Acting as stewards of traditional hospitality, the dining room offers world-class cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. Serving an array of local beer, spirits and craft cocktails and all brought to you by our friendly staff, the Belton Tap Room is a favorite of locals and guests from around the world.

With an outdoor elevated deck and original 100-year-old fireplace, this is the perfect place for all that Montana summers have to offer. Every evening, our staff lines the balconies to welcome the evening train, just like they did in 1910. Steeped in the romanticism of a bygone era, this is the perfect setting for a special evening - whether you're celebrating an anniversary or the completion of a ten-mile hike.

Belton Chalet is a can’t miss part of a visit to northwest Montana or Glacier National Park. We’ve eaten there multiple times and each meal has been one of our best ever. The chef has created original and delicious dishes—from appetizers to dessert—and the waitstaff makes it a special occasion even if it’s a regular night out. They have a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks so that everyone in the group has a way to celebrate. Pace yourself and leave room for dessert—it’s always fantastic.

Fabulous food and cocktails. We were there twice during our stay. The staff, Tom the manager, Eddie our creative bartender and our excellent, upbeat waitress ( I am so very sorry, her name escapes me), were efficient , friendly and professional. If you are ever in the area do not pass up a dinner here.

Our server Kailee was excellent. Food was excellent. We will be back before the end of the season. I like locally and I sure wish that the restaurant was open for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Their shitosi pepper appetizer was excellent. Their Caesar salad was better than average (I make my own at home and am very particular). Their house side salad was excellent but it would be nice if they could offer some blue cheese crumbles, or better yet, blue cheese dressing. Their specialty trout dish was excellent. Their six-ounce filet is NOT six ounces, rather more like ten+. We did have to return the first steak as it was WAY overcooked. Our waitress didn't bat an eye and correctly this with a perfect steak. Wine was reasonably priced as compared to the food prices. Overall, we totally enjoyed our meals. Tora, our waitress, was excellent. We made reservations but for this time of year (early June), I think you may be able to walk in for dinner. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful dinner again at the Belton, pork special with the amazing polenta was great. Crispy skin on the steelhead, great huck cheesecake. Our server Megan took great care of us. Thanks!

My family ate out on the deck and the staff was very accommodating to adjust the umbrellas so we could enjoy the view without the sun directly in our eyes. Among our group, we ate the trout, the pasta with elk meatballs, and the pork chop. All three were delicious. I recommend the huckleberry margarita as well! The chef makes infused butters depending on the local seasonal ingredients available. At our visit, they offered a saffron herb butter for the grilled baguette that I wish I could have taken home.

The pappardelle and fish were outstanding. Everything came timely. The appetizer, meatballs, and desert were both excellent as well!
