The food was delicious! Loved the quaint atmosphere! Definitely will return.
Would definitely return!!
Food and service both awesome!
Great place for date night Wonderful food and deserts. Great wine selection
We were reminded multiple times that there was a reservation for our table (4 person table) coming in soon. There were open tables around us and no wait when we left. Our server made sure to get us out as soon as she could even though we had ordered two rounds of drinks, two bottles of wine and food throughout our time there. I have been to Bella Vino on multiple occasions, but was not happy with how the situation was handled this time around.
Love the atmosphere and the food was great. The service was exceptional! I can't wait to return.
Nice outside dining areas in front & back of the building.
We eat here many times, but dishes need to be cleared before the next tapas comes out. Our table got really full of dishes! Everything else was great!
Our server Sophia was great! The food Was great quality and a great selection
Enjoyed Easter Brunch at Bella Vino. It ended up being a beautiful day and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view from the patio. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent as we enjoyed the special brunch menu items. Spicy Bloody Mary's were fantastic!
I ordered the French toast off of the Easter Brunch menu and it was not edible.
The bread was either forgotten about while soaking in the egg mixture or it was not "toasted" enough in the pan. It was like eating raw dough. I was disappointed because it was the only thing I could eat off of the menu and was really looking forward to it.
The mimosa was pretty good and the marshmallow peep garnish was cute.
Our server, Alex, was very nice
My husband liked his breakfast, the egg skillet.
The service and food was outstanding. We love the ambiance and quality of the food and drinks!
Great vibe, great food, plenty of Gluten free options!
Bella Vino was great! Awesome food and service. Perfect for a Friday night date night as well as any other special occasion! Will for sure be back.
We don't often get to St. Charles, but when we do, Bella Vino is always on our list. We love tapas, and they have incredibly tasty and creative dishes. Add to that a wine flight or a yummy cocktail, and it makes for a perfect meal!
Due to weather our reservation was moved inside. We were called earlier in the day to confirm that was ok and we agreed to it. BUT, there was not enough room between the tables. Not enough social distancing considered.
We sat outside which was very nice. Unfortunately,we were placed next to the steps and had to look at people's feet as they went up and down the stairs. It wasn't the best view.
The cobbler was delicious!
Not a good experience. We were put at a tiny table and pretty much sitting on top of the tables next to us because they were so close. My friend asked if we could move tables and our server said no even though there we other open tables nearby that didn’t get seated for over an hour. We ordered a bottle of wine that took about 15 minutes to get to our table. We ordered two appetizers at the same time that took OVER AN HOUR to come out. Our waitress never warned us the kitchen was running behind until about 40 minutes after we ordered and she said it would be almost out. We then waited another half hour. Finally our food came out... a flatbread and hummus. After almost an hour and 15 minutes. My friend asked for a manager to complain about our experience and she did comp our appetizers (which we didn’t ask for or want) but she was very dismissive and didn’t seem to care. As a restaurant worker, this situation could have been handled much better. Warn your tables at the beginning that the kitchen is behind, don’t blame large parties, and actually act like you care about your customers!
Food was outstanding. Kitchen got backed up, so food took awhile. However, they kept the drinks going, so easy to overlook.
Alex was a fantastic server! Our food was delicious and the heated lamp was perfect for outdoor seating. Cannot wait to go back.
Thank you Sarah! Glad you enjoyed your time and we look forward to serving you again! Cheers!
We enjoyed the Bonfire (fondue), Barramundi, Asparagus Salad, and Patatas Bravas. This is our favorite restaurant in St. Charles.
The mushroom puff pastry and the spinach artichoke flat bread were my favorite of the items we had. Service was great.
The food, as usual was great. The calamari - which can be outstanding or hideous depending on where you get it was, as expected....superb. Thankfully the chef isn't on the latest stupid train of trying to slap hot n spicy on everything. One of the few choices around town where I'd prefer to order multiple small plates than your standard entree. No problem at all with eating here during lent- so many great choices!
Its still too cold and rainy to sit outside but I can barely wait until thats not the case. The only drawback for me was forgetting to ask for a first floor table...so had to climb an extra set of stairs.
The only complaint was the noise level, and that was because of a party of 6 sitting together. A woman's SO asked her why she was yelling!
Good food, service, and great ambiance. I wish I knew I could have brought my dog. I love that they are pet friendly!
Great food, great selection in wines! Service is awesome
Service was great! Food wasn’t great for what we paid for. Probably won’t go back.
4 course Valentines dinner was delicious!
Great food came out fast as hell we went when there was a big party there though so it was a tad loud
We ordered Martinis, and they looked Nothing like the photos. The Martini glass was 3/4 full, taste was below average and priced at $10.00, it was a Big disappointment.
The wine is always good, but we wanted to try something different, and that was a big mistake.
We had a great meal there and a great bottle of wine. Our waitress was very good and friendly. Great experience.
Fabulous knowledgeable server. The cheese tray and lobster and mushroom ravioli were delicious, I wasn’t too impressed with the calamari, but I work at a restaurant that makes very good calamari, so I’m biased. I was just looking for a place online to get some wine and appetizers at, and was happy I found this place. Next time I’ll try an entree, and get the cheese tray again!
Great wine and food as usual.
Loved it. Enjoyed a special birthday celebration. We will be back!
A wonderful experience with great food as always.
My husband and I ate at Bella Vino for our anniversary. Since there is a global pandemic and we didn’t want the risk of exposure by eating indoors, we chose to sit on the front porch. The restaurant staff was kind enough to seat us under an awning to avoid issues with the possible snow. I very much appreciated their thought. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately and a heater was brought near and turned on. This was great! We had dressed warmly and were prepared for the outside but were originally supposed to be sitting near a fire instead of a heater. At first this option was fine for us, but the heater eventually ran out of propane and we were quite cold (my toes were numb). We asked for the tank to be replaced and it never happened. The waiter we had was kind, but he had a larger party out behind the restaurant, so he was not as attentive as we would have liked for the latter part of the meal. That being said, we ordered wine and the cheese fondue (pictured) which was delicious, and very filling. We asked to split the filet and they were out, so we settled on splitting the barramundi. We each ended up getting our own full entree instead of the split. The staff realized the mistake, and we were not charged for the second entree. I would return to the restaurant, because the food was good and the ambiance is nice, but hope for a better experience next time.
Food was tremendous. Really enjoyed everything we had. Wine list has some really good choices without being crazy expensive. Service was really good after a slow start--think there may have been some confusion over which server was supposed to take our table. Once that was resolved, server was very friendly and efficient. The inside is pretty small but a beautiful space. They have a great patio weather permitting. Have been there several times and the food is always very good. Will return soon!
Great food great place for a date night. wonderful service and wine selection
Christmas Eve is a tough night for staff and everyone working was kind, attentive as could be with the short staff and in great spirits.
The stuffed dates were definitely a favorite and would order them again. The lightly dusted calamari was cooked well but wasn't a fan of the presentation. The accompanying lemon aioli tasted like a thick plain mayo that was squirted on top from a ketchup bottle and the fried spinach did nothing to add to the dish other than a colorful nest for the calamari to lay in.
The barramundi was delicious. The gravy was a heavy addition if watching your calories but everything was well prepared.
Wine selection had several characterized as fruity. Those with a preference for a dry wine may have a harder time finding a glass they can indulge in. There is a complete bar so definitely something can be found for everyone. I personally enjoyed the cucumber cocktail, very refreshing even though there wasn't any fresh cucumber in it.
