Bella Tuscany Ratings and Reviews
The kitchen was running behind and we weren’t able to be seated for one hour after our reservation time. We ended up eating appetizers at the bar and filled up. The bartender did offer us a free drink for the inconvenience. We’d go again but they need some process improvements.
Great menu, excellent food and good service. A bit noisy for conversation. Specified a birthday when making reservation, but there was nothing done so I don't know why we were asked about celebrating a special occasion when the reservation was made. Would still go back though.
What a pleasant surprise! We were told this restaurant was good but we were not prepared for just how good it was! Greeted immediately by hostess, brought to our table right away and server, Kevin was there to introduce himself and take our drink order. He recommended several items and none disappointed. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were flavorful and perfect and then had the lasagna and the eggplant Parmesan, both of them were amazing!
Worst Orlando area dinner in years. Penne pasta with vodka sauce arrived to table late with a giant hair right on top of the dish. Floor Manager came to table and was basically useless; didn’t say anything and walked away. They took over 20 mins claiming to be working on a replacement dish. We got sick of waiting. We paid and departed. We will not return.
I highly recommend this restaurant!!! After a minor communication glitch where our server was not aware of our presence, the evening was stellar. I seldom give a perfect score, but this restaurant deserves it through a winning combination of charm with service and cooking excellence. We started with the prosciutto-wrapped tiger shrimp special appetizer, which was a winning start into entrees of veal saltimbocca and linguine with clam sauce. The wine list of over 400 bottles is well curated by a knowledgeable AND approachable sommelier. This is a charming but not glitzy restaurant that is located in a shopping center, and the menu prices reflect the fact--our basic check WITH a bottle of wine was less than $100. This is a keeper!!!
We were looking for something off Disney property for a break in the chaos. We checked yelp reviews and settled on Bella Tuscany. Don't let the exterior fool you, the ambiance and decor rivaled any high end eatery. Bar was not huge but they had the games going and was proportional to the layout. We were promptly greeted at the hostess stand and seated at our table. Our server was not far behind and took our drink orders which gave us some time to look over the menu. The wine list was huge with varietals from all over with most any available by the glass. We ordered the mozzarella and ricotta bites for starters which were great. Mozzarella was a tad on the greasy side but still crisp and tasty. Ricotta bites were spot on. The menu had lots of options for everyone and the wife and son opted for flatbread"s and I had the Veal Saltimbocca. Food came out timely was hot and tasty. Not over salted and sauce was rich and flavorful. The fam enjoyed their entrees as well so thumbs up on our orders. I can't remember our servers name but he was from Morocco and was excellent, very attentive and polite. We are from a big restaurant city and this was as good or better than a lot of the higher end places we eat. Prices were fair and value was great.
Busy Friday night, but was expected. Restaurant was a little warm, so I didn't order the red wine like I planned, but the Chardonnay I picked from the extensive wine menu made me forget all about the red. Food took a long time but the wine and bread held us over, plus my husband and I had a cozy corner where we could talk and catch each other up on our day so we didn't mind the wait. Our server was awesome! She was attentive and polite and kept our water glasses full. Prices are a little high so we don't visit Bella as much as we would like, but we had a nice dinner date and will be back. We love this neighborhood gem!
This restaurant is a place where we meet with friends who live a distance away for a leisurely Italian meal, such as we have had in Naples, Italy. The food is so good, that we would probably make the three hour drive even if it was not a day we were meeting with friends.
I really love this place, maybe I should say loved this place. I’ve been coming here for about 2 1/2 years. And I feel like the neighborhood place that I loved coming to has been tarnished. We walked in and there are 4 people behind the host stand. Not one of those 4 could be bothered to welcome us. After them realizing that we were even there, we had asked for a booth in the middle dinning room (where we normally sit) and were escorted to a table on the side.. mind you, it wasn’t busy. But, that isn’t my main issue.
There is one manager who looks like he is about to have a nervous breakdown and doesn’t know the menu or can answer any questions. I mean would a smile kill the guy?
And then there is the French manager who lead us to believe is the owners wife, which makes sense because she sure didn’t get the job on personality. Every single experience with her is so unpleasant. She is just flat out rude. She has something about her and it seems like every one is beneath her. Its arrogance and everyone can feel the tension at the table.
But the food is always amazing, our only complaint being that there is so much left over. We never really had any issues with service and Russ the wine director is excellent.. maybe the managers should take a lesson from him.
We will be back, the food wine was worth it. However, we will sit either at he bar when we don’t have our children or outside to avoid he things that take away from your product.
We come to Florida every year for my wife’s birthday and every year she INSISTS on her birthday dinner being at Bella Tuscany. The food is always AMAZING and this year we had the good fortune to have Eric take care of us. We were a large party of eight and he kept the evening moving at the perfect pace. Thank you for being a very special part of my wife’s birthday!
See you again in 365 days!!
Great place to get some authentic Italian. A bit hard to find in the shopping center due to the partially burn out neon sign outside. Atmosphere seemed great as soon as we walked in, but when we sat down it felt like we were at a McDonalds playground. Six kids on the table next to us running laps around the table, listening to their iPads on max volume, and even singing out loud to Justin Bieber while the moms were just chatting away drinking their wine. Food was tremendous, except for the Carbonara which seemed more like an Alfredo with Pancetta. Our server was very attentive. We would definitely come back, but now we know to check the surrounding tables before we sit down.
