Enjoyed a delicious lunch with lovely views, ambiance and good service. We sat indoors although they also have outdoor seating.
Wait staff is warm and friendly. Bartender makes great cocktails and the food was great!
As always excellent service and wonderful food!
Sat outside and service was quick. Very friendly atmosphere.
Always one of my favorite restaurants. Food is fabulous!!
Amazing food and even better service! Ambience is incredible with the water views!
I’ve been there a few times and liked it every time. Food is great. Beware of the olive oil dip ! It’s so good that you get full on it before your meal comes
We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and decided to celebrate at Bella Siena. We were disappointed with our appetizer which was an order of crab cakes. They appeared to be reheated, they were so dry and tasteless. Our cocktails, for the price, was not comparable to size and taste. My blood orange martini was extremely bitter. The Napa cabbage salad was also dry and bland. No taste. The main course saved the day. The pan seared veal scaloppini was the best my husband has had in a very long time. My grilled Atlantic salmon was amazing. Nothing to change there, it was perfection, for both. Dessert was also amazing. My husband had the classic Italian tiramisu and he loved it. The warm apple berry fruit crisp was also fabulous. All in all, just ok, simply, due to the price for everything when everything was not that great.
This is my favorite place to go to and I do not mind driving to it. The service and food is delicious. Be sure to make a reservation and get there early, parking is limited on the street.
Bella Sienna is very pretty with a beautiful view of the water. Service was prompt and efficient. Cocktails and meals were delicious! I recommend this restaurant very highly.
Worst service I have ever had. I’ve been here a handful of times but last night we had the absolute worst server ever i honesty will never be coming back. Thank you to the nice gentlemen who kept refilling my water and for the nice man that brought out our food but our actual waitress she was terrible. Customer service was not her cup of tea.
We made a reservation and we could be promptly seated at our reserved time, but it was in this back, slightly sad room. The service was great, the meal was great, but I wish that we could have sat in a more lively atmosphere. It was our first time taking this couple out in our town and I was hoping for a better impression. That being said, the staff and food did their best to make it special.
It was out first time there and they were very busy. Was told there would be a 40 min. wait even though we had reservations. However we decided on a table for two in the bar area and were seated right away. The service was slow due to the fact that they were busy, but the waiter was very pleasant and accommodating. The food was very good and we would recommend this restaurant.
Great dining experience; a little noisy but worth it
Excellent service, every dish is incredible and great ambiance
The food and service were wonderful. Nice to have a more upscale restaurant for special occasions in Benicia.
Because I assumed that Saturday, 9/11 will be a busy day, I made lunch reservations for 1 pm. When we arrived, not every table was occupied and some guests were already leaving. Service was still slow, unfortunately, and the pasta entrees were dry on top, as though they had been sitting on the counter and had to be reheated.
At this time, I would not return any time soon and would not recommend Bella Siena to anyone.
Excellent experience at the restaurant. We came for a special occasion.
Didn’t get as good as service as those around us. Waitress didn’t tell us any specials and didn’t make it feel like a special occasion. I’ve overheard other
Delicious food but with this visit we felt rushed out. We were given our bill before we even got desert on the table and we were still having drinks. The bread server was annoyed we asked for butter. The cocktails were phenomenal though. Overall a great place to wine and dine but service is a hit or miss.
Everything was wonderful! Our waiter Valentino was the best! Very accommodating!
Anthony was a great server and the mahi was delicious
Great place for lunch or dinner view and patio are both excellent and the food is wonderful
Wonderful atmosphere and delightful company too. Ciao Bella
I had a salad with chicken added. Once upon a time they did a good job preparing the chicken. The last couple of times it was like shoe leather, cut extremely thin and way over cooked. I should have sent it bak.
Had the carpaccio, barramundi, papparadelle, fruit crisp, bread pudding for dessert. All the food was excellent; the papparadellle was extraordinary. Great service and atmosphere.
Never disappoints. I tried a dish that I hadn't tried before, pork chop with polenta. Delicious.
Service very poor
This time we had appetizers (calamari and bruschetta) to salads (caesar and insulata arugula) to entrees (mahi mahi special, vitello piccata, pork chops) to dessert (blackberry sorbet and bread pudding) everything was delicious! We've been here many times and have not been disappointed.
Service was excellent. Really appreciated our waiter. Ordered 4 dishes. Three were really excellent. The fourth, lamb, was good, but not excellent. A bit overdone (ordered rare) and cost of dish for what was put on the plate was several $$’s too high.
However really enjoyed our overall experience.
We showed up for our reservation time, on time, and still had to wait 30 min for a table. Once seated, we got waters and then waited another 40 min for our server to come by. He was very overwhelmed. The restaurant was also out of the table bread so we just sat there wishing we had real drinks and something to snack on. We’ve been here a few times and never had this many issues. Food is good if you can stand the terrible service.
Their website/Open Table syncing process is glitchy so I recommend you confirm your reservation again by phone after you book it online. Be prepared to wait even with reservations esp around the dinner hour or around major holidays. Our reservation was for 6:30 pm over the Labor Day holiday. We arrived at 6:25 pm and were told it would be a 10-15 min wait so they would text when the table was ready. I never received the text which may be related to the glitchy connection btwn their website and Open Table. After inquiring on the status, around 7:10 pm, we were seated around 7:20pm.
Bread/dip/water came quickly but butter request took several attempts of asking passing wait staff to provide. By the time it arrived, so did our entrees. During the 2-hr meal no one ever checked our water glasses or drinks, or offered us refills. When we asked for a refill of bread for the table we were told they ran out however a table right next to us received bread. As servers/wait staff walked by, they did not pick up empty dishes so our table became full of empty plates when our entrees arrived. The ribeye arrived without a steak knife so after requesting it and not having it arrive, I decided to eat it with the butter knife. Eventually the knife arrived but it was only because a server noticed it as he flew by our table. Then came the wait for take out boxes.
Since we were there for 2 hours, it didn't take long for us to notice that we were pretty much there with the same group of patrons during that entire time. It's clear the restaurant is severely understaffed and the wait staff are overwhelmed. That all snowballs, making it difficult for them to properly and courteously wait on their tables, provide their guests with their meals and fulfill their requests (butter, knives, water) and pay their bill and leave so the table can be readied to seat more guests.
Until they resolve their booking and staffing issues, I will wait to go back for dinner.
Sat outside and it was lovely! Coco was our server and she was great. Had great recommendations and I should hav listened to her about them. The dish I ordered was bland but my daughters dish was incredible. Very flavorful. Can't wait to go back!
We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a special restaurant. Bella Siena fit the bill. We shared a salad and a dessert and had 2 entreés. Everything was absolutely delicious and well-portioned. We were seated right at our reservation time even though the restaurant was really busy. There is a beautiful view of the water and the Carquinez Bridge from nearly every table. It is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
What a gem in Benicia! Delicious food and drink, excellent staff and fun ambiance!
Had a great time. First time here. Everything was impeccable from the moment we arrived.
Hate to come down hard on the food/beverage/hospitality industry right now, but what a disappointment! We had heard glowing things about Bella Siena and read glowing reviews. And we are Italian. Requested table by window for husband's birthday. Was seated at table in the middle of the room. A/C was blasting and we were freezing. Papardelle was not cooked properly: some parts uncooked and sticking together and other sections overcooked. When I pointed it out to our waiter, he apologized and offered to bring a new one (I declined). Really? A so-called Italian restaurant where they don't cook the pasta right? AND THEN HE DID NOT TAKE IT OFF THE BILL (so I actually paid for it!! I supposed I could have protested, but I did not want to make a fuss on my husband's birthday). My son's beverage never arrived. Ambiance feels like a bar. Menu is schizophrenic. I think they are trying to be Italian fusion?? But the offerings are all over the place. A complimentary (and unrequested) birthday dessert was summarily set down in front of my husband (and not a dessert we wanted), but then dessert menu not offered for us to maybe order something we might actually want (I did then request one). Look, it's just dinner. No big deal. And I was exceptionally nice and understanding with our waiter. But we won't be coming back.
They were very accommodating to our reservation from open table, tho they turned postponed the applications reservations. They also moved us after we complained about to many flies in our area.
Service was great as always, food is always great
Always a good time!
Wonderful service and food was delicious!
