Great, fun vibe. Beautiful decor. Food was solid. Every dish was good, but nothing mind blowing.
Food is TERRIBLE! Really terrible. Everything we ordered was just not good at all.
This was our second trip to Bellota and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious, their G&Ts were incredible, and the service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back!
Great from start to finish. Service was attentive. Wine sommelier was helpful and suggested a great value from wide ranging list. Lots of tapas choices, so we never got to the paellas, which I remember as great from a prior visit. Larger plate of lamb shank was really tasty too.
It was unfortunate that they were severely under staffed and they had to tell us that as soon as we sat down. Also, the power went out and they couldn’t serve anything other than drinks and some cold items. We had to make a different dinner arrangement. They may need more time to get used the post-Covid situation and properly hire enough staff they need or not allow that many tables to be booked when they know they are seriously under staffed. The post-Covid transition can be hard and we all know that so I wish they’d adjust their operations accordingly so we all can have more relaxed better experience.
The power went out while were waiting to order. The server took our order but was ultimately only able to bring appetizers. We bought a bottle of wine thinking we would have a meal but given the power outage we ended up going elsewhere. There were no apologies and nothing was on the house. We were quite disappointed.
Good food, ambience and excellent service.
Enjoyed going out for the first time in a long time. I had been wanting to try Bellota since before the pandemic and shutdown began. I was finally able to go. The food did not disappoint, especially the potatoes! That was definitely a highlight as was the jamon iberico. Wish they had some gluten-free options for bread (surprised a restaurant in SF doesn't offer GF options anymore) but other than that it was great. The space is very nice as well. I would go back and would probably go with a larger group - this restaurant seems more geared towards larger groups.
Love'd our server! The wine and food were great.
Indoor or outdoor, both cute and comfy.
lots of guests having a great time
Cool place, nice vibe, friendly and attentive staff, overall a very good place. Food wise could improve, pinchos were good but tortillas and paella valenciana were average. I would go back and try something different next time.
It was a fun experience. As expected is it was pricey-but worth it for a special occasion.
I went there for my birthday dinner with 8 friends and was disappointed in our service. Our waiter was inattentive and unnecessarily sarcastic.
Very good food and wine. Service was excellent and my only complaint was that the octopus was slightly over cooked. Flavors were managing for everything tho.
great food, nice portions, good sangria, good desert
Best dinner of 2021 *chef’s kiss*
The servers were slow to approach and take our order. Three people sat down next to us and had drinks prior to us and we were there for close to 10 minutes. ?! Homophobic bartender? Went to the three pretty girls first?! Never had that experience before but it was palpable.
Bellota delivers every time. We love their selection of sherries, vermuts, and cocktails. Tapas and paella were perfect. Service is on point. So glad they have survived COVID and already looking forward to our next visit.
The menu isn’t great unfortunately. I have eaten here before and food was great from what I remembered. This time was very disappointed at some of the choices on their menu. I didn’t try the paella so there’s that. Friendly staff. Great ambiance.
We usually have a paella but yesterday we had tapas and the main courses. The Cordero and the Costilla were beyond amazing! Erin always recommends the best wine and Davide made the evening so enjoyable! Love going back to Bellota!
the service were exquisite, the food were devine & we had a great time.
Bellota was pretty accommodating about having our well-behaved children at an early dining time; most of the staff were very friendly about it.
Beautiful place, just stunning. Wish they had a few more food options, menu feels a bit limited and a touch overpriced for what you get.
PERFEC SERVICE!!RAFAEL WAS AMAZING!! VERY ATTENTIVE, BUSSER/RUNNER, GREAT!! THE FOOD WAS GREAT!! PAELLA 🥘 VALENCIA SÚPER EXCELENTE THE FLAVOR, THE BIG PRAWNS 🦐 SO DELICIOUS, CROQUETAS SO GOOD!
PERFECT DRINKS!! THE MICAELA COCKTAIL 🍸 AMAZING!! THE HOST
VERY NICE!! THANK YOU BELLOTA!!
I must say, the bellota dish was pretty skimpy. 2 thin slices of jambon, for $25? the menu pix i saw showed we got gypped but everything else was just lovely.
Food was delicious and people were friendly and attentive
Wonderful evening at Bellota - great cocktails, and the tapas - especially the jamon - were delicious. Can't wait to return!
Nice restaurant, very good service. I was not that impressed by the food. It is based on Spanish classics but that is where the comparison ends. It's "somewhat Spanish" but mostly an invention of the chef. California meets Spain. I'm sure that there are those who prefer this but, to me, it was just a mishmash or, at best, a weak comparison to the real thing. On top of that - prices are through the roof. Certainly not good value.
Food is good but they got our bill wrong. When we asked our waiter about the bill, his reaction was not surprised. He said something like “I thought it looked off.” Don’t understand why he would still present us a wrong bill.
Interesting menu, excellent food and great service, including good info on wines from Spain and Canary Islands.
The menu is fantastic. It’s shareable tapas based items are great for a group of course, but you can pick a few plates for a charming date as well. Their wine menu is expansive and covers all of the regions in Spain. We went during the era of social distanced yet indoor dining, so a little of the ambiance was lost for that setup (as compared to my visit in 2019). Overall a great restaurant.
All dishes are thoughtfully prepared and utterly delicious! Fantastic choice for those who eat meat & potatoes, gluten free, veggies only, non-meat eaters --- yes, Bellota does it all without making special arrangements. We are particularly fond of the Sherry and wine list, however the sangria is always a temptation.
Our waiter was amazing!
We sat outside...cold and windy that evening. But we should have sat indoors. Elegant.
Excellent food and service. Perfect for date night.
We had a great experience at Bellota! The food was incredible and our waiter was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and he made it special.
safe practices in place for indoor dining. very attentive and friendly staff. very good paella. generous wine pours.
The Paella was excellent. The house jamon was delicious.
The food and the service were outstanding. One of our first experiences back inside a restaurant and it could not have been better.
