Bellmónt Spanish Restaurant

Food and service was mediocre. We walked in and it took a while to get acknowledged. There was only one server who’d doubled as the host for the entire restaurant. Food was slow to come out. The rice in the paella was undercooked, the dish was missing salt, the patatas bravas were the worst I’ve ever had. The sauce tasted like store bought tomato sauce, and the aioli was disappointing. Will not be back.

This was a great find! Truly authentic and delicious Spanish cuisine. The seafood paella was to die for. Great tapas and great wine list!

Sergio is always accommodating and friendly. Great wine list. Best ham iberico I’ve had! Melts in your mouth. You will not be disappointed.

Everything was great! Service, food, environment. The Iberico ham and Manchego cheese appetizer was amazing and the paella was delicious. We plan to call ahead the next time so we can order the suckling pig.

We had not been at Bellmont before so we chose to take advantage of Miami Spice to do so. Bellmont should not participate in Miami Spice; it is a waste of money for them. For an appetizer I chose the "serrano ham mollete and swiss cheese topped with quail egg." It consisted of some molten cheese with a see-through slice of over-cooked ham on Publix sandwich bread. The small egg was good. For entrees, my wife chose the corvina and I ordered the quail. They were both tasteless, in spite of the heavy sauce that accompanied the quail. The sauce was ok but the quail itself --like my wife's corvina-- was tasteless. For dessert the torrija reminded me of a doughnut. The wine was kept at proper temperature but was slightly overpriced. Service was efficient. The place was half-empty on a Saturday night, which speaks volumes. Now we won't go there again; not for Miami Spice, not for the regular menu.

This is a very interesting restaurant. Tried it with Miami Spice deal. Very yummy for all courses. This is though a true Spanish restaurant in that you will not be rushed but neither will they. Not a place to go quickly - count on two and a half hours for a leisurely dinner. Owner told us that they have flamenco shows a few tunes a month.

I lost count in how many times we’ve visited the restaurant, and every time gets better, the food is delicious (now the Miami spice menu is excellent ) the ambient, the live show (the owners Sergio and Claudia are very friendly , special )

We tried this place for the Miami Spice special. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of the dining options. Everything was perfect.

We went for the Miami Spice - Saturday lunch. Since I was on a diet and with not enough time before heading out to the movies, we could not afford the calories nor the wait of the 3 different Paella's available in the MS menu. Maybe next time. So the low cal options were the "revuelto de vegetales" for the appetizer and the Wild Salmon for the entrée. The bottom line, the Salmon was excellent and well worth the 23$ Miami Spice lunch price. The service was very professional and with a delightful turron ice cream desert (yes I know!!!!), Bellmont earns a very well deserved 5 star rating for the Miami Spice Lunch for a Spanish restaurant. Constructive comment: the revuelto appetizer was a bit skimpy, basically green peppers with a couple of spoons of scrambled eggs and some croutons. Perhaps the other appetizer option "chicken rolls filled with ham/cheese" would have been a better choice.

This was our first time at this restaurant. There were eight of us (4 couples in our sixties) and only one other table was occupied by an elderly gentleman. The Maitre’d/waiter,while not actually rude, was not very welcoming (unusual, in my experience, for a Spanish restaurant). Attempts at engaging him in conversation or asking questions about the different dishes were met with terse responses. We will not be returning to this place.

Terrible service and over priced pre fixed menu on a Saturday night for the Flamenco performance which started 30 mins late and ended early.

It is not easy for me to write a negative review, but this place was pretty awful. The service was terrible and when we asked a couple of times for updates on our food/ appetizers/ etc. it was very clear that neither our waitress nor the manager on duty cared at all about our experience. At one point I informed a waitress that there were no towels in the bathroom and when I returned later, no one had bothered to clean or restock the bathroom. I'll emphasize that the restaurant was not busy at all. I used to work in restaurants so I usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt. The food could have redeemed the place, but it didn't. The paella had no flavor at all and everyone at our table had to add a ton of salt to even make the dish edible. We had friends eating in the same restaurant on the same night and they said their experience was equally awful. Also, it was expensive. Stay away.

Went for Mother’s Day brunch and the buffet was really good! The buffet was $39/person and they had a good selection of different meats. The lamb was very well seasoned and juicy, however could have been served a little warmer. The sangria was sweet and full of fruits. Overall a good experience! Will recommend in the future.

Sergio and his wife are the best. You feel so welcome from the second you sit down. The food is outstanding and the wine selections are top notch. Definitely try the black hoof iberico, paellas, chorizo with goat cheese appetizer and whole roasted pig! My favorite place in miami!

So we decided to try this out. The waiter spilled red sauce on my wife's white outfit, barely apologized. I mentioned that our chicken, which we were supposed to cook ourselves on a hot stone, was already overcooked and dry when we received it and the lady didn't really say anything and picked up the plate. Note that the second half of our meal we never heard from our original waiter again. Not that I wanted a discount or anything, which I didn't, I just wanted them to at least try and make up for it. I mean, I showed her how dry it was by picking it up and tapping it on the plate, then pulling a piece apart like it had been dried out like jerky. Everything else we cooked ourselves so I give myself 2 thumbs up for that.

The only nice thing I can say is that they don't mark up their wine prices too much. I never really leave reviews but we were so disappointed I figured I'd take the time to write one.

It was great, food was magnificent. Service was good and very hospitable.

Is not the first time we visited the restaurant and we have always had a great experience, the service, the food, the flamenco show was excellent.

The food was very good, except the octopus which was so so.
We had lunch at 2:00 pm. The place was empty, just the two of us. It’s a very pleasant and cute place. Service was excellent. We had the place to ourselves.

Charming family restaurant. Sergio is very professional and attentive. So is his wife and staff!!! Great Spaniard food. Try tenderloin which is a filet and papas bravos. You cook it on a volcanic stone.. delicious

Service was extremely slow. They had a big group of diners & the place was full to capacity, but in that case you need more servers. It was a mission to get the waitress’ attention because she was so busy.

We traveled to Barcelona and northern Spain just a year ago: dinner tonight made us feel like we were back there! Truly authentic food. Place was very quiet, and we were served by the owner! Potato bravas, Iberico ham, paella Valencia- all outstanding! We will definitely return.

Went with the family for a Saturday lunch, everything we ordered was truly authentic Spanish cuisine, cooked to perfection both taste and presentation! Only place in Miami to have an authentic Spanish cochinillo! Highly recommended!!!

The best paella in town. The croquettas were creamy and delicious, too.

Service was excellent. Food was not. My churrasco was very very chewy- I ordered it medium and could not eat it. In their defense they offered me anything from the menu and took it off my bill but I thought I ordered an easy item but I guess it’s not that easy to find good tender churrasco. My husbands paella was excellent. Service was first class.

If you are looking for authentic Spanish food, this establishment is the place to go. Food and service are excellent. I am very glad we found this Spanish gem hidden in Miami.

Excellent food, better than the average tapas restaurant.

What a treat! The food is unique and delicious. The owner who is also the chef and last night was our waiter is warm and friendly. We were lucky to enjoy this experience on a quiet night.
