Bella Bacino's is an Italian bistro that offers more than just pizza. His chefs work hard to offer patrons top-quality pasta created with only fresh ingredients. Everything is handmade on the premises, giving the dishes flavor that is unmatched. From heart-healthy pizza specialties like the spinach-stuffed pie to traditional lasagna or calzone dishes, the casual diner can find exactly what they want.

We arrived five minutes before our reservation and weren’t acknowledged until 15 minutes AFTER our reservation time. The hostess was very rude and didn’t give us and ETA. She just said “okay”. I had to flag her down and ask what was going on with our table. She responded with “sir you have only been waiting for 15 minutes”. At that point we walked out. We will never return to this restaurant.
Exquisite food in a gorgeous old building. It was fun to look around at the fixtures and beautiful wood touches. Having said that, once seated with drinks....we were asked to move to a different table because of a big party coming in. Poor planning is not our fault! Our salads came out AFTER our entrees, one salad was forgotten, and one was wrong. Yes, they were very busy on a Saturday evening but we made our reservation for 5:00, hoping to miss some of the rush. Because the deep dish was so divine...we will consider coming again while in Chicago.
Love this spot! Great chicago pizza. Apparently they're moving locations but will be back open in November!
This is an adorable place!!! We randomly picked this restaurant based off of our hotel’s recommendation and we were very happy!! Meatballs were good but a tad too spicy and the veal was fabulous!!!
The server was nice but service was ok. The food was so so. The pasta was cold. The manager / owner are very mean
Our server was amazing!
While the food was pretty good, the service was not the best. Wait staff would walk past all the time, not acknowledging guests and the food took forever to come. They were even ignoring us when we were trying to pay the check. Could be an okay spot for casual family dinners though.
Food was exceptional especially the Fuiti deMare. Clearly authentic and a great value as well. Would have given a fifth star for ambiance but the air conditioning in the rear was out and while they had a portable unit it didn’t quite keep up with the humidity/need. Do NOT take this wrong, this is a must visit restaurant and one I’ll return to when I’m in Chicago!
Oh and they magically found a 2007 Borollo that wasn’t on the wine list.
First time here. Part of hotel staying at. Air conditioning broken. They had a portable one going but still warm in restaurant. Cavatappi chicken was great. Offered bread after entree was delivered to table. Friendly waitstaff.
Great ambiance for a first date!
Service was subpar compared to previous experiences at this restaurant. Food was still delicious, it just took a very long time and our waiter was just okay.
Be sure to bring an appetite if you order the stuffed (deep dish) pizza. It was delicious, but I only managed one and a half slices. The others in my party were able to eat two. The sauce is made from fresh tomatoes and every bite was great!
The food here was excellent as always. The patio is a perfect place to people watch.
Delicious stuffed pizza, friendly staff, indoor or outdoor seating
Service was unfortunately really bad. We didn’t have a waitress for almost 20mins. She got our order wrong.
I love their pizza but was very underwhelmed with the service
Below average pizza, long wait time, weird restroom location....doesn’t worth trying
Restaurant was fine - but did not have our reservation which was made through OpenTable. This is not the first time that OpenTable has let us down this way. Fortunately, they had a spare table anyway. Get your act together OpenTable, please.
My family and I were excited to attend this restaurant because we had heard such good things. Unfortunately, we will not be going back to this establishment. The service is sub par at best and when addressed the server stated ‘we aren’t a fast food establishment’.. and I agree, but 1.5 hours for meals isn’t asking too much.
We wanted a deep dish pizza from Chicago. We walked from the Sheraton which was beautiful and had a wonderful meal and appetizers. The outside was very comfortable and beautiful just off the river
On a recent trip to Chicago, a friend and I decided to try this restaurant. The service was extremely slow. The food was just ok.
Food was good, but it took 30 min to get water, an hour to get a glass of wine and an hour an a half to get food.
This was a horrible visit. Waitress new and did not understand English. She got our orders all wrong. Totally disappointed, super long wait for drinks, appetizers and food. I will not be returning. This used to be my favorite spot for pizza.
Some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. The wait for the patio was well worth the views and people watching. Service is a little slow, be ready for a wait.
Many choices of menu items to chose from. I am on a diet and I had no trouble finding food within my perimeters. We had lunch and dinner here, and were very pleased with the food and the wait staff. I would not hesitate to go to this restaurant again.
Unbelievable food! One of my favorite dining experiences while in Chicago. I will review you wherever I can. You are one of the best!!!👏🏻👏🏻 Please DONT CHANGE!!!
Great way to experience Chicago-style pizza for the first time. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town.
Food was very good. Noise level rated high, but that's to be expected with outside seating. Views of the river and nearby buildings were great. Our service was a bit slow compared to how quickly we saw things happening at tables with other servers. Although slow, the server was pleasant and quickly addressed some minor problems for us.
Server was great, loved sitting outside!
I never comment on these things but felt compelled. Unfortunately, neither dish we had was very good. The Lazania was poor at best. The shell/noodles was hard and the recipe lacked flavor. The waitress was unaware of the specialty Lazania of the day was nor was she able to give my wife a suggestion when prompted. The spaghetti bolognese sauce also lacked flavor. Maybe it was the meatballs as they were spicy, more so than my liking. When reserved on Open Table, we even noted it was our anniversary, no one even mentioned this. Chicago Cut the night before greeted us with a "Happy Anniversary" and treated us with a desert. I guess the difference between a classy place and one that is mailing it in. At least that's the I we felt. Too bad, we were looking for another Italian choice in the loop area.
Frantic jazz was the background music. Coupled with concrete floors and bare walls made for an unsettled feel. That said, the wait staff was very pleasant. I had fruit of the sea and found it wonderful. Lots of fresh tasting seafood nestled in firm pasta and delicious sauce.
Food and service was good. Only issue was that we made a reservation on OpenTable for 6pm but when we got to the restaurant they didn't have our reservation and stated that their system stops taking reservations at 5pm. OpenTable should reflect this as we had a big group on a Saturday evening and had an event to attend afterward. Thankfully they were able to accomodate us quickly with very little wait.
The service was impeccable and the stuffed pizza was amazing. Warm goat cheese salad was delectable and we enjoyed the tomato basil bread. The pizza, did I mention the pizza and the pizza? Yum. Our waitress was quietly super attentive and split our checks with no problem. I am definitely coming back. The bathroom is clean, though needs some repairs. I think they share it with hotel.
Outstanding outdoor summer dining.
There was anything special about the food. However, we enjoyed the outdoor seating at their prime location in Chicago’s Loop. The waitresses at the restaurant were very pleasant and willing to hold long conversations with their guests. We will revisit.
Charming ambience and good service. Authentic cuisine, balancing contemporary and traditional offerings. Relaxed atmosphere. I brought friends who were visiting the city and they were thrilled. Conveniently located downtown.
Wonderful quaint Italian Restaurant. Food was delicious, atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting, and the service was spectacular!
It was our first time and we really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and everything came out of the kitchen in a timely manner. Food was delish!
Great pizza and friendly service!
Touristy location at downtown hotel, high prices for uninspired mediocre food. There are a thousand better restaurants nearby
