Belli Osteria - Brooklyn
Belli Osteria is a Brooklyn staple, serving up classic Italian food in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Everything at Belli Osteria is homemade, including all of the pasta and bread. Ingredients are locally sourced and organic, and the restaurant is known for its burgers made from grass fed Angus beef in the nearby Vernon Valley Farms.
The menu at Belli Osteria includes lunch, dinner and brunch options. Diners can enjoy a specialty pizza, appetizers such as grilled polenta and entrées such as ravioli and Bolognese. Brunch includes caramelized French toast and vegetable frittata, and any meal can be complemented with a drink from the wine or beer menu.

Four of us went for my birthday dinner. Nice local vibe atmosphere. Primo apps could use some work. Calamari was lukewarm and soggy. Arancini was good. Special fish entree was also good. By far the best were the Secondi pastas, especially the Bolognese and the Black (squid-ink) pasta with crab meat. Drinks and wine were terrific and very affordable. Definitely returning.
It was a fantastic brunch for parents weekend. Everything was great but I think our server left while we were still sitting. We asked for another coffee and the bill two times. Didn’t ruin the great food! Banana waffles were a dream and the Norwegian eggs Benedict was fantastic! Bottomless mimosas as well!
Great pasta and food
Solid food, delicious homemade pastas, good but not great cocktails, nice local vibe, friendly server and reasonable prices. Will definitely return.
The server asked the kitchen to make us a special that was advertised for another night and they accommodated. Meal was awesome and at a good price. Nice neighborhood place.
A FREAKING MAZING
On a whole it was solid. Happy hour offerings were good. The prices made it worth while being we have better Italian in Austin.
Great food and drink prices! Everything was timely and correct, and the service was excellent. Great place for our group of six!
I was looking for a place close to home for my birthday dinner and found this cozy place right upstairs from the exit to the Clinton-Washington Avenue station on the C line. It was Saturday evening and although there were patrons, there was plenty of space. The staff are incredibly pleasant and the service was quick. All of the dishes were great and my party left there with very happy stomachs. And as a bonus, my mother was thrilled to see one of her favorite stars, Malik Yoba sitting right next to us another table. I am constantly amazed at how much Brooklyn has changed over the years and had this place been around several decades ago when I was in high school in the area, my friends and I would have tried everything in the book to eat here. Highly recommended.
i visited because a couple of my fav youtubers come to eat here all the time
i loved it and would highly recommend this to anyone in the area
Went there for girls night. We had a great time! Would definitely recommend
Great local restaurant, good food and service
I went to Belli Osteria bc of a Friend's Birthday. I usually do not like Italian dishes unless it is My own. I had Trout, Mash Potatoes, and Roasted Asparagus. It Was Deliciously beyond My expectations. Very Impressed... Our Server Sergio was so Patient and Very Friendly. The food Was Excellent and the Price was Right! We were Fortunate to be there at the same time as Malik Yoba (Actor) We were told Our Meal was taken care of by someone who did not want to be known. Well we figured it was Him. Eating at Belli Osteria was a Win Win For Us. Excellent Food and a bill that was paid for lol Thank You Belli Osteria and, Thank You Malik Yoba!
Belli has the BEST bottomless brunch deal I've ever found in New York. The food is incredible and wildly affordable!
Cute place... good food.... Wasn't thrilled with the service.
Had a large party (8) and we really enjoyed our food. Everything was fresh and portions were thoughtful. Our server was good and we were really pleasantly surprised by all the excellent flavors. Will be back!
Food and service was excellent. We went for brunch. The French toast was so good we ordered an extra order for the table to share! I would absolutely recommend this place to others!
Good pasta, simple
Good wine and good price
Great neighborhood place
Belli Osteria has my friend and I’s hearts - from the service to Grandma’s Bolognaise, you’ve got a gem on your hands!
The waiters were very patient and gave us jus true right amount of space
Always excellent food and outstanding service. We never leave hungry!
The food at Belli was, as before, fantastic. Fresh, flavorful pasta dishes, at a reasonable price. And a simple, very reasonably priced wine list. A great neighborhood place. I've now been twice in less than a month, and plan to go back again soon.
The service was good overall, but the fettuccini was a bit bland and very greasy. The butternut ravioli was very good
My family was visiting with my nieces (4 & 2) and we dined at Belli Osteria for dinner. It was so refreshing to have space while dining, it was perfect for my nieces, we sat in a booth on one side, chairs on the other and it was perfect for us. The food is fantastic, homemade pasta, and wonderful prices. Highly recommend for dinner!
It was warm and the food was good. We go there often.
Such amazing food! And lovely hosts
Cute atmosphere but food and service was sloppy. Could just be a Brooklyn thing but other than the lovely owner the crew was straight whateversville folk. The food was underseasoned. Steak came in three pieces. The chimmichura tasted like lawn clippings. Weird seasoning in sautéed kale. Soup was definitely out of a box or can. But the whole experience was meh. Not awful but certainly not good.
Great food at a great price. Service is very hands off, which is good and bad. It can take a very long time to order a drink or additional item. Charming space. Would definitely go again just for the amazing value and quality.
Great food and drinks! My mother hates fried food and even she had to admit that their fried calamari was delicious! She went back the next day with her friends.
I was expecting to have delicious Italian food, the flavors were exaggerated to the salty and spice side which is not Italian at all, very heavy sauces on the pasta, and over fried for the calamaris, their taste needs to be balanced and get lighter.
Sorry to hear your meal was not up to your taste buds. I recommend you order the homemade pappardelle with short rib ragu or the fettuccine with mushrooms for a traditional taste. The others like the black linguine with crab meat has a kick for customers who enjoy a tangy pasta. Normally the calamari doesn't come out over fried, but I will look into this. Our calamari is coated with a special arborio rice flour, so it may be crispier. Thank you again for you visit hope to see you back soon
