From the team behind Spoon and Stable comes Bellecour, a French bistro and bakery located in the heart of downtown Wayzata. Named after the bustling town center of Place Bellecour in Lyon, France, the restaurant borrows classic cuisine and charming design from the storied gastronomical capital of the Western world. Chef Gavin Kaysen’s lifelong love of cooking is deeply tied to the food and people of Lyon. While most culinarians are privileged to call two of the town’s most famed descendants, Daniel Boulud and Paul Bocuse, professional inspirations, Gavin also knows them as dear friends and mentors. Their stories are as much a part of Bellecour as Gavin’s own. Valentines dinner a day early. Delicious and wonderful. Waiter was super helpful and gave great recommendations. Food is top notch. French cuisine with all its richness and beauty.

This was an enjoyable meal in a place with a great atmosphere. However , we were a bit disappointed by the fact that we were seated at 813 for a 730 reservation and did not receive our food until 930. We had made the reservation over one month in advance so this level of wait was very disappointing. Our waiter provided excellent service the food was excellent. And to his credit he did offer us complimentary dessert to apologize for the wait time on the food. I believe he was unaware on the wait time we had for the table. Superb service. Prompt and solicitous, never overbearing. My cod was perfectly prepared. The mussels excellent.

Special romantic dinner to celebrate the passing of dry January. Food was exceptional, as usual. Service great. Love their French wines. This is such a special, welcoming place to eat and drink. Some of our favorite foods: endive salad, mussels, duck. Every meal we have here is memorable.

My salade verte was overdressed but the rest of the food was amazing! Loved our server, Jason. great place to celebrate my birthday and to be on a FREEZING winter night. Wish it weren't so far from St. Paul!
