Food was very good. Served hot and very pleasantly appealing. The server was pleasant and interacted with everyone in our party. The only complaint was the food was a little overpriced on some items.
Food was very good but expensive for type of food. Pasta dish was $19, but salad an extra $8
Garlic knots are great
Caprese salad rocks
Entrees to die for are baked ziti and Carbonara
Nice meal, very attentive service
Tasty good Italian food with great service overlooking the river
I was not happy with our meal
The veal Piccata was poorly prepared
Chef needs help here .. cheese?
Linguini in clam sauce also suffered from the same
Thick sauce ? These are lighter dishes
Spaghetti Bolognese and salads very good
Wonderful food and service. Thank you
Food was ok. Have had much better Italian food but it was still tasty. Sat outside which was nice. Probably won't go again for some time.
The food was okay, but not what I would expect for the price. My wife and I were disappointed. Looks like a nice place though.
Great food, great service (Jessie), great evening with friends dining on the patio
Great food. Great service.
They were down to 1 chef and seemed understaffed in general. They had a very very loud group table which wouldve made more sense to move that party to another room.
Food was very good
Our server was very friendly and pleasant. We sat outdoors on the patio and enjoyed a nice summer dinner.
The restaurant is great! Great food, great value and atmosphere. That being said, I have been there 2x on the weekend. There is entertainment on the riverside wharf across the street from the restaurant and there is a girl screeching OFFKEY over a microphone. She ruins the entire experience. Sooo terribly loud.
The food was delicious. The service was slow and we were asked by the waiter several times the same thing we had told him. The worst part of our visit was how hot the restaurant was. We realize that it was close to 100 degrees that day, but it felt like you were sitting outside. Even our waiter had sweat rolling down his face. Their were ceiling fans, but none of them were turned on-not sure if that would have helped.
Food was just okay, nothing amazing; however I would have enjoyed it more without the flies around.
This was our first time dining here and we will definitely return. The food , the service and the ambiance exceeded our expectations. This is truly a hidden gem. Bravo!
Food not as good under new chef/owner
We booked a dinner for 4 people. My gf and I arrived first. No one was in the bar or restaurant! Very strange! I asked for a beer and when they went to to the tap, it was foamy. So I ordered another. Another family walks in and they sit at a table. The other 2 finally walk in to join us and the hostess sits us right next to family B. It was akward and strange in a empty restaurant. Wine selection was limited, they were out of 3 of there 9 whites. My moms chicken picatta looked horrible. The chairs were so big and bulky it made it difficult to go to the restroom or get up for any reason. When ordering a glass of white, the waitress come back with the correct wine, but says, “we are out of white wine glasses”. When there only 8 people in the whole restaurant?!?! That’s when the pieces fit together that they will not be lasting long. I also tried to order a port for dessert, and big surprise, they were out.
Saw a sign on the door advertising Sunday brunch and went the following Sunday with guest only to be told "we stopped doing brunch."
I love the location here and food is usually good, though a bit inconsistent, but management seems to be lacking!
The food was wonderful with large portions. The souffle for dessert was beautiful...and very tasty. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We loved eating outside.
We were pleased to see some favorite menu items from Olive Leaf still available. Jessie is a wonderful server!
We had a party of eight. The waitress played hostess and bartender as well. She did a good job! The food was good and the service was prompt. The prices were a little pricey for the area. Great view of the river!
The service was extremely slow. It took nearly 15 minutes before we were able to get some water. The food was good but way overpriced. Sitting outside on the patio on a nice evening helped overcome their deficiencies.
Worst brunch have ever had. At 12:30 there was not any other patrons. The food was completely dried out and barely warm. The credit card machine was down which not disclosed until the bill was presented. The chair I was sent at had broken springs coming thru the seat. Will not go back.
Bella Italia is definitely filling a void in So. IN! Family owned Italian food. Great to sit outside, as well. I highly recommend.
