The most authentic and delicious Spanish food in South Florida. This is our go to spot for special occasions and it always delivers a great experience. The wine selection is expansive, well curated and reasonably priced from a value perspective. They recently added outdoor dining which is fantastic and allows you to enjoy their prime location on Miracle Mile. The service is personable and attentive but may be a little slow...items like paella cannot be rushed so your patience will pay off and your tastebuds will thank you. After all, this isn’t a restaurant to rush away from...enjoy the nice respite from the city and comfortable surroundings.
We were excited to try the paella. Unfortunately, it was not savory at all. Service was slow as they only had one server available. On a better note, they follow covid protocols. The outside setting was nice.
We arrived at 8pm. There was only 1 waiter for the whole restaurant and only one person in the kitchen! We were a family of 10 including 2 small children. The first tapas arrived at 8:55pm. They completed the order by 9:50pm!
The kids where asleep and the appetite of the group was gone. The food remained on the table when we decided to leave. The check was $879.00 including 18% for a "service" that we never received !!
Slow and lots of errors.
Horrid food and awful service !!
Never again will I go to this place
Food is good, however they need more employees to have best service.
The whole restaurant smells a lot, probably they don’t have a good hood in the kitchen.
Service has to improve! The Cochinillo was well cooked but flavor was missing
Very poor service. Only 2 waiters and hostess waiting on tables. Miami spice menu incomplete and very poor food quality. Was a total disappointment. Easiest way to loose 4 customers.
Great Saturday afternoon lunch. The owner took care of us. There were photos of his family and shared his story about them. The food and wine were absolutely delicious.
Great food and charming service, got to try the Pata Negra ham.
It was a great location,‘good food ! We tried Miami spice... good sanitation and COVID19 care ! Price fenomenal. Excellent sangria. Outside seating. But the waiter although service over all And he pulled a one man show... impressive unfortunately a little
Rude...
Outstanding service in spite of the limitations related to the quarantine
Everything here is delicious! Must try the torrija with turron ice cream for dessert. Everyone was kind and courteous.
I enjoy the paella. Very tasty. I ask them I don’t like it watery or wet and they make it to perfection!!
Over price food. $38 sangria. That was basic fruit punch!!
I will not recomen this restaurant.
When we inquiry about wine the manager told us to get the more expensive bottle.
Great place! Found this place at the last second and glad we did. Great food, atmosphere and service. We will be back again!
I went for a nice night we were never told about the night specials. We had to pour our own wine. The service was horrible. We spent over $200 .00 for two. We ordered the Bacalao a la Visvaina we wanted it with rice the waitress never gave us any information that it did not come with rice. We wanted the white rice she told us we had to wait 25minutes. We had reservations at 6 pm no one was there when we got there. Other patrons had the full menu reviewed and were told about the specials. Will never go again horrible just horrible service shame on you,
Very authentic Spanish cuisine, the proprietor is there himself and they have a really nice wine list!! I keep going back and every time I find something new to savour and enjoy!
Excellent food with friendly staff.
I highly recommend that you take the server’s recommendations as they were terrific
I had lunch on a Sunday with my wife and daughter. It was our first time at the restaurant. We had a great time and the service was wonderful. The food is delicious. Will recommend to everyone.
Thank you so much for taking your time to leave us such a positive review. Do not miss our live shows and dance floor music on weekends. Best Regards, Sergio Catalina Bellmónt.
The food was excellent.
Excellent service. Very authentic spanish food.
On each visit the ambience was very warm, as was the hospitality of Sergio, the owner, and all his staff. The food is authentic and excellent. There is an excellent selection of wines which are very well served . The overall experience is warm and comfortable, reminiscent of being in an excellent restaurant in Madrid.Very special is the Flamenco performance on Friday evenings- fine guitar, contes and excellently performed bailes. Bellmont is highly recommended
Dear Herman: Thank you so much for your kind words, and for supporting small business like us in the Gables. Kind Regards, Sergio Catalina Bellmónt.
I absolutely enjoyed trying out this place! It's authentic Spanish cuisine with a flair and the flamenco show was the icing on the cake. We loved everything we ordered, from the mixed tabla, to the fried garbanzos, to the spinach and cheese croquettes! Great to come with friends or with the family...I highly recommend it and can't wait to return.
What an amazing experience we had at the Belmont restaurant for Thanksgiving Dinner. We were recommended by a friend to dine at Belmont for dinner I call to see if they were open for Thanksgiving and they were able to reserve our table. Amazing service the moment we walked in and the food was not short of being spectacular. Very nice live music as well. I will be back to the Belmont for future events.
Kind regards,
Leo Aka a very satisfied customer
Great food and service! Never disappoints. Sergio and staff are very attentive to all my needs. Food is delicious. I love the hot stone to cook my own filet. Highly recommend.
Great food and service, would definitely go back.
Although I’ve eaten at this restaurant before, I wasn’t very happy with their specialty which is the roasted small pig. Have tasted better. The service was excellent and the music fantastic
Delicious food w great service.
We had the miami spice menu, the service and the food was poor. The restaurant was full and they don”t have suffecient servers to attend clients.
Generally speaking it was worthy, specially because it was a special ocassion
The food is really good but highly priced, and though the waiter was really nice they are slow and not very well organized
They took too long to prepare a Tabla mixta and wanted to serve the entree a minute after we got it and while we still were waiting for the tomato bread
Then my partner’s entree was too cold
The flamenco show was spectacular. The Miami Spice menu was delicious. Service was excellent.
Server was very nice but food was ok. They charged extra for bread!!!!
The food was terrible. We wanted to try the Miami Spice menu and were greatly disappointing. We ordered the cheese croquettes, solomillo, and crema catalana for dessert. The food was simply tasteless, the croquettes were cold, and the dessert took over 30 minutes to come out. We did have an excellent sangria. The servers were nice and we enjoyed the flamenco show; however, I will not be returning and do not recommend it if you're looking for a good meal.
Excellent food and service
Service was the worst in any of my many dining experiences. The bad service ruined the entire dining experience. I believe it was one of the owners who was taking care of all of the diners in the restaurant, no serving assistants and no food runners. It took forty minutes to receive even water. The two people that were were taking care of all of the guests were extremely pleasant though which did make it bearable. Perhaps since our first dine was during Miami Spice, and most likely will be our last, the owners were just not prepared for the amount of guests that would dine this particular day. We will not be returning but wish The Belmont the best.
We went to enjoy the Miami Spice menu. We arrived early before the crowds and found the restaurant empty except one other party. The staff immediately seated us. The owner himself, Sergio, came to explain the menu guiding us to the best choices and he did not disappoint us. We got the giant white bean and clam dish and the Gouda croquettes. Both were good but the bean and clam dish was outstanding! For the main dish, we got the lamb and pork roast. Both were tender and moist with nice portion sizes. Desert was crema Catalana. The sugar topping was melted right at our table. Very creamy and spot on! Loved every minute of our meal! By the time we left, the place was bustling. We will come back again!
Been here before for the Flamenco show and had a great time. This time the show was not as good and although the employees seemed well meaning they clearly lacked training and experience the service was slow and non attentive and the the food not hot. We were told twice there was a cook that did not make it into work. Unfortunately really underwhelming today.
Dear Raul, thank you for sharing your dining experience with us. Unfortunately, one of our cooks had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of the dinner service. Fortunately, his emergency was solved and he was back the following day. This is life and I personally approached every table asking for their patience due to this unforeseen circumstances. Most of our clients understood the situation. I am sorry you were disappointed.
It was a Thursday night and we were the 2nd of 2 full tables in the restaurant that night, so it was pretty empty. We chose the Miami Spice menu ( App- Gouda croquettes/ spinach and cheese puff pastry, Entree- Pork Tenderloin, Dessert- Creme Brûlée/ Homemade Cheesecake) and the best part was the Pork tenderloin. Everything else was not the best. Service was good.
One of the best, if not the best, Spanish restaurant in Coral Gables. Family owned, with the owners always on site.
