderful as always. Love coming to Seattle and seeing new, inspiring places like Ben Paris!
We did the tasting menu. Food was good, but was brought out often with no serving utensils and these were meant to be shared among the table. Some of the meals were also awkward to share as presented (for example, one piece of meat on a plate. Couldn't it be cut up to make it easier to serve?). We've eaten at Ben Paris before and have always had amazing food and service. This experience was a little of a let down, but we will be back because the quality of the food is great.
Did the supper club and it was totally worth it.
Food was amazing. My drink was good, but value of drink per cost not so good.
Went this week prior to a show at the Moore. Had the chef’s menu tour. Food was well prepared. Great opportunity to taste items we wouldn’t normally order! Devon was our server and he was great. Beautiful space just a bit loud. Definitely will be back!
Everything was pretty good except for the noise level when we arrived (630 PM), but the cocktail crowd soon left and we could hear each other. The food was great, the recommended wine was excellent and the service was good until we received our bill. My wife and I were eyeing the Ben Paris Supper Club entree when we were considering the menu. Our waitress was standing there and we said we realized this was a whole lot of food. My wife asked if we could split it and we were told "of course, that is not a problem". Yes, it was a lot of food and quite good (we even had some boxed up to take home). However, you guessed it, we were charged for TWO of their $65.00 entrees and this pretty much spoiled my anniversary celebration. No consideration came from the kitchen; and our waitress pointed out the menu price is $65.00 PER PERSON. Just wish she could have been more clear about "sharing". My wife is a very light eater and this whole thing was ridiculous.
Creative cocktails; invigorated New American cuisine, both deftly executed
Everything was v good. Food selections were interesting. Wait staff seemed overloaded with waiting tables AND bar tending. Maybe put another staff on lunches
Service was excellent, and the breakfast food and drinks were tasty. Nice spot for a Sunday morning by the Market.
My friend and I came to Ben Paris for Thanksgiving and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. The food was delicious and not too much, especially given the holiday. Drinks were delightful and the ambiance was low-key yet festive. Best of all, our server, Devin, put a smile on our faces. He was so likable and fun. I'll definitely be back.
Family style Thanksgiving. We waited a long time for our drinks, then suddenly the whole meal appears all at once. Family style means shared dishes not soup salad main course and sides all delivered at once. The soup was brought out about 2 minutes before the rest and it was cold. Many of the sides were also cold. It was weird overall but the food was delicious albeit quite cold.
Thanksgiving 2019 3-course fixed price menu, with wine pairing, served family style, was probably the best Thanksgiving meal we ever had at a restaurant. Every dish was delicious - moist turkey (light and dark meat), cornbread stuffing, celery root soup, pureed potatoes with truffle, sweet potato gratin, an unbelievable cranberry mold, mushrooms, pumpkin pie, the best pecan pie ever, carrot cake. Three different wines, each very yummy. Attentive service. A great meal!
Food was incredible and the service was as well. Went twice in a week, once for dinner and the second time for breakfast. If I go back to Seattle I'll definitely repeat the experience.
Always excellent food with great service and a fun atmosphere.
Great food and great cocktails. What more do you need? Thanks to the wonderful staff and excellent service.
We popped in on the recommendation of a local and were not disappointed. The brunch dishes were fabulous and the cocktails paired perfectly. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll return!
Love this place, so delicious!! Thanks management team for getting me back here!
Everything was just perfect. Will definitely be returning soo.
I honestly debated even writing this review - Ben Paris is SO delicious, I don’t want competition in getting a reservation (LOL). The meal was fantastic and they deserve to be fully booked every night. We went with another couple and split the cauliflower Caesar, the poutine, the hush puppies and the octopus as apps. We devoured it all - tons of flavor and good portions. Three of us got the fried chicken as our main - the server said that’s what they were known for- and it’s the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, with a honey sesame drizzle on top plus a side of expertly seasoned collard greens and Mac & cheese. It was like luxury comfort food! One friend is a vegetarian and she ordered the risotto- she said it was amazing. We finished with two deserts -both pretty awesome but the deconstructed peanut butter cup was mouthwatering. Drinks were great and service was the right balance of attention/ letting us enjoy the meal. We can’t wait to go back!
Enjoyable casual dinner
Excellent food, nice vibe! Great for a pre-show dinner.
Great menu selection, great food and great service. Prices for drinks, especially a glass of wine were quite steep! One can buy a whole bottle of perfectly decent wine for the same price!
We had the sampler which was a great value and great quality. Best part though was the exceptional service that was very responsive to our needs. We'll be back.
Yummy food, plenty to eat. Seated right away but it was difficult to carry on a conversation.
Very noisy -- so a challenge to have a conversation with your dining mates. Also beware the pedestrians on third avenue make stop and stare at you while you are eating.
Great food. I’ve service.
Great atmosphere, lively place. Menu seemed limited and my meal was okay not as satisfying as I thought it would be, I was expecting an explosion of flavors and looking forward to every bite. I would give the place another chance and try something else off the menu.
Fabulous dinner. Great service. Absolutely would recommend and go back!!
Recommended to me by a foody friend of mine! Best Salmon dish I’ve ever had, and I’ve had lots of salmon!! So good, in fact, I’m taking my sisters there for dinner this weekend!!
The staff is exemplary!! From hostess to server and beyond. They go the extra mile--and with a smile! And one of my primary enjoyments of dining out is good service. I have no complaints with the food --there is always something to enjoy--and my needs from the bartender are simple--a nice dry martini that tastes of juniper berries with the tiniest touch of a nice herbal vermouth and a lemon twist. Any more fluff and please don't call it a martini! And your bar delivers (Botanist gin). I would really love a reduction in the noise level. It is a bit much. We prefer to converse rather than text each other on cell phones. I live next door and am so happy you are here. Of course we are thrilled to be rid of the former scourge on the corner but both the State Hotel and Ben Paris are a more than welcome addition to our 'hood.
THE SERVICE THAT MY GROUP RECIEVED WAS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING AND PERSONABLE, however the food DOES NOT justify their price point. This was my ~10th time coming to Ben Paris and it seemed like the food was very "Buffet" styled... I just expected a bit more options and higher quality for $20+ a plate.
The Berger is no longer the same as when you first opened. The meat was awful with gristle.
The service poor and staff not knowledgeable.
Martini was served in a very ridiculous small glass.
Overall it was a great place for a brunch with out of town guests because it was high energy with great service. My dish (grain bowl) was okay. The rest of the table's food looked amazing but I tried a potato from my boyfriend's plate and it was crispy but underseasoned. So I'm going to guess the rest of the food was fine. But it was a super energetic, beautiful restaurant with good service. I'd go back just for the experience.
I think they were understaffed, the check in process was a bit chaotic. Since it’s attached to a hotel it seems like they could find a better place for guests to wait then right in the edges of tables of the seated guests.
The cadence of service was off, appie came after entree for one of our guests. Server was super nice, but the evening just felt a bit off kilter from the vibe of the staff.
Ben Paris was recommended to us by a friend who works in the industry and has a number of Chef friends. We were told it was up and coming and that they loved to eat there when they went out. it was also recommend that we order the Chef's menu (kind of a pre fixe) which we did. All I can say is that it was one great dish after another. the Pasta sheets in duck confit stood out, but so did the Carrots and brussel sprouts to start out. The Spanish octopus and salmon were delicisous, rich and over the top and the dessert took us beautifully through the end of our meal. We were happily extremely full but so glad we came!
This restaurant is in a great location, close to the market, shopping, and Belltown. A good but limited selection of meals. Some of the food we ordered was a little over seasoned. For instance, the mussels with sausage could have been much better if the broth allowed the mussels and sausage flavors take center stage, instead of the salt and spices. It's so much nicer if you can taste the main attraction. The wedge salad was well chilled, however 2 of the 3 sections of the lettuce were very brown and not at all edible. The 3rd section was nicely green, fresh tasting and not over dressed.
The steak was a little bit fatty. It should have been trimmed a little bit more carefully. The flavor was good and was cooked correctly, it was sad the large sections of chewy, grissly fat got in the way of nice piece of meat. The martinis had something added to them that made them have a somewhat sweet flavor which was a bit disconcerting, but maybe that was just the bartender being creative with his/her mixology skills.
This place was great! The food was so delicious and the potatoes are to die for. :) Will definitely visit again.
