Bella Tuscany Ratings and Reviews
Busy Friday night, but was expected. Restaurant was a little warm, so I didn't order the red wine like I planned, but the Chardonnay I picked from the extensive wine menu made me forget all about the red. Food took a long time but the wine and bread held us over, plus my husband and I had a cozy corner where we could talk and catch each other up on our day so we didn't mind the wait. Our server was awesome! She was attentive and polite and kept our water glasses full. Prices are a little high so we don't visit Bella as much as we would like, but we had a nice dinner date and will be back. We love this neighborhood gem!
This restaurant is a place where we meet with friends who live a distance away for a leisurely Italian meal, such as we have had in Naples, Italy. The food is so good, that we would probably make the three hour drive even if it was not a day we were meeting with friends.
I really love this place, maybe I should say loved this place. I’ve been coming here for about 2 1/2 years. And I feel like the neighborhood place that I loved coming to has been tarnished. We walked in and there are 4 people behind the host stand. Not one of those 4 could be bothered to welcome us. After them realizing that we were even there, we had asked for a booth in the middle dinning room (where we normally sit) and were escorted to a table on the side.. mind you, it wasn’t busy. But, that isn’t my main issue.
There is one manager who looks like he is about to have a nervous breakdown and doesn’t know the menu or can answer any questions. I mean would a smile kill the guy?
And then there is the French manager who lead us to believe is the owners wife, which makes sense because she sure didn’t get the job on personality. Every single experience with her is so unpleasant. She is just flat out rude. She has something about her and it seems like every one is beneath her. Its arrogance and everyone can feel the tension at the table.
But the food is always amazing, our only complaint being that there is so much left over. We never really had any issues with service and Russ the wine director is excellent.. maybe the managers should take a lesson from him.
We will be back, the food wine was worth it. However, we will sit either at he bar when we don’t have our children or outside to avoid he things that take away from your product.
We come to Florida every year for my wife’s birthday and every year she INSISTS on her birthday dinner being at Bella Tuscany. The food is always AMAZING and this year we had the good fortune to have Eric take care of us. We were a large party of eight and he kept the evening moving at the perfect pace. Thank you for being a very special part of my wife’s birthday!
See you again in 365 days!!
Great place to get some authentic Italian. A bit hard to find in the shopping center due to the partially burn out neon sign outside. Atmosphere seemed great as soon as we walked in, but when we sat down it felt like we were at a McDonalds playground. Six kids on the table next to us running laps around the table, listening to their iPads on max volume, and even singing out loud to Justin Bieber while the moms were just chatting away drinking their wine. Food was tremendous, except for the Carbonara which seemed more like an Alfredo with Pancetta. Our server was very attentive. We would definitely come back, but now we know to check the surrounding tables before we sit down.
I don’t even know how to explain what a great restaurant this is. My husband and I flew into Orlando from San Francisco, it was our anniversary, so I checked online to find a promising restaurant near our hotel. I never imagined I’d find a gem like Bella Tuscany. The Maitre d was gracious and welcoming. The sommelier led us through the wine list - only those we were interested in. After all, it’s an enormous world class wine list. We had the beet salad - the best I’ve had. My husband had a pasta dish with meat sauce - very good, and I had the beef carpaccio - delicious. But there were so many other good-looking items on the menu that we went back a second night! Here’s where it gets really good. We split the rack
of lamb. Why split? Because it was a full rack (9 lamb chops), a mountain of mushroom risotto that melted in your mouth, and yummy roasted Brussels sprouts. The portions are quite large - even the side salads are big! We had a great gelato for dessert. As fabulous as the food is, the staff is just as outstanding - all very friendly, checking in with us to make sure everything is ok.
Please give Bella Tuscany a try if you haven’t yet. You will have an enjoyable experience.
4th or 5th time we have been. Service was slow, as usual, but we were prepared for it and allowed enough time. (Note: the server was fine we just think they don't have enough servers so each has too many tables). The food was generally very good with a couple of exceptions: 1) the calamari appetizer was overcooked, and 2) we ordered a salmon topped saladand it didn't come out with the salad. When it was corrected and the salmon brought to the table it was undercooked. Beyond those hiccups we had an lovely time. The tiramisu was wonderful, as were the salads that we ordered, and the veal parm.
unfortunately, my wife and I had to leave the restaurant because they were short staffed again with only one server for the entire restaurant. This restaurant has great food but it is always understaffed. We can never eat there at night and especially on fridays and saturdays as they simply can't handle large crowds. This has been going on for years now and management clearly doesn't care about fixing this problem. We have to go when they first open at 11am or early afternoon when they are not busy in order to get served in a reasonable amount of time. We have complained numerous times and everyone there agrees but nothing changes. What a shame. Probably the best italian food in town but we can't go often.
A great sommelier! Unlimited information on any bottle of wine you may be interested in. Feel free to ask for suggestions. Upselling is not the main objective.
Be warned: Veal Francese is no longer on the menu. It was the absolute best - and I have raved about it previously, but the menu has changed. Very sad. Eggplant parmigiana can be a bit mushy and hard to identify the different layers. Lasagna is as good as ever. The Carbonara was enjoyed by friends - though they did request "light on the onions."
Well I know we've had a hurricane but all my usual favourites were professional enough to state they were closed. This place couldn't be bothered to inform potential clients. So I wasted €42 on an Uber round trip to find this amateur run place was closed. I rang to check and got a divert to to the Orange County psychiatric unit. Wtf. Just about sums up this place don't bother if this is there customer service. SHAMEFUL
We have been going here for several years now and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh. One big plus is that they have enough sauce on their dishes. Some restaurants skimp on the sauce on the plate or in the tossed entree and at Bella Tuscany, it is perfect. Their specials are always great and served with a starch and vegetable. I highly recommend this restaurant. The live music is also a plus.
We had not been to Bella Tuscany for a while and were surprised to find out that they had upgraded their menu and added an extensive wine list. The sommelier spent a good deal of time answering questions we had about the wine list and we were pleased with the recommendations. We will not wait so long to return.
Made a reservation based on other reviews. Were looking forward to going with the family after church. There were going to be 8 of us. Church went late so I called to let them know we'd be late but we were still coming. The person that answered said it wasn't a problem to just come when we could. So we got there 15 minutes after our reservation. When we came in the bar tender came from behind the bar to help us but sternly said it would be 10 minutes before we could be seated. We didn't understand why but said okay and sat down to wait. Since it was raining and the two young kids in our party were hungry we thought it would be easier to wait. But unfortunately it wasn't. What we were told by the bartender when we were seated is he was the bartender, host and only server. After waiting at the table for a while we decided to call it quits. The place looked nice inside and we were looking forward to the homemade pasta that the reviews spoke of but we knew we were not going to be eating anytime soon. Not sure if this is standard for them to be under staffed or if they had something happen. Either way it was not good for business.
