Great food, service and prices. Owners are very nice.
Outstanding food quality, great personal service.
We went on Mother’s Day 2019 hoping to enjoy, and we really did not do it. Most of the buffet trays were almost empty and never refilled. We waited for 45 minutes to get our meals and when they were brought to us they were not as expected. The Paella was not almost burned, not abundant , and it tasted bad. My husband, who has a good appetite, refused to finish it. The service was poor and they even charged us with a 20% service charge. They have a lot to learn in order to be successful, specially in Miracle Mile where you can find lots of restaurants and cafes that give better quality service. We really felt disappointed.
I am sorry you didn't enjoy your visit with us. I hope you give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations. Kindly note the service charge was clearly stated in all our platforms, email confirmations and reservations made for this particular day. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to personally address your issue and compensate you for this bad experience during your next visit. Thank you, Sergio Catalina Bellmónt.
I came this afternoon to have lunch at this restaurant, expecting to have a nice Spanish lunch based on the reviews. We felt ignored by the staff since we crossed the door, it seemed they didn’t care about two people arriving to their restaurant. We decided to have the buffet menu. It was the worst decision: the dishes in the buffet area were bad , cold and everything felt like leftovers. The paella was just nasty yellow rice with no flavor and no meat left on it.
The already careless staff took more than half an hour to bring the main dish, which was a tiny piece of meat with French fries.
Overall , the food was bad and service was worst.
I asked the bill, which was wrong as they were charging us around 70 dollars more than they should (for 2 people).
I got a bit frustrated and asked the waitress to talk to the manager.
He came by with a very defying attitude and threatened me to kick me out of the restaurant for complaining (which I think as a customer was my right). I asked him to fix the bill and remove the 20% tip that was already included it. I wouldn’t tip for such a bad service.
Ironically, when the owner of the restaurant was threatening me, he asked me if I was Peruvian... which I didn’t understand why.
He asked me not to go back to his mediocre restaurant , which I wouldn’t do it anyway.
We didn’t receive an apology but just a horrible reaction from such man.
Definitely a place not to go.
I'm sorry you didn't like Mother's Day buffet brunch. I took care of your bill issue, immediately corrected. We replenished buffet continuously, and cooked three paella pans, 75 servings, 10:30AM til 4:00PM. Your bad manners and aggressive, hatred racism comments were the ones clearly advised were not going to be accepted at our "home"; you screamed and yelled and were disrespectful with every staff member. This attitude will not be tolerated from anybody in our restaurant. Sergio C. Bellmónt.
Only saw 2 waiters for the entire restaurant on Mother’s day. The buffet choices were just paella and some side dishes. Service poor. Bad impression from the beginning. We stood up and left.
Dear Manrique Iriarte: Your table actually entered the restaurant and left right away without communicating it to nobody of our staff. We were actually 5 servers plus myself in the dining area at your time of arrival. I contacted you on the phone provided right after without success. We were replenishing all the buffet items continuously since early in the morning. I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience, and hope you visit us and stay next time. Thank you, Sergio Catalina Bellmónt.
Food and service were outstanding. We were so happy we booked two more times on the spot!
Food, service and wine were excellent! We will be going back!
Short of staff...
No tienen idea cómo organizarse. Con esa comida debieran tener un servicio de primera.
Great food and lighting, verynice the Peruvian owner
Have you been to Spain? No need! Just visit Bellmont. The experience is genuine and the food and wine are exquisite. Have the rum cake! You can then die happy :)
New Years Eve was a great experience, good drinks and good food, however a little chaotic to start and some of the dishes could have been better in this prefix 6 course meal. The hams and cheese plate was delicious. Followed by a smoked salmon tartare which was more of an avocado tartare than a salmon tartare, the ratio of salmon to avocado was not right. Then an incredibly grilled to perfection piece of octopus tentacle that was served incorrectly over a bed of croutons. Main entree I chose was their signature oven roasted cochinillo, however the piece I got had nearly any meat and was not to flavorful. Desserts rocked the evening, an orange filled with turrón ice cream and a cup of arroz con leche, both delicious. Overall a great experience minus a few food glitches. Would repeat the visit to order the solomillo on stone grill.
Great place to enjoy authentic SPANISH CUISINE. The owner himself is there to attend to guests and it is a warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended for any casual dinner and any special occasion.
We had a horrible Christmas Eve dinner. Food was cold - lamb chops were almost raw and cold - instead of cooking they brought a stone to heat them up at the table. The “service” was so disorganized it was an embarrassment to the establishment. Oh and the peeling paint and plaster around the windows above our table- well that decor led you to wonder if this is what we can see- what must the kitchen look like?!
Save your money- go somewhere else
What a disappointing Christmas Even dinner. The food was cold: my date had the lamb chops which he had to heat over the hot stone of my very small and tasteless filet mignon. I had to send back the Patatas a lo Pobre to get re-heated. He couldn't eat his mashed potatoes because they were tasteless and stone cold. In short: I will NOT be going back anytime soon. Never again!
Fantastic Place. Great Food and Reasonable Price.
Food is excellent! Price are reasonable. Owners are present and attentive at all times. Its very fun to be with a group of friends/family. Great for Celebrations, birthdays or anniversary. I have been twice already and going back soon with a group of co workers.
Outstanding place. Food quality superb. Ambiance chic perfect. Service excellent. On the pricey side but worth every penny. Definitely returning to this place. I highly recommend it.
Great restaurant, amazing service and very good quality!
To much ligh and very regular food nothing really special...
Dear Yusleydys: I am sorry you did not enjoy your experience at our restaurant. Your party of three ordered several items, all were finished, even your to go order of our parrilla on the rock. We had three servers and two managers in the dining floor area, service was impeccable and on time; I personally approached your table several times, no issue was mentioned with service, wine, desserts on the house or other. We hope you give our restaurant another try. Thanks, Sergio Catalina Bellmónt.
The food was excellent. Service was good, as expected, very friendly. Price is reasonable. I definitely recommended.
This is the best Spanish restaurant in Miami. We pre ordered the cochinillo . One of their specialties. It was the best one I had ever had. The croquettes were crispy outside and soft and delicious inside. We also had the black paella, the seafood paella , the lubina and the white trout. We all agreed that the food and service was superb. . Cant wait to go back again
. coming back again.
Service and food was horrible ..... I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. When we got there kids were running around making noise. It was horrible
Great hosts with authentic Spanish food. We enjoyed their evening of Flamenco and will be back.
Food and service was mediocre. We walked in and it took a while to get acknowledged. There was only one server who’d doubled as the host for the entire restaurant. Food was slow to come out. The rice in the paella was undercooked, the dish was missing salt, the patatas bravas were the worst I’ve ever had. The sauce tasted like store bought tomato sauce, and the aioli was disappointing. Will not be back.
This was a great find! Truly authentic and delicious Spanish cuisine. The seafood paella was to die for. Great tapas and great wine list!
Sergio is always accommodating and friendly. Great wine list. Best ham iberico I’ve had! Melts in your mouth. You will not be disappointed.
Everything was great! Service, food, environment. The Iberico ham and Manchego cheese appetizer was amazing and the paella was delicious. We plan to call ahead the next time so we can order the suckling pig.
We had not been at Bellmont before so we chose to take advantage of Miami Spice to do so. Bellmont should not participate in Miami Spice; it is a waste of money for them. For an appetizer I chose the "serrano ham mollete and swiss cheese topped with quail egg." It consisted of some molten cheese with a see-through slice of over-cooked ham on Publix sandwich bread. The small egg was good. For entrees, my wife chose the corvina and I ordered the quail. They were both tasteless, in spite of the heavy sauce that accompanied the quail. The sauce was ok but the quail itself --like my wife's corvina-- was tasteless. For dessert the torrija reminded me of a doughnut. The wine was kept at proper temperature but was slightly overpriced. Service was efficient. The place was half-empty on a Saturday night, which speaks volumes. Now we won't go there again; not for Miami Spice, not for the regular menu.
Amazing experience - the owners are fantastic and made us feel right in Spain!! We loved this place.
Great location in Coral Gables. The food was ok. It was the Miami Spice Menu so our choices were a little limited. However, they had a show with a live band. The singer was spectacular! We LOVED the entire show. I wish they had a full bar, but the coffee and dessert made up for it. Overall, we loved it. Can’t wait to go back!
Food is always good and the owner very attentive. The turron ice cream was delicious!
This is a very interesting restaurant. Tried it with Miami Spice deal. Very yummy for all courses. This is though a true Spanish restaurant in that you will not be rushed but neither will they. Not a place to go quickly - count on two and a half hours for a leisurely dinner. Owner told us that they have flamenco shows a few tunes a month.
I lost count in how many times we’ve visited the restaurant, and every time gets better, the food is delicious (now the Miami spice menu is excellent ) the ambient, the live show (the owners Sergio and Claudia are very friendly , special )
We tried this place for the Miami Spice special. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of the dining options. Everything was perfect.
We went for the Miami Spice - Saturday lunch. Since I was on a diet and with not enough time before heading out to the movies, we could not afford the calories nor the wait of the 3 different Paella's available in the MS menu. Maybe next time. So the low cal options were the "revuelto de vegetales" for the appetizer and the Wild Salmon for the entrée. The bottom line, the Salmon was excellent and well worth the 23$ Miami Spice lunch price. The service was very professional and with a delightful turron ice cream desert (yes I know!!!!), Bellmont earns a very well deserved 5 star rating for the Miami Spice Lunch for a Spanish restaurant. Constructive comment: the revuelto appetizer was a bit skimpy, basically green peppers with a couple of spoons of scrambled eggs and some croutons. Perhaps the other appetizer option "chicken rolls filled with ham/cheese" would have been a better choice.
Bad service, not so good food and very expensive
We had reservations got there on time
We were not greeted had to ask for bread and it took forever for the food to get to the table and they forgot to order one of the kids chicken nuggets
I doubt we will be back
This was our first time at this restaurant. There were eight of us (4 couples in our sixties) and only one other table was occupied by an elderly gentleman. The Maitre’d/waiter,while not actually rude, was not very welcoming (unusual, in my experience, for a Spanish restaurant). Attempts at engaging him in conversation or asking questions about the different dishes were met with terse responses. We will not be returning to this place.
Terrible service and over priced pre fixed menu on a Saturday night for the Flamenco performance which started 30 mins late and ended early.
Amazing ham and cheese platter. Awesome service. Great Spanish place without the noise of the other area Spanish restaurant.
