Very complicated and confusing trying to download menu and order off app. Wait staff does not take orders weird tipping on this kind of dining experience.

I was excited to take my little sister here. I had just picked her up from the airport and we wanted a early dinner. The waitstaff was very nice. What I didn’t like was having to order from the table on my phone. The restaurant next door had people taking orders. It would have been fine but it was not stated when I made my reservation. I ordered a chicken salad which didn’t look like the picture. The chicken was terribly dry. My sister had a steak which she said was okay. I would not go here again.
It’s time to go back to having waitstaff take orders and ditch the online ordering. While the process is fairly intuitive it takes too long and requires too many validations. Why do I need to prove I’m not a robot to place an order … especially when you know what table I’m sitting at. Also, it was kind of annoying that our fries came out well after the burgers and no one ever checked on us or refilled my water.
The burger itself is brilliant. Fresh, juicy and flavorful with the right mix of toppings (I did add bacon too). I’d honestly say one of the best in the Bay Area.
The patio ambiance was really pleasant…perfect nor cal weather doesn’t hurt.
This was my second visit. I will definitely return… hopefully service will be back to some form of pre-COVID normal.
Was pleasantly surprised by the service!! Even though we ordered through a QR code, it still felt like we were having the "normal" dining experience! Multiple employees brought water and treats for our dog, our water glasses were always full, food was EXCELLENT.

Ordering through their app was so depressing and took forever - if I wanted to spend half my meal on my phone, we could’ve just ordered food and stayed home

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. And perfectly cooked too. The fat fries were also remarkable and delightfully crispy. I enjoyed the lively, yet quiet ambience of the outdoor patio as well.
Excellent experience overall. It was only outside dining with a limited menu but the food was delicious and the staff was very helpful. Can't wait until they are back to inside dining and full menu.
We very much enjoyed our lunch on the patio Sunday afternoon. The phone ordering process was simple, the service was quick and the ambiance was excellent. Highly recommended!

Although some one did help us, older people may have trouble with the outside table scanning. We also went with our daughter and granddaughter who understood what he was saying. Otherwise, loved it. This was my second visit.
So good if you like meat! In the heart of Jack London Square. Easy parking. A relaxing lunch or dinner. Outdoor dining option very comfortable.
Service is terrible. They only put in the order after ordering and paying from your phone. It took us half an hour to enter our order but the payment does not work. Apple pay did not work or having problem. We ended up going to the manager and repeating the order and make a credit card payment.
Everything is a la carte but it ended up missing orders. Not very user friendly. How can i justify a 20% tip for all this trouble?
Celebrating a graduation for my teen. We ate outside with a semi self-service concept. You order and pay on your phone. It’s a fine concept for a more casual restaurant, but I felt more service was needed. The kids enjoyed their burgers, but my steak was mediocre.
The GoTab QR ordering platform caused a very poor/stressful ordering experience.
The order through phone system is a little weird. Took us a bit to figure it out, Didn't really know if I should leave a tip. Then we just kind of left after paying without saying bye to anyone. So I felt like I was dine and dashing.
We sat outside, overlooking harbor. Service was satisfactory and food was fresh and prepared well for casual restaurant.
The inability to discuss the menu with a waiter makes it a challenge but hopefully once Covid restrictions lift we can order normally again.
Everything was delicious and the setting was lovely!
Worst ever. The management at Belcampo act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to eat there. The food is ok, but the $20 hamburger is overpriced and the management confuses its own politics with its obligation to serve.
We will never patronize Belcampo again.

My steak was cold and thus the butter it came with it didn’t even melt and ended up as white chunks on my meat and when I made a special request from the bar, both the bartender and my server came to tell me why the request couldn’t be accommodated. I had apparently looked at an old menu, but they both seemed annoyed. In the new method of ordering , you also have place the orders on your cell phone yourself and have to register with the app they use. Not fan of that.
All ordering and paying was done by phone app, which okay except the app is poorly designed and hard to navigate.
Steer clear of this place. I go out to dinner a lot. This place is the most inconvenient place to go and have dinner. You have to order everything on your smart phone. Sounds simple, but the app is terrible to navigate and find what you want. Including paying and tipping. Cumbersome and you don't end up with what you really wanted because of the app limitations. The whole process is and a big hassle to find what you want to orders. When I sit down I want a drink right away. Forget that. You have to mess with the app for 10-15 minutes to find what you want. If you can. Drinks are limited, expensive and you actually have to build the drink yourself. Not a simple process. No appetizers. None. Only a couple pre-dinner salads. But you have to like Kale. Do people actually like Kale? Seriously no Caesar. No mixed or a Wedge you would expect in a place that charges what they do for steak. Sides are very limited to just a few. Menu is disappointing. Top that off with this time consuming app to order. If you want service and a personable experience. Skip Bel Campo. Much better places to spend your money at.
Overpriced for an average meal
The food at Bel Campo is incredible. Unfortunately the service and the upkeep, cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant is not on the same level, not even close. Perhaps it has slipped during the pandemic, not sure. But the outside area is poorly maintained. The process of ordering from your phone is totally lame - but moreover the tables were VERY dirty. There was dirty cutlery on the floor. The staff did not bring us place settings. It's just not a good dining experience - at all. They need to really improve the management and maintenance. Too bad, because the food is great!

The manager of the restaurant was extremely kind! The one thing that threw me off a little bit was absolutely no service besides when you order your meal via your phone. It would be nice if a waiter still came around to check in with the table a little bit. Especially since we bought drinks.
My family took me to Belcampo for Mother's Day. It's right near the water and the ambiance is fantastic! The food was not. Both my daughter and I ordered Ribeyes. This was the first time I have ever had a ribeye that was chewy. My daughter's was as well. Twice I had to use my napkin because I could not finish chewing my steak. It seemed to have a hard sear and finished in an oven, no grilling,that I could taste. So many of my bites were tough and chewy. My steak was hot but my sides were cold - not warm but cold. My husband and daughter got burgers. My daughter immediately ordered another because it was so small. She should have taken a bite before ordering the second because neither were happy. Both said the burgers were bland. My husband and one of our daughters got their entrees first. Tem minutes later, I got mine. 15 minutes later my other daughter got hers. The fact that my husband and daughter were done by the time my second daughter received her meal put a damper on things big time! I'm sure that why portions of our meals were cold. We didn't even consider dessert. I would say this is a fun place for cocktails, although we had to go to the bar and order them because they never came. The scenery was beautiful and the drinks were fantastic! However, for what we spent and what we received, it was very disappointing. I would recommend Belcampo for drinks in a beautiful location. I hope the food improves.

Don’t like ordering by my phone, I like to talk to a waiter or waitress. I had to flag them down to ask questions. $100.00 dinner without vegetables, I did know it didn’t come with everything again my phone didn’t tell me that. If you like the personal touch don’t eat there.
First time to do in-person dining in 14 months! They did a good job of making us feel safe and taken care of. Amazing food! Nice dinner for sure. Little pricey ...
My first restaurant experience in more than a year! My meal (satay salad +fries) was delicious; my friend who is a vegetarian felt limited in her choices (no fish, for instance). Wine list is currently fairly limited, but our server said they're working on building it back up. Patio is a great spot to eat.
For safety reasons, meals are served outside on the patio. The problem with that is our steak frittes were cold.
