Belfre continues to impress us with their menu and food quality. Another terrific meal there.
Food was phenomenal
Excellent service and attention - celebrating a birthday with close friends - not at all rushed - very welcoming, with great hospitality - have already recommended to others
Awesome and delicious. Love the atmosphere and food
We had dinner with friends and tried many menu items. Most of us took home leftovers as the entrees were substantial. This is a very nice restaurant and we suggest you try it.
The walleye special and tenderloin bite appetizer was delicious but the restaurant was chilly!
Off night. Usually very good but food was disappointing today. Blood orange Salad that’s supposed to have pistachios, found a few pistachio bits total, proportions were off. Fish had some bones in it. not all donuts were cooked through.
Best Caesar salad ever
Many healthy options, quiet atmosphere, friendly staff
Food was great. It was a little annoying for our party of 2, arriving right on time for our reservation, to be asked by the host to wait for 10 minutes for a table, when during that period another party of 2 with a reservation time 15 minutes after ours checked in and was taken right to a table while we were still standing there. Started things off on the wrong foot, but the server was good and the food was great.
Excellent meal and the service was very attentive without being intrusive. Wonderful and highly recommended experience.
Belfre exceeded our expectations! The environment walking in was amazing, with the perfect lighting and a great use of space. The server was very kind! The food was not inexpensive, but was more than worth it because it was phenomenal. A perfect date spot and treat yourself dinner!
Dined at Belfre on 02/21/2020. That was the second time there for me. Four adults, one child in our party. Reservations at 5:45 pm. We were celebrating the birthday of one member of our party so we wanted to take our time and enjoy the evening. However, right from her first visit to our table, our waitress seemed very intent on having us order right away. We asked for additional time to order, both before and after we ordered two appetizers, about three times total. She seemed annoyed each time. Not sure why as the restaurant was not particularly busy. We left at about 7:35ish and there were several empty tables. Regarding the food, it arrived within a time I thought was to be expected. I ordered the salmon. It was grilled and was overdone. I like a bit of crisp on the top of my salmon with a moist inside. This was very crisp on top and on the bottom and was overdone inside. The veggies had excellent flavor but the red potatoes were underdone for my taste. On the other hand, a birthday desert was provided free of charge with a 4th of July sparkler blazing away at the table. That was cool. The other three adults all enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere is nice, with a younger crowd. It was loud but not a problem conversing. So, all in all, I gave the experience a three star. Not sure I'll go back unless it is the strong choice of people I'll dine with whom I really like.
This was our second visit to Belfre for dinner. We made our reservation far in advance which I strongly suggest since they seem to always have a line. The atmosphere is wonderful and their kitchen does an excellent job of accommodating allergies. We loved the scallops appetizer and my husband has had their hamburger twice and raves that it is the best. They had run out of cake so unfortunately we were unable to try dessert but that just means we have an excuse to return. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t had a chance to eat here yet!
The main course was very good. The cobbler and chocolate cake were almost inedible. The cobbler had like canned fruit that was hard and the cake was very dense and dry. Thankfully they were removed from our bill.
Good good and drinks!
Valentine’s Day. Food was great! Only downside was being near the door and it was really cold
Food is great. The place is beautiful and cozy. Good service
A consistent performer. Interesting menu items fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend this small quaint restaurant.
Great place - food was fabulous will go back for sure
the questions above is a yes with a but it's expensive. I had the beet salad with salmon and 20.00 is to me outragous for that food. I have had just as good other places. the food and service was very good but way too expensive for a lunch item. a 20 dollar small salad is rediculas. I realize it's "Delafield" but still. There are way more outstanding places to eat that are resonable.
Great food, great service. Slight downside to us was the noise level from other diners.
Crowded and was seated upstairs..which is very loud. Food was served quickly, but lacked the pizzazz that its had in the past. Tomato bisque soup was so thick and strong-like tomato purée. Our entrees were the chicken pot pie. Flavorful, but chicken tasted less than fresh. Fresh donut desserts were great-served hot and freshly made. Cost was high for what we received. A bit of a let down from the many times we’ve visited in the past.
Underwhelming with mediocre service. We had heard good things and wanted to like Belfre but our experience was far from what we expected. My husband waited over 20 minutes for his cocktail after being out of the type of bourbon he ordered then our server charge us for most expensive Chardonnay btg than what I had actually ordered. Food was good but over priced nothing that I’d want to come back for. All around disappointing experience will not be returning.
Outstanding food and service. The place is really loud though and that would be my only complaint. Besides that, a great experience. We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their food. We had lamb chops, scallops, steak, pasta dishes and salmon. Yum! We’ll be back for sure!
Always outstanding with fresh, creative specials. A favorite of ours!
Bruschetta was just okay but we had great drinks and our salmon was 10/10. Highly recommend.
The wife and I had never been to Belfre before. Intimate surroundings, very energetic crowd. We relied on our friendly waitress to make recommendations. She suggested the tuna tartare for a starter and the salmon and filet for our entrees. Our meal was truly outstanding. Everything had a wonderful flavor and you could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care used in preparing the meal. I would highly recommend!
Very good food. The salmon was great. The fresh donuts were amazing. Not very gluten free friendly. Limited gluten free options and did not seem willing to work with you regarding modifying menu items.
Thank you for another wonderful evening.
Beautiful way to celebrate a 50th Birthday!
Fantastic meal - one of our favorites!
Too noisy to carry on a conversation
Overall a very pleasant and yummy experience. I would just consider some small lights on the tables upstairs, it’s a little dark trying to ready the menus. My salmon was a touch overcooked but still tasted great.
This was our first dining experience at Belfre Kitchen. Everyone was pleased with the selection of food offered. We can’t wait to return soon!
Everything very good. Noisy
Great menu and food was delicious. It can get noisy in there but we had a wonderful evening
It was New Years Eve. We should have known better. Limited menu, extremely high price for the meal we received. 3 course dinner was very good except the desert was poor. We had lobster bisque which was very good, the Chilean sea bass was very good but small portion on risotto, and a desert. We each had one mix drink (two of us) and the dinner came to $200.00 plus tip. They also were pushing each course very fast as they wanted to turn our table, very obvious that they wanted us out in 45 minutes to an hour. Felt rushed and under appreciated during the meal. We were clearly just a number.
For $200 plus, this was a rip off. Not worth the money even though the food was good. Not sure I will come back and I’ll make sure I check the menu better in the future; especially on New Years. The normal menu was not in play so we only had limited choices. I get it, just felt like it was way, way overpriced.
Loud and noisy
Server was unclear about menu items
Will not be back
Made reservation for NYE and belfre called to confirm res and understanding of limited menu.
The price for the evening was steep ($98 for steak entree $85 for sea bass)
Rib eye with mashed potatoes, asparagus and dessert was as over priced as the risotto and sea bass.
The bisque was flavorful but on the thin side and could have given another dessert choice.
The charcuterie (not included in the above prices) was outstanding as were the wine choices.
I’ll be back as regular menu pricing looks more in line with market.
Great food, great service. Will definitely be back!
