Started off on the WRONG foot, ordered a double Siete Leguas neat in a brandy snifter. Wait person came back with my drink in a CHILLED rocks glass, saying they did not have a brandy snifter that held 2 shots. Broccolini, Brussel sprouts and pureed potatoes were very good as were the Pork Chop and 12oz Filet Mignon.
Hello Eats4BB3! My name is Gina and I am the GM of Belcampo. Ohhh that is a good drink served neat indeed. Im sorry to say that we do not have brandy snifters, and due to a double shot being 4oz the only glassware we have that fits that amount of liquid is our old fashioned glasses that are indeed kept in our chiller. I really appreciate your feedback as I think this will perhaps change the way we store at least some of our glassware. If you dont want it chilled there should be an option.
Over salted and overpriced. They always seem to be training new servers... are they not happy? I could see it being problematic that crazy people walk off the street and harass diners which is a shame. No one can help that, but it happened. Overall, not worth it. Was thirsty for the next 2 days.
Hello Crug. My name is Gina and I am the GM of Belcampo. Im sorry the food was not to your liking. Im also sorry that you experienced a person off the street coming into the restaurant. That happens from time to time and we address each person as quickly as possible with care and compassion. Its funny you mention the new servers as I JUST hired two, however before that I have not hired anyone for over a year. As we are coming into our busy season its time to staff up. I appreciate your feedback.

Couple of things- they need a house salad on the menu- they has some small leafy greens in a bowl- they have cherry tomatoes, they have cucumbers-why not have small house salad. 2nd , the booths, wee , they need to be fortified so when the person moves in the next booth, you don't feel it, it was annoying- invest in some better, stronger booths

We had excellent wait staff. Food was good but the steak could of been better. Our booth was not secure and every time the diner next to us moved or adjusted our seats were jostled around. It needs to be more secure as to not disturb the diners in the booth next to them!

The service has been terrible every time I've been here. The patio is wonderful and the meat is good quality so I may keep giving it a chance but the service is out-of-this-world bad.

Great all around.
The waiter forgot our order and had to ask twice. Waiter did not bring out 2 appetizer plates despite saying he will. Waiter spilled my water on my lap.
The Bitter greens salad with root vegetables and the Beef tenderloin was perfection in both visual and taste
Wow! From the time we stepped into the new place... late... service was amazing, food was Awesome and the ambiance led me and my 25 year boyfriend get a room!! Best Valentines Day ever!! Thank you so much!! We will be back!!
The Keto burger was delicious! Cooked perfectly. Unbun was surprisingly good. Side salad could have been a little more interesting. Service was good.
We had a wonderful server Tamara. We were ordering the fries, which she said we very good, but with our steak she recommended the potato purée. OMG, they didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back and try a new entree.
Good food, great atmosphere...the meat portion included on the "superman" salad, was more like mini-man.

This was my first visit to Belcampo and I was so thrilled that a friend recommended it to me. Maybe my experience was influenced by the great weather, the patio seating, and the cute dogs but this was a truly lovely experience. The service was very attentive and the food was fresh and very tasty. I will certainly be back.

Our entire meal and beverages were comped. The stress of the service is not worth navigating to get to the decent but inconsistent food. This is my second trip here and the experience the first time, closer to when they opened, was exactly the same— not worth it, even for free.
I've visited their farm in Northern Calif. and learned about their pasture fed livestock, so I expected an outstanding dining experience. I wasn't disappointed. Our meals were excellent, as was the service. I drove 1 and 1/2 hours to dine there, and it was worth the drive.

Second time to Belcampo and worthy of the jaunt from San Jose... one of the few restaurants that can literally check off every box on someone’s list....a must try for newbies and return jaunts welcomed for new culinary tastes and enjoyment....all is very well done...

The food was not good. The Steak was over cooked
the side of carrots were hard and looked like they
came out of a bag from the grocery store.
I felt like bugs bunny eating the carrots!
The chef asked to see the steak to see if the steak
was truly overcooked. They kept the steak
and the manager made a comment the that it must of been good
because the steak was gone but it was only
gone because they took the whole steak to show the chef
and did not bring it back! Very rude and unnecessary comment for a $$$ restaurant.
The only really good employee there was when we bought some
sausages from Marquise and the butchers counter!
He was extremely nice and very helpful! It is too bad
the chef and and managers could learn good customer
service from Marquise!

This is our #1 go to spot when we visit Jack London Square. We have had lunch here more than ten times in the last 12 months and every time is a hit. The staff is wonderful and the food is fantastic - reasonably priced too! We love the sheepskin seat covers on cold days. At the risk of having people read this and crowding the restaurant, this should be on your must do list. Oh, and have the bone broth! It's a religious experience! Can't wait for them to open in San Mateo near where I work!

I am a fan. The food is always cooked as it should. Had an “unseasoned” server who made some minor mistakes. However, management quickly and properly rectified the mistakes without our table even bringing the issue up.

Food was good but the service was bad. Our waiter was not very attentive, kept disappearing and there were long lapses in between our food orders. By the time we were ready to order dessert, we had grown frustrated from waiting and decided just to leave.
Went for Sunday brunch at 11:30 and it wasn’t super busy until we left, so it got noisier and there were more children by then. The server was great with helping us make up our minds on our orders. Everything was really good & we ordered a few sides to try - fried broccolini was outstanding! My Friends ordered the carrot cake for dessert and said it was one of the best they ever had. Very attentive on water refills and asking about another round when our drinks were low. I will definitely be back for a burger!!
Service was much better this time, but the restaurant was not busy when I first arrived. Food was very good and order came quickly. I would have ordered another drink but waiter brought the check without asking. Found that interesting. Almost as if our time was up so we needed to leave.
Everything was great. Only annoyance was getting an email from Open Table saying we missed our reservation.
Went there as it was shown on website as participating for "lunch" with set price for meal. This was not the case. Server said they were only participating for "dinner". Would have left if my party wasn't hungry. Very disappointing.
Food was great however service was below par. Waitress seemed to forget everything we asked for.
Awesome service & clean tasty food. Broccolini was a little oily but otherwise everything was great. Yay for grass fed organic beef.
Waiter appeared to wish he were somewhere else the whole time. Plates were taken away far too soon and it seemed that we were being rushed out of the restaurant despite it being half empty. To top it off, they dropped my fathers birthday cake when trying to remove it from the box and didn’t bother to say anything until after it was mentioned by our party. Just terrible.
Sat at booth near kids play area. Not a great seat for a couple who did not bring children.
Recommend you sit customers without kids on the other side of the restaurant.
Pleased with the overall experience. We enjoyed the selection.
Good food and a nice place. We hadn't been to Jack London Square for at least a decade.
