Fun place for brunch. Liked the food. Service was a little slow, but friendly.
Excellent brunch options - the fried chicken sandwich with kimchi was awesome! Great location and fun vibe!
A great venue. Menu very very limited. Wine options more limited. I ordered the chicken which was featured in a local magazine as a great dish. I got a wing, a leg and a thigh. 80 percent of what was on my plate was bone. I brought this to the attention of the server and her response was 'next time you order it ask for breast meat'. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING. I WONT BE GOING BACK.
Cannot say enough wonderful things about the dining experience we had. Wonderful waitstaff, perfectly cooked food, cozy/fun ambiance. Can’t wait to come back!
Food was great, service was better. A little disappointed in the pricing of cocktails, but worth it for the ambiance.
We went early enough for lunch so it wasn't crowded, but did fill up. There were 2 of us and our server missed something on both orders. I ordered dressing on the side, and it came pre-dressed, and I didnt have time to get a new one made. My partner ordered steak w/egg and they forgot the egg, so we had to wait. Otherwise, food was good.
We had an excellent brunch - egg dishes with cocktails. The dishes were pretty simple but ingredients were good and very tasteful. The gin cocktail was delicious with quite a delightful presentation. Staff were friendly and attentive. Excellent value.
We had the chef’s choice called Supper Club. About 8 dishes, tapas style, including main and dessert. Every dish was amazing, price was reasonable, service stellar, and the room is gorgeous. One of my best meals ever!
The food is great, the drinks are well made, and the service was thoughtful and engaging. Our server was delightfully human. The aesthetic of the the restaurant is super cute. It seems like the designers were aiming for instagrammable, and it totally is, but all of those sparkling surfaces and glittering metals also make it an echo chamber.
Irene - You sure know how to make us blush! Thank you for your dazzling review. Please come back and snag more photos for us, we'll be sure to tag you! (:
First, I loved our server, she was fantastic! Our group had the "Supper Club" which started out great, but I liked the later dishes less and less--except dessert, which was great! The mains were not interesting, and seemed to be too large amounts of overcooked food, sorry to say. The servings overall were generous, but sometimes less is more, to me.
The food was over salted and our server kept forgetting everything. We had breakfast, the server forget to bring us our coffees, my order was incorrect and the server came back to ask my husband what he had ordered because they had forgotten.
Only offered Prix Fixe menu for New Years Eve which was obviously made ahead and was generic and very pricey. Our first experience here but now unfortunately will not return.
A very casual restaurant at lunch. Open kitchen is nice. Menu very limited. If you want an entree style lunch, this is not the place. Only steak frites available. So the rest is mostly sandwiches, salads.
The hangar steak is not the best cut of meat, I understand, but this steak was just plain tough. The frites were first class - well seasoned, hot and delicious. My fried chicken sandwich had great flavors with the kim chee and pickles, but the breading was a little overpowering. The first wine I ordered was too sweet, and the server kindly took it back. But the replacement glass of a Brut Rose was flat. It was a cold and windy day outside and this spilled into the dining room. I had to eat lunch with my coat on. A restaurant should be warm and welcoming, not cold.
Although this place has received some good reviews, and we were anxious to try it, I will enjoy my meals elsewhere.
My experience at other establishments is that patrons with reservations generally receive the best tables; not so at Ben Paris, we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant (more than half the restaurant was empty).
Half of our orders were prepared incorrectly.
The entire host and wait staff seem completely inexperienced. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is their first service industry job.
This place was a total disappointment.
The pre-theater chef special was awesome. Even with a couple of food restrictions we had great, creative dishes. And more than we could eat. Sitting at the window and watching the people was a fun bonus.
Jerilyn - Thank you for such a wonderful review. The Pre-Theater is an excellent choice, we're so glad that you have enjoyed your dishes. Please come back and visit us again soon! PS. You sat at my favorite table. (:
Great meal with excellent and attentive staff. Would highly recommend this gem just a block from the main Pike Place Market entrance.
christmad menu was AMAZING
We were there for their holiday meal on Christmas and had the a wonderful time. Great food, great service, and great drinks. A definite must.
Hello friend! Thank you for such a dazzling review. Please do come back and visit us again soon. (:
We went for Christmas Eve dinner. They had a great three course dinner offer that night. Tasty prime rib with sunchokes. Good selection of items and I loved the “three martini lunch” cocktail. Highly recommended
Very slow service, food was okay. Had to send back our chicken. Modern space but very bad acoustics
Great trendy hip spot, full of energy. Fresh new ideas. The French fries deserve more than 5 stars, they are superb.
Ben Paris breakfast is best value. The wedge salad came uneven, it had not enough bacon and too much dressing. The hamburger was forgettable.
Great ambiance but the overall food experience not great. Salmon was tasty, chicken a bit dry coffee warmish. Not bad but for the money not great.
What a find. We had matinee tickets at 5th Ave and Ben Paris was just the spot for us to grab a quick lunch. Familiar items on the menu, but with a fun and healthy twist. Our food was delicious and I have a new fave spot for theatre days!
Our server was rude to us and repeatedly passed our table without checking to see if we needed anything. We had empty glasses throughout most of our meal. The French Fries and Tuna Salad were really good. Skip the baked eggs (too salty!!). Nice wine list but don't expect a generous glass pour for the price. The decor is very charming and well designed. If the restaurant is full, you can also dine in the lobby of the State Hotel, which is a beautiful property. Close to downtown shopping!
Restaurant was very loud and the waitress never checked on us. It took 15 minutes alone for us to get our drinks. Food was very good however.
All-around fantastic. The tasting menu made it so easy where we didn’t have to decide what to get and all the choices were spot on perfect. It’s a great value but more importantly the food is very good. My only negativity is that they knew it was my birthday and it would have been nice to have some sort of acknowledgment like a candle in my dessert or something.
I would recommend Ben Paris for drinks and apps, but felt the food was overpriced for what I ate
Everything about it was great!
Music was very loud. Waitress was extremely rude with very few visits to the table and interaction with us. Food was over-priced and did not have good taste.
My second time in and brought friends for first visit. Everyone loved it! Food and cocktails exceptional. Devin fantastic, darling server, he took great care of us. There were some timing issues to start but understandably.. you were very busy and all was more than made up for. Will be back soon:)
Excellent food and cocktails - I love this place! We went for the $60 chef-choose-for-us option and that did not disappoint. A bunch of apps, couple mains, and dessert. The cocktails were great as well - inventive, interesting and different.
The service was excellent! The servers were so friendly and welcoming. They even exchanged one of the drinks we ordered because we did not quite like it.
The French toast is mandatory when you visit here. The mimosas and ginger beer drink too!
Wonderful as always. Love coming to Seattle and seeing new, inspiring places like Ben Paris!
We did the tasting menu. Food was good, but was brought out often with no serving utensils and these were meant to be shared among the table. Some of the meals were also awkward to share as presented (for example, one piece of meat on a plate. Couldn't it be cut up to make it easier to serve?). We've eaten at Ben Paris before and have always had amazing food and service. This experience was a little of a let down, but we will be back because the quality of the food is great.
Did the supper club and it was totally worth it.
Food was amazing. My drink was good, but value of drink per cost not so good.
Went this week prior to a show at the Moore. Had the chef’s menu tour. Food was well prepared. Great opportunity to taste items we wouldn’t normally order! Devon was our server and he was great. Beautiful space just a bit loud. Definitely will be back!
Everything was pretty good except for the noise level when we arrived (630 PM), but the cocktail crowd soon left and we could hear each other. The food was great, the recommended wine was excellent and the service was good until we received our bill. My wife and I were eyeing the Ben Paris Supper Club entree when we were considering the menu. Our waitress was standing there and we said we realized this was a whole lot of food. My wife asked if we could split it and we were told "of course, that is not a problem". Yes, it was a lot of food and quite good (we even had some boxed up to take home). However, you guessed it, we were charged for TWO of their $65.00 entrees and this pretty much spoiled my anniversary celebration. No consideration came from the kitchen; and our waitress pointed out the menu price is $65.00 PER PERSON. Just wish she could have been more clear about "sharing". My wife is a very light eater and this whole thing was ridiculous.
Creative cocktails; invigorated New American cuisine, both deftly executed
Everything was v good. Food selections were interesting. Wait staff seemed overloaded with waiting tables AND bar tending. Maybe put another staff on lunches
