Very nice vegan restaurant.
Excellent food, service and price. A relaxed atmosphere that was quiet.
Love the patio! I went 2 Sundays in a row and had a fantastic experience both times.
Good vegan option. Service was a little understaffed but friendly.
Overall it was good. I love the concept but was expecting to be wowed by the food. The Fennel flatbread was amazing. The Brussel sprouts were delicious. The Caesar salad was a no go. Lack of taste and creativity there. The Maki watermelon roll was tasty but basic. The toastada was flavorful. No complaints there. The fries were basic as well. I think the ketchups was supposed to be the highlight of it but those weren’t that great either. I think this is a good spot for vegans but the vibe and some of the food was subpar.
We enjoyed our food and overall experience and look forward to visiting again soon !
We love hearing that you enjoyed the food and can't wait for you to visit us again!
We eat vegan not exclusively but several times per week and five of us tried much of Belse's menu. It was good but not great in creativity and execution.
The outdoor space is shaded and we could imagine it being good on a hot day or at night.
The checkout app was terribly kludgy so it took a lot of human intervention and time to pay.
Belse was better than we could have imagined. The food was impeccably prepared and incredibly delicious. We will be coming back frequently and telling all of our friends. DFW needs more plant-based cuisine like this!!!
We are so excited for you to share us with your friends! Hope to see you back soon!
Great food, ambiance needs some work. Feels like a corporate cafeteria and not a yummy vegan restaurant.
Really tasty plant based food! Will definitely return.
We are so glad you thought our food was tasty! We have added a few more delicious dishes to the menu and would love for you to come back and try them!
Best upscale vegan restaurant I’ve ever tried! Everything was better than I expected. Will definitely eat there again!
I really did want to like this place. Dallas needs more vegetarian/vegan restaurants, and this one looked promising. However, nothing we ordered was really very good. We got four appetizers -- tomato caprese salad, crispy cauliflower, focaccia bread, and ketchup flight. The bread was the only good thing. The cauliflower was very bland; there coating was seemingly just breadcrumbs with no spices, the cauliflower wasn't quite cooked enough, and it needed salt, and the pineapple aioli was weirdly bland and it didn't make it taste any better (I dipped one into the balsamic vinegar that came with the focaccia, and it tasted better). The waiter told us which of our three ketchups was bad (blueberry), ok, and best (truffle) and he was right. It was weird dipping French fries into what tasted basically like fruit jelly. None of the other appetizers were worth writing home about either. Entrees were panko-crusted piccata, pupusa, and the crispy sandwich (which was basically the picatta on a bun). Again, no strong flavors, and nothing worth ordering again. And it seemed like everything we ordered was fried, even the tomatoes in the caprese salad, One of our party ordered the strawberry-watermelon daiquiri, and it came in a very thin tiny glass for $8! On the plus side -- outside seating. Perhaps some of the dishes we didn't order are better, and the brunch menu looked more interesting, but alas, what we did order didn't pique our interest enough to try this place again.
Birthday and guest chef was present
Awesome time at their first brunch seating! Food was absolutely delicious, I had the potato and brussels sprouts enchiladas.
Tonight was super busy due to local Chef Takeover, Fineapple Vegan. Sad that they ran out of the Katfish Filet and Katfish Po Boy otherwise good.
Vegan food is awesome! So good. The Belse burger amazing!!!!
Yummy food, cool decor, friendly service!
Excellent experience. Everything was delicious and we had great recommendations from our server, Austin, who was absolutely hilarious and really made our entire visit. Thanks! Definitely get the cookies for dessert.
I highly recommend Belse Restaurant, the food was great, nice atmosphere, the service was awesome.
Tonight was our first visit to Belse Restaurant, but it will not be our last! The food was wonderful. The Cashew Brussel Sprouts appetizer was the best I have ever had. The Caesar salad was excellent. The piccata and flatbread entrees were both delicious. For dessert we shared the cookies and mousse and both were tasty. As good as the food was - the service we got from Austin and Silvy was even better. We highly recommend Belse Restaurant!!!
This is the best Vegan meal I have ever had. The piccata is amazing and the crispy sandwhich is out of this world. I love this place and I hope it stays around for a long time.
The service and food was amazing. I high recommend going to an event or celebration.
Amazing birthday plant based dining with my non plant based friends, delicious!!!
Belse is great! The food and wine was delicious. I will definitely go back when I’m in Dallas again.
Highly recommend! This is the go to Vegan spot in Dallas! Food was amazing! We had the chips and guacamole, burger, flat bread and amazing chocolate chip cookies. Fantastic! Staff was also amazing!
We loved it! It looks beautiful and has great indoor and outdoor seating. Our waiter Austi was great and the food was delicious. It was a little pricey for some more simple items like burgers and Mac and cheese and wasn't a ton of food, but it tasted great and we had an awesome time! Great vegan food!
The food was good overall. I would not get the flatbread next time we go. It was dry and kind of bland. The belse burger, cookies and milk, and queso were delicious! The cookies were the best vegan cookies I've ever had! Can't wait to try more. Oh, and the ambience was nice expect the music. It didn't match the atmosphere. I'd highly recommend lo-fi or chill hop type music on low. That would make the ambience perfect. The other thing that confused us was the restroom. There was a mixed gender bathroom from what we could tell. As a woman, I don't feel comfortable going to the restroom with men.
Everything we tasted was great. I love crispy foods. The Crispy Cauliflower was A++! I was very impressed with the crispy 😋. The pineapple aioli was amazing, we asked for more but they said they were out. I thought that was strange only 3 hours after they had opened 🤔. Even the Cashew Brussel Sprouts had a little crispy on them! Though I felt they were "extra" with the oil, the taste was satisfying. The micro-greens on the Fennel Flatbread added a freshness that was surprising. Overall the meal inspired me to return to try other menu items 👍
I would absolutely love to see more options on the menu.
Outstanding food, customer service and atmosphere!
My experience was amazing. The food was excellent and the best plant based food in Dallas that I have tried!
I’d recommend everyone try this place out even if plant based scares you... so much flavor in each dish. We will be back and back. The service was too notch. I’d highly recommend BELSE!
Food just wasn't that good, nice place friendly staff but the food was very bland. Vegan food is normally creative and very flavorful and packed with bold veggies. Not to mention kind of expensive for the portion size. For it to be upscale they cheaped out on the furniture. I also wasn't comfortable with the bathroom situation there is only one.
I would go again but the menu needs improvement but I understand they just opened. I hope it works out because there is a need for an upscale vegan restaurant.
Little Pine was my favorite LA restaurant & deserved “Restaurant of the Year”, in LA. Pre shutdown it was THAT GOOD! While I didn’t expect Belse to be LP, “high end plant cuisine at its finest” from LP’s owners that have “traveled the world” this was NOT. Not even close.
Belse was a HUGE disappointment & I’m actually embarrassed this is what they thought the Dallas vegan food scene was lacking & needed. It’s not.
MENU: it was NOT cohesive & unlike the menu at LP they relied heavily on prepackaged vegan frankenfood & out of season ingredients, including watermelon, on their limited menu.
APPETIZER: I ordered the ketchup flight or basically two orders of undercooked & under seasoned fries with “dips”. Anywhere else this dish would have been considered a side & priced accordingly.
MAIN: I ordered fennel flat bread & tomato caprese. I held the fake sausage & throughout the rest of dinner was scraping daiya cheese from my teeth. This is NOT acceptable nor necessary based on the superior commercial brands available. More importantly, why wasn’t the cheese made in-house. Next, tomatoes were decent, but lacked real flavor. Of note, if you have a plant based menu, your produce better be exceptional. Belse’s was not.
DESSERT: I ordered cookies & milk. I specifically inquired if their oat milk was fresh vs processed. They claimed it was fresh. Doubtful as I make my own & have had fresh “milk” from restaurants & Belse’s was so bad I spit it back in my glass.
SPACE: Unlike LP it’s not warm, inviting, unique nor does it fill its space. It’s like LA’s Gracias Madre met a club entrance inside a bank. I create spaces & experiences, this was lacking in both.
PARKING: requesting you to park in a dimly lit, unattended parking lot w/ questionable characters wandering around at night is odd. Closer lot, too.
OVERALL: Belse imported LA prices, but this was NOT a LA dining experience... and nowhere near Little Pine. Shame because Dallas could have used a GREAT vegan restaurant.
Excellent experience all the way around. Delicious food.
We aren’t vegans, but this meal made me question if I should be. The chocolate chip cookies were the best I’ve had in a long time.
This is one of my favorite Restaurants in all of Dallas /Fort Worth. The food is incredibly delicious and all of the staff is welcoming and friendly. I cannot emphasize enough how great it is. I highly recommend this restaurant if you look amazing food. Its very clean!
