The pizza was delicious, drinks were cheap, and patio was gorgeous! Definitely recommend going in the evening, around 7:30-8 so you can see the sunset.
We ate out the patio. It was very nice. The music was a bit loud to my liking but I'm some people wouldn't mind that. my only complaint was we were there to celebrate my mother's birthday and they had no dessert menu. I would have liked to get a dessert with a candle to sing happy birthday to my mom.
I strongly suggest going somewhere else. This place was awful.
Our food was fresh and delicious, a great value for the price. The staff was extremely friendly and the view was fantastic
Two outdoor patios on the river offer a nice retreat. We ordered drinks and our food upon arrival. My house cocktail was served quickly, my husbands gin took almost a half hour, a Reuben and lobster rolls took an hour or more to be served! Great location to tie up if you’re boating on the river, have a few cocktails & order your food immediately if you’re not hungry or else eat elsewhere. I can’t understand what the delays were about and felt sorry for our pleasant female server.
Food was good we had a pizza and drinks. Clean restaurant. Service was good.
We had a reservation and unfortunately something happened where the restaurant was closed; I was just upset they couldn’t take the time to call those who had reservations. It was Father’s Day and we just wanted to do something nice.
We drove about 40 min for a birthday dinner. On arrival the front desk (it’s in a hotel) informed us that the restaurant closed for the evening. She said that they had called everyone with a reservation but we go message - no text. No message through open table. No voice mail. Not even a missed call. Not upset about the closure as these are strange times but the no call was very upsetting
Found out upon arrival the restaurant was NOT open....had to drive there to find out...thanks for that!!
Had a great time. Good food, loved sitting by the water to eat! Nice music, I would definitely recommend & will be back again!
We ordered water and it took 20 mins before it even came out. When we ordered our food, It was 6:45 and we expected It would be out by 7:20ish, but the waiter checked in to say he didn’t know what the hold up was and offered us 50% off which the bill did not reflect. The food finally came out an hour and 15 mins later and we were not offered a refill nor were we checked on other than the 1 time the food came out. We had to ask for silverware, but a waiter/waitress was nowhere to be found. We wanted to eat, but at the same time, did not want our food getting cold and we needed napkins and silverware. We ordered a side salad thinking it would come out before our meals, but it came out as we finished our meal and the croutons were very hard/soggy and the salad was warm like it was sitting out for a while. The atmosphere was very lovely and the staff did an exceptional job of keeping the tables sanitized, but we watched a couple wait 30 mins just to get a menu and we had another friend stay 3 hours just to wait.
This was the first week the restaurant was open after Covid. There were not enough servers or serving assistants so we did not have plates, silverware or prompt service. Our server did the best she could with so many tables and the food was superb. We are hoping the service issues were due to post covid and can’t wait to try Bella Vista again!
We were frustrated as specials that were advertised were misleading. When i posted a review on Facebook your chef was rude and argumentative and called me “cheap”. It’s funny right after that you guys updated your ad on Facebook. We would love to come back but not sure we will bring our business back or suggest you to our friends.
Our waitress was very sweet and the manager checked in with us. Because it was the 1st night of re-opening their patio, we waited an hour before our food was served, but fantastic views overlooking the river with our great tasting drinks!
The view from the outside eating area is beautiful. The pizza was good and the beer was nice and cold.
When we arrived we were given 2 menus and told we had to share (party of 6). The printed menus were not the menu that was online and was very limited unless you wanted pizza or appetizers. The waitress told us she only works breakfast so didn’t know any about the dinner menu. As we were finishing dinner she just brought our checks never asked about dessert or drinks. Food was good with large portions but it was disappointing that for NYE the push seemed to be on the pizza.
We booked the restaurant because it was fairly close to our hotel. The service was very good but what made our evening was the entertainment! Gregg Sansone was a wonderful surprise and his repertoire, musicality, and interaction with the diners was top notch. Overall a great evening and would love to re-visit in the summer to take advantage of the lovely patio and view of the river.
Pleasantly surprised. Generous portions. Good food.
I can only give this place a 2 star for these reasons. One, there's NO indication OR signage when approaching the destination. Nothing shows its in the hotel. Two, ambiance and server were the reasons for the 2 stars. Food, well I ordered the meatballs. You get two with plenty of sauce and a grilled pita. First, the pita was underdone leaving it doughy in the middle, second the sauce and balls were luke warm at best. Lastly and most important, for $9 you give me two golf ball sized meatballs? Really? Sad, very sad.
The restaurant itself was beautiful. The outside seating was amazing and they even had live music. However, the food was just okay. It was overly hot, dry, and the chicken was rubbery. The customer service was honestly terrible. We had like 3 different servers, took way to long to get a refill on our water, took forever for anyone to come to the table to drop off the bill, and they weren't even that busy. Noone was sitting inside, and there were maybe 8 tables. No more than a party of 4. They had private conversations in the dining area, and I could tell the servers were annoyed or flustered. The waiters and waitresses were not the problem. Its management. This restaurant is perfect if you're looking to just get a few drinks and hangout with some good spirits. But going for an anniversary dinner or special occasion is not recommended.
We made reservations for Belle Vista. We stayed at the hotel too. We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday. The food and service was perfect.
Everything was terrific- server was friendly and just great- food was excellent. We will return!
The setting was great only issues was our server who was very slow and forgetful.
I didn't realize this was a hotel restaurant when reserving. The menu was very, very limited with only 4 pasta dishes to choose from and the food quality was OK, not great. My martini was awful and the "fix" didn't help. The only good part was we had outside seating view of the river and there was an acoustic guitar player.
Need more vegetarian options
Our waitress, Juana, was excellent
We ate on the outdoor deck. Atmosphere was great with live music. It was a nice night so being outside with the river view was good. Food was tasty and good for the value. I would recommend
Great dining experience overlooking the Niagara River. Had friends visiting so ordered pizza was a great night!
Was there for 40 minutes after having a reservation and not one person came over to ask for our order. Multiple tables sat after us and received service. Would never go back!!! Walked out after telling them my concerns about our wait time and they did not do anything about it so we left.
The view on an outstanding is awesome. Very relaxing. Service good, prices are fair.
Great outdoor patio in summer limited menu. Food only average.
The food was not good. There were six of us and only one person liked their meal. I would not recommend. Live music was nice.
Must have been an off night. Chicken parm burnt and over cooked while pizza was raw and in edible. We were Comped for Pizza
The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. The servers that were present were having personal conversations about how much money they did or did not make, our glasses sat empty for several minutes and the shrimp we ordered was over cooked and bland.
Mediocre food and service. Waitress brought us a different wine than we ordered by first bringing us each a poured glass and then later bringing the bottle that had clearly been open for sometime. It was not opened at our table or newly opened. She pulled it over on us at first and then gave us a “special” on it. Food was nothing spectacular. Location is right on the river with a great view of the bridge.
I got a salad and got violently ill. View was nice but the outdoors was not open; disappointing
We dined on a day where the staff was shorthanded. Although the bar manager was nice he said if we were to eat outside we would have to come in to order and to pick up our food. So we ate inside but wanted to eat outside. He was tentative but rushed.
Nice comfortable restaurant along the river. Waitress was friendly en food was good.
Service was very friendly but a bit scattered. My antipasto appetizer came out at the same time as my pasta entree. The antipasto consisted of cheap cold cuts, banana peppers from a jar, a few strips of roasted red pepper and 2 slices of mozzarella served, all with toast with pesto on it. No sign of the promised artichokes or mixed olives. The pasta with vodka sauce and shrimps was delicious.
Our waitress, Jocelyn was absolutely amazing. She recommended great food choices and made our evening extra special. We want to return simply because of her service!😁
I got there they had no food and couldn’t find my reservation I went there with small children and my fiancée. Worst restaurant ever I wouldn’t recommend it. The man suggested for me to go and find else where to eat my kids in a stormy night was so angry. And when I call they wouldn’t answer.
