classic Italian and innovative Californian cuisine. The seasonally influenced menu

The thing about this place is the gorgeous view of the Carquinez Straits. The food was good, but not great. I ordered crab cakes and Mista Salad for lunch. I like my crab cakes a little crispy on the outside and these were soggy. Someone else in our party ordered the mushroom risotto and said it was very good. Service was a little slow - had to ask for ice tea refills. And the noise is still off the charts. They have tried to dampen it with fabric baffles in the ceiling, but it is still difficult to hear people across the table. In spite of all of my comments, it is still one of the nicest restaurants in Benicia.
Very charming. Our server was lovely and service was perfect. My third time here. First time at lunch. Much better at lunch because dinner was just to noisy to hear my guests. Great server those.
Great food, excellent service, breathtaking views of the Carquinez Straights.
Reservation was at 1230 and we got seated right away near the window with great amazing view of the bridge, the food was great service was superb very attentive to our needs, plenty of parking love my Mango mojito drink gem in the neighborhood definitely will come.
I love the addition of this restaurant to our town. You can get dressed up - or not. The food is always top quality. I wish my stomach was bigger.
A special place.
This was my first experience there that wasn’t not 5 star. When I walked in, it smelled of a strong cleaning solution. We were seated quickly but then it took quite awhile for our server to say hello. Then he said he’d be back soon, but it was a long wait. For lunch, & not super crowded, I was surprised service was not what I normally get there. I’ll still go, hoping it was just one “not great” experience.
My friends loved loved the warm Napa cabbage salad. The bolognese was excellent. The view is beyond compare.
This place would have knocked it out of the ballpark because the food, service, and atmosphere were excellent, but there was one miss and that was the bread. My partner called it wonder bread in a roll. Good bread is crusty on the outside and soft only in the inside not soft inside and outside. There is a new, good bakery nearby.
Third time there. Always been very good food and excellent service. Wonderful lamb choices. Very solid bar and probably the best wine selection in Solano County.
Service was incredibly friendly and personable, even on a very busy night. Food was cooled perfectly and very flavorful. We will definitely be regulars
For me, a restaurant that has a good food plus excellent service is a perfect combination. Sorry, my review is more focus on customer service not much on the food. Yes, I’ll be going back again-I recommend this place to anybody.
I was a little disappointed that the regular menu items wasn’t made available.
No complaints! Everything was great from the service to the harp player! Will definitely be back!
We love Bella Siena for the sophisticated atmosphere it brings to the Benicia Vallejo area. The food is delicious and they always offer specials so if you go often you never have to repeat, unless you choose to.
The view of San Pablo bay is lovely. The bar is excellent with a good selection of wine and some interesting drinks. We have gone often and usually bring our out of town company for dinner or lunch.
Always a great experience - from seating to finish! It's a GREAT place for any occasion!
Celebrated my birthday with friends! Awesome time! Great ambiance!
We love having a beautiful restaurant in Benicia. The ambiance feels good and sitting by the window and looking at the water is the best!
Lovely place for a lunch with friends or clients. The view of the bay from the main dining room is impressive and at the same time soothing as it was on a cold gray day that I was there. The prix fixe menu for lunch is a great value. Visit and Enjoy.
Nice place. This is my third trip. I will come again. Blessings
Fabulous restaurant in every way, the very best one in Benicia.
despite having a reservation we had to wait almost 3o minutes to be seated. We were told of a special which one of the party ordered but then were informed that the special was sold out and they were substituting a different fish.
We have eaten here a few times with a better feeling about it, the food was OK, in fact everything was OK but only OK
Great food, great service, great view. Definitely recommend.
Our second time at Bella. Had reservations but had to wait maybe 1/2 hour for table. There were others also waiting. Hostess said due to large party not leaving and that it was Saturday night. She said exactly the same thing when we ate there a few months before. We have eaten at many restaurants all over the country and have never had to wait that long with reservations. I hesitate to come back. The food was excellent and the waitress was wonderful. She was friendly, helpful and warm. Our only complaint was the wait.
I have eaten here many times. Food is always excellent and the service is superb. On this occasion, we had a 6:15 reservation, but did not get seated until almost 7am. The hostess and Manager were very apologetic and offered us a free glass of champagne. Once we were finally seated, everything was great. This was the first time that we had to wait with a reservation, so no big deal. Love this restaurant.
We went for a date night and as in the past had a wonderful experience. My husband loves the Marinated Grilled Teriyaki Skirt Steak and I am a big fan of the Grilled Atlantic Salmon. We started with a cup of the Beef Vegetable Soup which was so delicious. The wine list is great and we always enjoy whatever we drink. The service is fantastic. Be sure to make a reservation on Open Table otherwise you will have to wait and on a busy night may not get in at all. This was our 8th or 9th time dining there and we definitely will be coming back.
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, wonderful strive, great place for a date, family dinner or night out w the ladies!
*would like to be able to get phone reservations as well.
The openness of the restaurant & the view was outstanding
This is the 4th time I have had lunch at Bella Siena, and overtime has been lovely. Thank you. We will be back soon
Three of us had lunch: seafood pasta, veal picatta, and steak. All were perfectly cooked with delightful hints of herbs and spices. Great view location and service will go again.
A great new addition to our little town!! Our go-to for a fun night out with great food, drinks, service and overall ambiance. The entire staff could not be nicer, more professional or attentive. The food is consistently top notch (steak, seafood, pastas-yum!), with fun cocktails to boot. Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back!!
Food was great
A few more veal options on menu would be nice.
I requested special desert surprise from a waitress on way to bathroom. It never came!
Seating was prompt, views of the channel were a treat, service was excellent. Now, the food...the special was fettuccine with shrimp, artichoke hearts and a lovely sauce. Delicious. My cousin had the prix fixe lunch of skirt steak, squash, potatoes, and onion rings, preceded by a Napa cabbage salad. The steak was like butter and the salad was tasty and had a nice crunch. We enjoyed catching up with each other and savoring the food. Will go back with my husband.
Always enjoyable! Best Italian I’ve found in the Bay Area.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent food and friendly efficient restaurant staff!
We eat here regularly and have never had anything but excellent food and service!
Excellent food, friendly service but not the most efficient. Way TOO noisy when fully occupied - we had a table of six adults indoors, in the center of the back room and could not hear each other's conversation due to large parties on either side of us.
We arrived on a Sat evening where two large parties (15+) were dining.
The hostess was overwhelmed and the entrance was crowded with no room for arriving guests (lack of customer service). We were not welcomed but simply recognized.
Either the Maitre d' did not have control of the dining room or the Head Chef lost control of the kitchen.
The servers were attempting to satisfy the large parties while remaining guests were forced to wait. Our food was cold and the meat was undercooked (indicating the plates were prepared with vegetables while waiting for the grilling station which was clearly overwhelmed..... I wonder what else was missed which we didn't see ??).
We had to send one plate back to the kitchen and the center of my filet was raw (from a med rare order).
They are clearly not ready for prime time.
