Cannoli Bella Vita
Sweet ricotta and marscapone cheese w/ pistachios, cherries, chocolate, and a splash of Sambuca Romano
lightly fried calamari and zucchini with spicy marinara
Really my issue was the service. It was poor. The server was slow slow slow and it wasn’t busy. The wine was old/stale. The Chardonnay was sour and the Prosecco was flat. The food itself wasn’t bad. Although I’ve never heard of putting pesto in Alfredo sauce or on fried mozzarella. And I go to a lot of restaurants. Definitely would not recommend. Also the location was a pain. Easy enough to get to but coming back to the town of Sedona it was more of a hassle. I wouldn’t waste my time with this place
Great service by Joanne. Steak and other foods cooked to perfection. The big chairs inside give a nice privacy!
This was our 1st and sadly, only time to dine here, as we'll probably never be in Sedona again. Bella Vita was very busy for a week night and as are most restaurants these days, short on staff. Thus, everyone, including the aging owner, were wearing many hats. And keeping every table well taken care of. The food was wonderful and authentic Italian! I wish we could dine here frequently!
We loved the pasta and service. Excellent homemade pasta and very responsive to allergies.
What an amazing dinner. Craig was outstanding in accommodating us. The place was slammed due to inclement weather for the outside patio but they handled it professionally. Once we were seated, Jesse, our waiter was calm and attentive. In fact gave us recommendations on where to visit. We loved the town of Jerome! The food was fabulous. Well done…..
This is the worst “Italian” food we’ve ever had. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. I had the Tutto Mare. $40 it had 2 shrimp, 1 scallop 3 mussels 2 clams and a couple of squid rings on mushy pappardelle pasta. My husband had Vongole di Limone it came with the pasta in a big mushy clump for $30. Awful. We ordered wine the waiter brought the wrong one, of course it was more expensive. The waitstaff seemed VERY overworked and stressed out. The decor was tacky. $250 for the 2 of us. Yuck. There are so many lovely delicious restaurants in Sedona I can’t understand how this place stays in business. Spare yourselves.
Great food and superb service. Nice outdoor seating area. Overall a first-rate experience.
Absolutely awful. Don’t waste your money!
We were very excited to try this restaurant as it was highly recommended by OpenTable. We were unfortunately very underwhelmed by the food. While the patio seating was nice and the musician playing had a great voice the food was just sub par. The salmon was over cooked though we specifically asked for it to be under cooked. The gravy on my lamb shank had a horrible flavor and the risotto was not even edible. For a restaurant to sell risotto as one of their main sides for each entrée it was quite weird that they have not mastered it. Truly, was the worst I have ever had. Again, we enjoyed the patio and music, great ambience, but the food just really ruined the night. I will say my lamb shank was incredible tender, so kudos for that, but it was ruined by the gravy.
Food was delicious hostesses were great. Our server was okay….I expect to hear this reply at Macdonald’s but not somewhere as nice as this…reservation was for 7, our server, when asked how she was just looked at us like 😳I am so tired we are so busy….not the most attentive either.
Drinks were poor. Service was also slow
This restaurant isn't what it appears so don't get deceived by the pictures. The staff is as good as Denny's but dressed up. Not worth the price and cheesy look. Also they have a really bad singer who dresses like a cheesy 80s Prince / James Brown and plays karaoke with a horrible voice.
Horrible food. Very expensive. We will not be back.
Great Italian food. Home made pasta made all difference. The Italian soda was outstanding. Is truly recommend this place.
So we almost didn’t go in after seeing this offensive sign out front. Appreciate the intent of encouraging kindness to servers but the political commentary was offensive (not to mention inaccurate based on latest data about why people don’t want to work in the service industry). Anyway, we tried the restaurant despite this and the sever was the best part of our experience! Food and drinks were fine but prices were not commiserate with the experience (and were $5-7 more per item than shown on website and Open Table). Sadly, it honestly felt like no one wanted to be running a restaurant, least of all the owners.
Wonderful food. Our server Brett was very attentive. Enjoyable dinner.
Celebrating my son‘s promotion. Beautiful place great surroundings ambience is out of this world. Great service food was delicious. For a quiet intimate dinner this is a place to go
Really exceptional, comfortable, retro Italian restaurant. Outside dining outstanding. Inside feels like a friend's home dining room. Delicious meals are served here.
Excellent restaurant with authentic food and excellent service.
We decided to go there for our 7th anniversary and we’re not disappointed! Our server, Brett, was on it! Great recommendations from him re all aspects of our menu. Really enjoyed our meal, ambience, and the excellent service Brett provided. Can’t wait to go back!!!
Rating service a 5 because they are very understaffed. They let us know that up front. Server worked her best and was running all over the place but things like drink refills wine and check took a long time. Food came out pretty quick. That said food was just average. Hope they can get some additional support because I believe when fully staffed things will get better.
Good but not GREAT. had music tho which was awesome
Great food and service. Mike went above and beyond for his customers!
Great waiter from Prescott. Short ribs and oso bucco were wonderful. We ended up indoors at a very quiet and romantic table.... great food..
Excellent service, food was great. Outdoor seating was very comfortable. I wish we ate a little later so we could enjoy the music.
Bella Vita Ristorante has had an incredible make over. King-sized, comfy chairs have been added to the Upper dining room as well as new patio furniture and great heaters to enjoy the live music during or after dinner. Where you can dance under the stars. The entrees were delectable. Truly a hidden Sedona gem.
Great friendly service. Food was fantastic. So many options to choose from. Absolutely loved the dining area we sat in. Beautiful. Incredible experience all around. Owner stopped by to check on us too!! A very nice touch.
Absolutely a wonderful meal. Great and very knowledgeable of the menu staff.
AMAZING!!! We loved Donna! The food was delicious and the portion sizes were great!! Would definitely go back!!
We enjoyed the ambiance as well as the very tasty meals. Our waiter was attentive & entertaining. We would go again.
Friendly efficient service. Perfect patio weather. Everyone enjoyed their dinners
Our experience was pretty terrible from start to finish. We sat on the patio and my husband was seated in a wet (cushioned) chair, which he didn’t realize initially but was left with a totally soaked rear-end. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, along with some margaritas. Drinks came out promptly and were fine but it took almost an hour to get the mussels. The restaurant did have a sign posted giving fair warning that they were short-staffed so please be patient. We would have been fine waiting the hour for our appetizer had our server actually ever come back and offered us more drinks, but he didn’t. So we just sat there with empty glasses for about 40 minutes waiting. Mussels finally came out and after eating a total of 5, we realized the rest were completely closed shut and inedible. Took another 30 minutes for the server to check on us before we could even tell him the appetizer was largely inedible. Still no more drinks (although we ordered glasses of wine when the appetizer was delivered, same time we ordered our entrees). Waiter did check in once after and apologized that the entrees were taking so long. We said that was okay but reminded him we had ordered wine. He said, “Oh, I figured you wanted it with your dinner.” That would normally make sense, but when you have customers who have literally been sitting at the table for almost 2 hours without any edible food, wouldn’t you think to ask if they’d like their drinks while they wait?! Entrees finally came. I ordered the carbonara with gluten-free pasta. When it came out it appeared to have the regular linguine in it. I double-checked with the server that it WAS gluten-free and he assured me it was. I started to feel sick within about 10 minutes and stopped eating it, not to mention it was VERY salty. My husband said his meal was also overly salty. I am more than willing to be patient if you are short-staffed, but the food wasn’t good and it was a terrible experience from start to finish.
Joined out of town friends for dinner. Meal was wonderful and our server Mike did a great job.
We had a reservation but couldn’t be seated right away due to staff shortages. They repeatedly warned us that service would be backed up. However, in reality the service was just fine! Everyone just seemed stressed about it.
What a place. The food was nothing short of incredible. Amazing wine/beer/liquor selection. The patio ambience was so nice, and we were there on a Saturday night so there was live music. Our server was great and personable! This is my new favorite spot in Sedona!
Live music every Friday and Saturday night; we got lucky with an amazing guitar player who entertained us all evening. The courtyard is very cute; we were glad we got to sit outside on such a nice September evening.
We were extremely excited to try this restaurant. We had reservations at 615pm and were seated outside. We had appetizers and some great watermelon sangria. About 10 minutes after being seated, a singer was on stage at a LOUD VOLUME and we could barely hear one another talking. Dinner took forever. Our food didn't arrive until 830 pm and all literally tasted the same with a HEAVY hand with lemon seasoning. Ruined the entire meal. The restaurant seemed very short staffed and we waited, and waited, and waited for our bill and dessert. The bill came, $360 for the four of us?! Not at all worth this price. Very disappointed. Server, Jesse, was the highlight of this establishment and the only redeeming quality. The host was RUDE!!!
Food was horrible
Great meal great service
