Will be back for sure. Beautiful place and awesome food.
Loved everything from the food to the ambiance to the service. The tapas were all delicious and moderately priced, too.
Excellent- from the Sangria, Tapas, Paella, and the steak (incredible). Service was terrific. Great evening!
F ound this restaurant on OpenTable recommendations. It’s our first night in SF and we planned to play it by ear, so I have to say we got pretty lucky. I was already impressed walking into the restaurant by the decor and the space itself. They had a huge open kitchen with the jamon hanging and displaying a huge paella pan. They don’t do a big menu, but it’s really hard to decide between the items, because everything looked so good. Starting from our manchego cheese and Bellota plate, the dinner was nothing less than impressive. We had 3 tapas plates (pork belly, beef short rib, prawns) all something to write home about.and since it was our first visit, we had to do the classic Valenciana paella (chicken confit, shrimp + chorizo). Finished off with the churros, that leche sauce deserves to be sold as a take home item. Overall great service and amazing food. Oh! And the sangria wasn’t too bad either!
Bellota continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in the city
Great food wonderful staff. Great Spanish wine list.
Nice ambiance, good enough paella, could be better.
Food was good but our reservation wasn’t honored. We were sat at the bar whilst having booked a table.
Best paella I have found in SF so far. Extensive list of high quality Spanish wines. Can get a little noisy when busy.
Most of the dishes were tasty but overpriced, service was lacking finesse and personality
The plates we had were close to outstanding. To be outstanding the flavors and textures would be just like I've enjoyed in Spain but the Boquerones were what I was craving and they hit the spot indeed! The space of the restaurant is big and open quite thrilling yet typical for the new San Francisco experience. The Mikaela cocktail is outstanding in its balance of flavors.
A true SF gem. Fabulous food, wine, cocktails. We were transported to Spain. Made extra special by the incredible service. Knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff and table service. I've been to Bellota several times and it only gets better with each visit.
Great dinner and excellent service.
Always a wonderful dining experience at Bellota. The Valenciana paella was excellent along with the tomato salad. Everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared.
Amazing food, service and vibe. Highly recommend.
Service was mediocre, the food good but very expensive.
We were a group of 5 and our waiter did an excellent job of steering us to an adequate and excellent order. Everyone was happy with our choices and quantity.
Great food great service.
We loved our waiter, Gary everything he suggested was perfect. If we didn’t like something g he made sure to find something we did. The paella’s we had were wonderful. We split two. The G and Ts were delicious. The peppers and salads were amazing
And of course we had dessert!
Arrived and got seated right away. Waiter was on the spot with a great sense of humor and correct recommendations for the appetizer to go along with the Paella that we ordered. Ambience was perfect and come back again.
Great food and excellent service.
Perfect for group and special occasion !
Service was poor and our paella was overcooked.
When we were seated, there was a rather long interval to our drink order was taken, but once we ordered our food, it all arrived quickly in a blizzard, making us feel rushed.
The bus person was removing the plates of my co-diners while I was still eating, which seemed rude to me.
It seemed the service was more focused on the needs of the restaurant and not on the experience of the patron.
The appetizers were great but the paella arrived rather burnt onto the bottom of the pan and the octopus was overcooked.
Overall, this was not an experience I am looking to repeat.
Very poor service. Extremely slow to bring out drinks, take orders, etc...
Food was very good, authentically Spanish. Service was excellent too.
if you love taps and paella this is your place. Wonderful for a date night or even a group.
The service outstanding. The food outstanding! The ambiance just lovely. That sums it up!
Great, fun vibe. Beautiful decor. Food was solid. Every dish was good, but nothing mind blowing.
Food is TERRIBLE! Really terrible. Everything we ordered was just not good at all.
This was our second trip to Bellota and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything we ordered was delicious, their G&Ts were incredible, and the service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back!
Great from start to finish. Service was attentive. Wine sommelier was helpful and suggested a great value from wide ranging list. Lots of tapas choices, so we never got to the paellas, which I remember as great from a prior visit. Larger plate of lamb shank was really tasty too.
It was unfortunate that they were severely under staffed and they had to tell us that as soon as we sat down. Also, the power went out and they couldn’t serve anything other than drinks and some cold items. We had to make a different dinner arrangement. They may need more time to get used the post-Covid situation and properly hire enough staff they need or not allow that many tables to be booked when they know they are seriously under staffed. The post-Covid transition can be hard and we all know that so I wish they’d adjust their operations accordingly so we all can have more relaxed better experience.
The power went out while were waiting to order. The server took our order but was ultimately only able to bring appetizers. We bought a bottle of wine thinking we would have a meal but given the power outage we ended up going elsewhere. There were no apologies and nothing was on the house. We were quite disappointed.
Good food, ambience and excellent service.
Enjoyed going out for the first time in a long time. I had been wanting to try Bellota since before the pandemic and shutdown began. I was finally able to go. The food did not disappoint, especially the potatoes! That was definitely a highlight as was the jamon iberico. Wish they had some gluten-free options for bread (surprised a restaurant in SF doesn't offer GF options anymore) but other than that it was great. The space is very nice as well. I would go back and would probably go with a larger group - this restaurant seems more geared towards larger groups.
Love'd our server! The wine and food were great.
Indoor or outdoor, both cute and comfy.
lots of guests having a great time
Cool place, nice vibe, friendly and attentive staff, overall a very good place. Food wise could improve, pinchos were good but tortillas and paella valenciana were average. I would go back and try something different next time.
It was a fun experience. As expected is it was pricey-but worth it for a special occasion.
I went there for my birthday dinner with 8 friends and was disappointed in our service. Our waiter was inattentive and unnecessarily sarcastic.
