It was our first time to eat here but definitely not our last. The food was delicious and portion size was amazing! Belfords is a beautiful restaurant and in a great location!
Loved this place, my second visit & will go back! Only negative thing the bread was not good and soaked in oil.
Great food, wonderful location and excellent service - everything you want in a good restaurant. Will definitely return. The bread pudding was to die for!
This was our best meal in Savannah. We sat outside under the canopy and enjoyed the fresh air. Wonderful experience.
It was Thanksgiving night and the kitchen personnel apparently wanted to get home before they finished their work. One of our group of four had to return both their entree and dessert for heating, each was cold when delivered to the table. And the reheating of the dessert took nearly 15 minutes because the “oven had been turned off” and had to be restarted. And all four of our entrees (including the cold one) were delivered within minutes of our salads, well before we were ready. If you’re going to be open on Thanksgiving (which we appreciated) make sure management staff is around and able to oversee the operation. Belford’s apparently has a wonderful reputation, but did nothing to convince us on this night.
Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Special menu, everything came out hot and fresh. Crab cakes were delicious.
Everything was great! Great service, great food and everything was timely!
Was an outstanding evening celebrating our Anniversary (38) with our son/daughter in law celebrating their Anniversary (4). Food was excellent and service just as good. Never disappoints.
The food was cooked perfectly and the service was outstanding. My mom wanted crackers with her soup, which they did not have. They were kind enough to offer to make some freshly prepared crostinis for her. That is above and beyond service in my opinion. Great place.
Excellent food and good service as usual. We have never had a bad meal.
Disappointed no local fish. Preparations of halibut and salmon just ok
Just these magic words get you two complimentary champagne glasses on a Friday night, “Friday night is date nights”. You got to say it right to receive the champagne. Let’s talk about how awesome the vibe, food, service and did I mention it’s in Savannah! Defiantly worth the splurge and must restaurant to try! Thank you Belford’s!
Terrible experience. There was a large table of very drunk and loud people a few tables away who were so loud we couldn’t hear each other. A man at another table stood up and stared at them for several minutes but then he and his party just left. The manager refused talk to them and just wanted to buy us more wine which we didn’t want. One server said that it was just the way Saturday night in Savannah was. Our waitress was great however and my friends both had filet mignon which they said was good. My halibut was terribly over cooked. Do not go to this restaurant if you want good food and ambience.
Wonderful restaurant in historic Savannah. I had the filet and it was so buttery and tender. The creamed spinach was very good and I opted for mashed potatoes instead of the fried potatoes that came with the entree.
We took guests from out of town for dinner. We all enjoyed our food...nothing was left on the plates.
I think this is one of the best restaurants in town for value, food and ambience. We ate outside and enjoyed both the weather and people-watching on City Market. Although we didn't have the crab cakes, I can also say they are the "best" of any place I've been. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We love this place, just weren’t on their “A” game that night. First off the manager couldn’t find our reservations. The calamari was fantastic (as always) something was off on the grilled shrimp but they did not charge us for it and even gave us a little token for our anniversary. We will always go back and truly enjoy this restaurant.
Great service by Caitlyn. Great food as always.
Was a Birthday of a friend and he wanted to go to this place. The service was great so the food! I recommend this place!
Best crab cake appetizer ever! Halibut and Scallops to die for. Great service too. Wow!
Overall excellent on all counts. We were visiting Savannah and happy that we discovered Belford whole walking around.
Superb dinner! I had the filet & it was like butter, perfectly cooked med rare! My husband had Halibut & he said it was fantastic! We had a lovely table by the window. Service was perfect, Chris was very knowledgeable, & over the menu & specials. We will definitely return on our next trip to Savannag!
Our waitress Walker was so wonderful.
We came to celebrate our anniversary and had a fantastic dinner. Our waitress incorporated our personal preferences into her recommendations which made it feel individually catered. Next time we may sit outside instead because the interior was kind of smoky, but still a great ambiance.
The waiter couldn't seem to understand that rose and chardonnay were not the same ! Service was slow and the food was lukewarm by the time it reached us. Very disappointed.
Best steaks and crab cakes in the city, dessert was magnificent, we're coming back tomorrow!!
Server, Foo, was outstanding Food was as very good and prepared exactly as requested.
Great food. Great service. Everything was perfect.
My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary on October 5th. We had dinner at Belfords on the 4th. The experience was amazing. The restaurant is nice, the food was delicious and served in a very timely fashion, but most impressive was the staff. They were friendly, attentive and most professional. We will definitely be returning soon.
Wife and I experienced a wonderful evening as we celebrated our 25th anniversary. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was perfect.
My friends and I went for brunch to cap off our reunion weekend. The restaurant and service were great, our food was bland, fruit was served warm as it had been sitting on a warmer.
My Shrimp and grits had 3 shrimp and half the plate were collard greens with no flavor.
The only thing we enjoyed were the biscuits.
Didn’t speak to manager as we were trying to keep the mood light.
Had crab cake and BLT stack and flatbread. All had distinct flavor and texture. Definitely met/exceeded expectations. Our server Ashley was attentive and professional. Overall a great experience.
There was a new head chef yelling/shouting orders at the cooks. She changed the atmosphere from one of peace to one of noisiness. Otherwise, I enjoyed my Belford's spot very well as usual.
Went for a birthday dinner. Not busy at all the night we were there. All of our 6 entrees were barely room temperature which is not cool for a $50 steak. All of the sides were room temp or colder as well, the only things hot were the fried potatoes so it’s like they cooked everything else and it sat waiting for the potatoes. We all left pretty disappointed.
Best meal we had all week! We will definitely go back next time we are in Savannah
We live locally and when visitors come in we take them to Belfords. Normally it is a great experience. Our server was amazing! Friendly and helpful. The food was not great, it came out cold.
The service was great but the food was eh, nothing special
Going to Belford's for lunch was an enjoyable experience. The calamari was excellent and worth the trip alone. For my entree, I had a delicious crab cake with an excellent tomato jam. However, the accompanying succotash was bland and the spinach was over seasoned. I would recommend having the crab cake appetizer instead as it comes with the crab and jam and not the disappointing sides.
Overall, Belford's is an interesting place. It's hard to say if I would visit again since I'm not in Savannah often. However, considering many of the finer establishments in Savannah aren't open for lunch, Belford's Savannah is an adequate option for an afternoon meal.
Lots of flies on the patio forcing us inside . Waitstaff were very accommodating.
Great food & great atmosphere
Node people and great atmosphere. Terrible food and overpriced.
