Croutons in the ceasar salad were soggy. Usually they are nice and crunchy. Everything else was wonderful!!!
We were quite disappointed. The food was below average. The pasta was spaghetti and not linguini. Appeared to us they made one or two sauces and applied it across the menu of dishes. Not fine dinning as they advertise themselves. Not sure how the restaurant has had such good reviews. The outdoor seating area needs a remodel. Must admit the meatballs were pretty tasty. But after visiting other restaurants in Sedona - where the food quality is much better with the prices being the same, it is not worth the drive
Pleasantly surprised is an understatement. When I made the reservations I was grateful to get a prime dinner time reservation spot, especially when I saw how highly rated this place is on TripAdvisor... When we were driving to the restaurant we were starting to get a little nervous, especially when turning into the resort. We were thrilled upon opening the restaurant door and being greeted by the maitre' de. Our server Brett was incredible. He welcomed us and made sure we understood the menu... the food was delicious! I had the veal marsala and it was one of the best veal dishes I've had in my lifetime! My wife loved her chicken parmigiana. Our kids enjoyed the adult portion of the fettuccine alfredo and the kids' portion of the spaghetti and meatballs. We will be back next time we are in Sedona.
Great food, amazing service. We will be back next time we are in Sedona.
We enjoyed the music and atmosphere on the patio at Bella Vita. The service and the food is always excellent. Best Italian food in Sedona.
My husband and I have been loyal customers at Bella Vita. The food is outstanding and also patio divine. When they have entertainment, that is an added plus. Favorite place to dine.
Excellent old school Italian dishes done well
Service excellent. On my negative is location and atmosphere very dated. If this place was closer to Sedona center with an atmosphere more inviting would be packed every night. The only reason I would not go back is location and atmosphere
We dined with young children on a weeknight during the Covid outbreak, which meant that they were a few other diners. We dined on a very nice patio, had excellent service and were surprised by the high-quality food and wine offerings available from their full menu. Prices were quite reasonable, Making it a great value. We would definitely eat there again.
The service was poor. Waited over 20 minutes. Had to ask who our server was. The pasta didn’t taste home made. The shrimp was overcooked. Definitely not worth the money. Overpriced! Very disappointing.
Sammy was wonderful. So grateful that we were able to go and sit outside. Thank you for everything!
This is a quaint, romantic restaurant. It's small and cozy. We enjoyed our "Early Bird" dinner and look forward to a return visit the next time we are in Sedona. On a cooler evening, the patio would be inviting. There is live music on weekends.
We had a wonderful time at Bella Vita Ristorante. We went on a Saturday and there was live music (which was absolutely wonderful) and the food was just as amazing! Great staff and the Banana Fosters was incredibly delicious! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a romantic atmosphere and delicious Italian food!
Our server Donna was exceptional. Food was outstanding.
Excellent food selections, great atmosphere, quality ingredients, friendly service. Highly recommend!
Nice excuse to drive a couple miles out of West Sedona to this low key resort setting, very courteous, personable staff, nice surprises in the calamari, the rolled eggplant dish with good side veg and angel hair pasta, just my hubby would have liked one more meatball. Dark, and lots of room to social distance.
Friendly staff, nice sitting area, and the food was delicious!
Great food, service, ambiance, and live music! I’ll go again.
The food was good, but we had higher expectations due to the higher price.
Great seafood pasta. Outdoors was great. Great place to eat
Great food and live music!!!
Excellent food, service made this a worthwhile trip out of Sedona. Great music from dan vega + reception was warm by maitre d. Very special and would recommend highly.
Really a hidden Gem great food. A little bit out of town but worth it. Everyone is attentive and polite. Osso Buca is outstanding
Had a wonderful meal and festive time at Bella Vita. Lasagna, veal piccata all prepared perfectly and tasted great! Celebrating out friends wedding anniversary. Very nicely done.
Overall pretty good experience. Just some standard etiquette things that need some polishing. We ordered a bottle of red wine and our server named Jessica brought out the bottle already opened without presenting the bottle to us for confirmation & did not open it in front of us. Then poured both glasses half full for us to sample to make sure we liked it (should have been a tiny 2 oz pour in one glass only). Then poured the glasses each about 3/4 full (way too full). Also then used her hand to put the cork back in the bottle (something typically never done) even though we still planned to consume the rest. Throughout the meal she never once came by to pour the wine in our glasses as we were consuming it. This is not about red carpet treatment, just very standard protocol and etiquette with regards to wine and serving it to a customer. She was a very nice person, just needs some work in that area. Overall nice and quiet and relaxing restuarant.
My family enjoyed a wonderful dinner two nights ago. We all appreciated the mask wearing and social distancing policy as well as having our temperatures checked before we were allowed in. The food was fresh and delicious and the presentation was very nice. The staff was very professional and our waiter very attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return on our next visit to Sedona.
Quaint Italian restaurant off the beaten path with delicious food! The servers were very friendly and attentive and even knew us by name when we walked in! Definitely sit inside as the patio appears a bit cheap and run down. The inside is cozy and reminds me of a Tuscan villa. The food was delicious- I highly recommend the Limon Pollo for your entree and the Bananas Flambe for dessert. Such a tasty treat and they make it at your table and also tell you how to do it- very cool experience! It's the perfect place for a special occasion or a date night.
Bella Vita is a good choice for Italian in Sedona. It is a little way south of town, but worth the drive. The atmosphere is good, the food is authentic and the service is usually prompt.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bella Vita. The dining room was romantic and cozy, excellent service and delicious, fresh food. A very pleasant surprise
Food and service were outstanding. Save room for the dessert show!
Loved having Dan Vega there to serenade us on a perfect evening and not having to wear masks was great! Food was super and service was good but they were busy. Thanks for the staff wearing masks and gloves. Also found it interesting to have my temp taken on arrival. Would certainly go back and recommend!
Great place and amazingly good food.
We will definitely be back.
We love this restaurant and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is fantastic.
When we arrived for our reservation, they had difficulty determining where to seat the three of us. Service was very slow and the server brought the wrong bottle of wine so had to wait twice for that to arrive. The food took forever, but Sammy Davis was performing which was great and the main reason we came. When I made the reservation, I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, but the restaurant did nothing to acknowledge that. So my rating is middle of the road. Great patio and entertainment but poor service and very pricey food for the portions. Everything is ala carte. Next time I go, I will order off the appetizer menu.
Great as always!
When brought to our table we waited 15 mins and no one even brought water. There also was a very very loud table. That was not Bella Vita's fault but not any acknowledgment from staff and there was the table of 6 - the only other table with guests in the room. They have another room also but some one should at least say they know you are there. We left and went to
Geraldo's in Sedona and had great service and food.
We had been there last year and the food was very good.
We loved this place. Great food. Great ambiance and live music.
This was our first trip to Bella Vita in a few months and nothing much has changed except Coronvirus precautions. Dan has instituted temperature checks for all patrons. He asked us whether or not we objected to this, but we think it's reasonable for him to be cautious. The food, the service and the ambience were all up to par and everyone enjoyed the experience.
A little pricey but was delicious!!
Great experience and amazing food. Our waiter Neil was great. He was wearing a mask and gloves. Made me feel very comfortable dining. He was very knowledgeable on the menu. Make sure u get the banana fosters.
This place is a home run. Perfect location away from the masses. They nailed every dish. The meatballs are to die for. This is coming from a Jersey boy who knows Italian food. This place is the real deal. The entertainment outside was excellent as well. Be sure to make a reservation. Brett our server was excellent as well!
